I see you there down the street, standing so bold and tall
My heart drops to my stomach, I rush to your out stretched arms
The closer I get, the further you seem…fighting, struggling, to your call
I realize that what I’m rushing to is nothing, nothing at all
I know that you have left this earth, gone home where you belong
But the pain and hurt I feel each day, never seems to ever dull
This life is a little sadder, without your gleeful charm
The smile on your face, that warm loving embrace, can never be erased
I hope you know I love you, and miss you every day
But know that I will see you soon, when I come home to stay

Be what seals the cracks
That have led you to this
Reveal, don't conceal
The emotion that strangles
The decision you yearn to make -
For then, and only then,
Shall you cry and show the world

To show your pain
Instead of running away
But if that's your choice,
