Hapurianien's UltimatePokemonDesignContest Entry

So here is the design I have made for my first ever contest entry on DA! From the given list I chose to go with Alice from Alice in Wonderland. For her outfit I wanted to keep the same basic color she had for her dress in the movie, but I wanted to add a bunch of small details to the outfit as well. Before I get into talking about the outfit I would like to say first and foremost I had a blast making this character design! I wanted her to be a pokemon gym leader and to use psychic type pokemon seeing as Wonderland to me is almost psychotic and psychic types seem to fit it. Now onto the outfit!



First with the belt, it is attached to a waist pack or otherwise called a fanny pack. The chains attached to it have a few accessories attached to it such as a fake bottle of "Drink Me" potion and a diamond charm to represent the diamond suit of a deck of cards. Another detail I would like to point out is that each wristband she is wearing has the symbol for another suit from a deck of cards, one has a spade on it and the other has a club.



Next I have the skirt and inside of the skirt. I put ruffles along the edge to try and keep the girly, delicate feel that came with her original dress. Then there are the roses that decorate the inside edge of the skirt. The roses represent the scene when the white roses were being painted red so the Queen of Hearts would not behead anyone. One rose is fully painted red, then the center one is halfway painted, and finally the third rose is white and has yet to be painted red. Next is the tights. To me I feel no wonderland outfit is complete without black and white striped stockings so I went ahead and added in that detail as well.



The final details are not only the tie, but the crown on top of her head. The tie I wanted to keep simple, though I added on a small red heart (it's a little hard to see in this pic) so that all four card suits were included in the outfit design. Lastly the crown on her head is designed based on the Queen of Heart's crown. Anyway I'm very proud of this outfit design and I hope not only people who view this like it, but I also hope that Hapuriainen likes it as well!
