Tranquility

Code Name, our English Imperial Dog, and Fable of War, our Western Imperial, went for a hike up Mt. Woodring, located in the Teton range. Farah (left)was quite the adventurer, trotting off-trail to briefly follow scents and chase birds. At one point, she spooked a deer, causing to flee into the brush, which of course meant Farah was at it's hooves. Though she had good callback, it took a lot to convince her to returned to us. Thankfully, it had only been a black-tailed deer. Moose and bear were always a possible sight in the backcountry; both of which we wanted to avoid for the sake of the dogs. Thankfully, Baylor(right) was less-interested in running off. He was more inclined to stay on trail, watching over the pack to make sure nobody had been left behind. 
After a few nights backpacking in the backcountry, we spent a day exploring the town of Jackson and the rest of Teton National Park, scouting the area to see if it would be a subtitle place to relocate Orchard Valley Kennel. After thoroughly exploring both the untamed wilderness and the small town, we were quite impressed with all Wyoming had to offer. Hopefully the kennel will be able to organize itself enough to move to America in the near future!

The difference between the english and the western Imperial Dog can be seen above. The English has a leaner, more shepherd-like body structure, which is similar to the Belgian Malinois. Alternatively, the Western has a square head and a stockier body, like the Rhodesian Ridgeback.
