- Can manipulate water when it's calm, (think water bending but on a much smaller scale) the largest amount of water she can manipulate at a time is around the size of a watermelon, around 3 - 4 liters.
- Her wings are quite strong and she fan fly longer than most smaller winged bird mutants.
- She can hold her breath for around twice as long as the average birdkid/human. So anything from 4 to 7 minutes.

- It takes a lot of concentration to use her water manipulating powers, and it tires her out after using it too much at a time.  It also gets dangerous and a strain on her mind when she tries to manipulate more than her 3 - 4 liter limit.
- It takes her wings longer to heal should she fall and break a bone in either of them. 
- She gets dehydrated very easily and needs to carry a bottle of water with her just in case.

She's very curious and loves learning new skills and information, and would sometimes stick her head into a beehive just to learn what's inside, though over the years she's gotten a bit smarter about what to try and delve into and what to rather leave the hell alone.  She's opinionated and feels very strong about her opinions and beliefs, she won't judge or try to restrict someone else's opinions but she will share hers.  She's very brave and would protect her friends or stand up for herself and them should the need arise.  She's very protective over her friends and motherly, she enjoys baby things like most people, baby things like chicks, and kittens and so on, though her motherly side extends to mutant kids as well.  She's a bleeding heart so she's also very gravitated towards helping kids less fortunate than her.  She's very headstrong and stubborn in the way that she'll strive to get her own way, if she wants to do something, there's very little that's going to stand in her way.  All in all she has a very outgoing and strong personality.

Olorato was born in a small village in a war stricken part of central Africa, the exact village is unknown.  Olorato's parents were fearing for their daughter's life and when relief workers came to their village, promising a better life for the kids there if the parents gave them up, they jumped at it.  So at the age of around 4 she was given to the relief workers along with the village's other young kids. 
These kids were taken to a camp where the experiments started, the kids were fed and kept safe there, but they were also subject to hundreds of needles filled with strange liquids each day.  They didn't question it though, and the older ones who did and tried to escape the camp were never seen again.  Some kids died of 'illnesses' during these initial experiments and their deaths were written off to Malaria and other illnesses, but in actual fact it was their bodies rejecting whatever DNA altering liquid the scientists were pumping into the kids.
Olorato was one of the lucky few who survived the initial experiments, these few kids who didn't reject the DNA altering were shipped to a school in Florida where the experiments continued.  Here the kids received their animal mutations, Olorato received her wing grafts at the age of 6 and the experiments continued.
Olorato at first was very scared throughout the testings and experiments, not understanding the language of her captors that well, but as time progressed she learned English and has been perfecting it ever since, thanks to those fast learning skills most mutants seem to develop out of necessity. 
After one of Olorato's tests, while she was being wheeled back to the cage room in her cage, a lab break happened and some of the mutants escaped, on their way out they knocked the whitecoat out who was taking her back, and found the keys to her cage and freed her.  She stayed with the kids for a while since she was only 11 at the time and couldn't take care of herself that well on her own.
She traveled with the kids and they survived by staying in abandoned buildings, stealing clothes from stores in the area they stayed and so on.  She learned to speak fluent English with the group of kids and even learned a few other words in other languages, since most of the kids came from other schools in other countries as well. 
They eventually caught wind of a story about a camp for mutants like them from a kid they met on the street who also escaped from a school.  At first they didn't believe the kid but later Olorato decided to check it out, and so she broke off from her group and went to search for this camp and eventually found her way to it.
At first she was cautious about the camp, it seemed too good to be true, but she decided to rush in and check it out, and she hasn't been regretting that stupid move since.

- She's based on the idea of those African kids the flock went to help out with in one of the books with those marks on their arms.
- She can't speak any African languages because she mostly forgot the few words she did know back when she was still living there before age 6.
- She's mostly American in the way she speaks now, but would like to learn other languages in the future.
- She loves patterns and designs that're based around African art, since she'd still love to retrace her roots and go visit her home country and try to find her family again.
- She loves clothes and enjoys designing them sometimes, but she can't make them herself.
- She's crazy about animals and especially baby animals.  Her favs are monkeys and lions of course, but she also has a love of ducklings.
- Olorato is not shy about her body or much of anything really, she's very outgoing and loves dancing and taking charge during social gatherings.
