Well, as everybody is aware, DLD had closed its doors. But, a new group had risen from its ashes. [Not saying we actually burnt down DLD. 8D] DLR (DailyLitRecognition/LitRecognition) is a group that is loosely based from DLD. It has new and improved features, the community helped create it, and we're willing to listen to all your voices about the group. Have a concern? Tell us! Have a compliment? Tell us! Have a suggestion? Tell us! DLR is not meant to hinder you, but to help get literature across the whole of dA as its not as powerful as the other categories shown on deviantArt.

Hi, my name's Meagan. My account is Gingersanps. I had been a prose admin for DLD in the past, and I jumped at the opportunity to help with DLR's creation (and get involved). I have been the one to take the two minutes that everybody can view on DLR's journal. I am a co-founder for LitRecognition. I am one of the many people to post the daily articles during the week. I feel honored to have such a position within the group, and I plan to do everything 110% with pride.

I'm also the administration assistant. I'm not quite sure what that entitles, but it probably has to do something with the co-founder status on the group. I quite like my position in the group, so I shall not complain as much.

I am willing to take prose suggestions once again. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to take suggestions, but I'll place my guidelines below, so people can send suggestions to me. I expressed interest in taking them once again, so I hope I'm allowed to do this. (I know next to nothing about poetry which is why I don't like being sent suggestions. There are some amazing people working with DLR to send poetry suggestions too.) Well, I think that's all I wanted to say about DailyLitRecognition

Guidelines

  • Do NOT send me poetry suggestions -- please.
  • Prose suggestions only.
  • Please make sure grammar and spelling it mostly accurate. We're only human, and mistakes tend to slip past. Don't let them slip past  a lot.
  • I enjoy horror.
  • The story should have at least a plot, okay?
  • I adore two sentence stories and vignettes!
  • Guess what, I'm a brat, so I read every piece suggested to me then I reply to let them know I got the note.
  • Though I do, in fact, enjoy horror, I will feature other genres of prose. Send ALL the prose!
  • I do not take this thing seriously, do I? Oops.

What I'm looking for:

I'm looking for prose that shows the author put time and effort into it. I want pieces that pull on my heart strings, make me not want to sleep at night, give me something to think about and I want the literature to be something a friend (not from dA) would want to read. It's a weird thing to look for; however, if I couldn't show it to something about of dA then I wouldn't want to suggest it.

Just let me and my weird ways alone. ;P

ALSO, if you had to research something for your piece, I want to see that you worked that research in it well. I prefer if you had specified what you had researched in the author's comments, so I know that it was done well.

I'm a stickler on well researched stuff. ;)

Things I will not accept:

  • Smut/M-rated material
  • Lots of violence and gore (I believe this goes along with the above. If you need a mature filter on it, don't send it to me.)
  • Poetry
