A princess strange with hair like night and jewel-red eyes, whose Brother was darkness and whose Sister was pain, who knew well of hate but even more of love, and was stronger than any of them for it. [X]

Fanart from nowhere, I know. But oh man, this fic was just so wonderfully rich and powerful and gorgeously crafted that it reminded me of everything I liked about Princess Tutu (really, if you're looking for excellently feminist fairytale metafiction, I can't recommend better). And suddenly I had to draw Rue, lovely sad resilient antiheroine Rue, because I was utterly overwhelmed with EMOTIONS.
