Divertir Publishing is wrapping up our first sci-fi anthology and our editor is 10k short of our goal. We have quite a few great stories but more is needed!

Entries must be from 1.5-15k in length with a science fiction/space opera feel. We're looking for action, adventure, romance - the universe really is the limit. Submissions including erotica or horror will not be accepted. Regardless of length, we want your characters to feel real, where we could reach out and touch them. Readers develop strong attachments to characters. At Divertir, we want to encourage that relationship.

We also have a current call out for steampunk and gaslight short stories: www.divertirpublishing.com/aut…

If we can publish those with the talent to stream consciousness from brain to fingers, it jump starts creativity. Ego, self esteem, validation and self-worth all stem from the accomplishment of that goal.  Writing is a talent not many people hone and develop. Divertir Publishing wants to push authors to never give up.

Royalties.
We don't pay authors for short stories but it give anyone whose story we accept bragging rights when they submit to agencies. Each story (or multiple) will be published under your real name.

How to submit: Send all stories to query@divertirpublishing.com.

During the review process, you are more than welcome to leave submissions on your deviantArt page.

You can message me (LateNightLady) with any questions you may have.

Thank you!

In case anyone is curious:

1.) You can keep your short stories on Deviantart. We are not wanting exclusive rights since we're not paying for submissions. This is pure publicity for the authors.

2.) We are happy to include whatever name you preferred - real and/or deviantart if you'd like. However, when submitting to agents, it is easier for them to find your published works using your real name.

Also, we would include either a B&W photo of you or any photo relative to your story(as long as you obtain the rights). If you don't have one, that is perfectly okay as well. The more we can showcase your work, the better.
