An idea I was kicking around this morning during my one-hour commute to work. As far as I can discern, the designs for Latias and Latios are not based on anything specifically, whether it be a living creature or a mythical one. Then I got to thinking about what it would be like if they were their own species, like dragons or gryphons or unicorns. This is somewhat like how I thought they should look: sort of a mix between the Latis, Reshiram, birds, and dragons. The head structure is not quite right (she looks a bit mean), but I have a hard time getting images from my brain onto paper, so I went with this for now.
