Grand Opening

Today is a special day. A special day indeed. Today marks the day that I, the mayor, open our gates to all those who wish to make a life here in the town of Hemlock. I welcome anybody to our little town and I hope you all enjoy your stay here.
Don't forget mayor, those who have recently moved from Maple town can take up residence here as well.
Ah Yes, Henry, I heard about them. Those poor souls, the devastation, the destruction, the mass amounts of those lost in the wreckage.

Though really, I don't blame them for not preparing themselves, I mean, it's not every day that a giant Tom Nook robot comes crashing through a village!

Now, where was I...? Oh, yes! There are a few houses that have been built to welcome our new residents, so make sure you take one. Once they are gone, I'm afraid you will have to live in a tent; of course, you can buy a house to be built once you have enough money.

Erm... Please read our town rules and submit an application to me and I'll sort it. Also, Tama, our train driver, is giving free travel fares to help those without transport to move in... Erm... That's it, I think.

Summary

The town has opened, which means we are now accepting members! When asking for a join request, please link your application; we will review it and let you know if anything needs changing. Once accepted, please submit your applications to the right folder ("Resident Applications"), and please read all required journals in the welcome box. Applications don't count towards bells.
Those that apply now and draw a picture/write about their villager moving will be given a house to start! This only applies to the grand opening, all other openings will require the villager to start with a tent.

The picture/writing can depict:

-Villager moving into Hemlock town.
-Villager moving from Maple town (if villager used to live there).
-Villager saying hello to NPCs.
-Showing the villager's house.
-Traveling to Hemlock town via train or taxi.
