:iconsparkanine:
The weather today was brutal; not only was the sun scorching hot, there were no clouds in sight and it hadn't rained for a few days now. If this kind of weather continued, the rivers and streams would surely start to dry up; and that was the last thing this land needed. This weather didn't effect all the creatures though. Reptiles were surrounding the bodies of water and the insects were buzzing around every soul- annoying them more than anything. If anything, it was more of a trouble some and stay at home kind of day.

The large black and white male with a battle scared body had other plans though; he wished to see a dear friend of his, his only friend. It was unusually hot for the summer time, he was lucky his coat shed so thinly around this time of year, it kept him rather cool. Though he lived in the mountains, even with a thin coat; his body was used to the weather and had adapted to it over the many years of his life.. This hot weather was just another challenge for him to over come as well; he was also not one to go swimming, more of a bare with the heat kind of wolf.

Razor was nearing the Kausen territory from the edge of it, closest to the mountains. He had met Impala here twice now, so he figured if he waited long enough, the female would appear again. He was unable to get her image from his head; her hauntingly beautiful ambers eyes always seemed to be looking at him when he closed his eyes. Admittedly, he loved the she-wolf. Razor was a large, ferocious looking wolf, with an odd long white mane trailing down his neck; and a loner on top of that. Not many females would take time and day just to chat with him; or even show kindness. Was it wrong for him to like her though? After all, she was young, far younger than he was....d He shook his head away from the thoughts and continued on, nearly reaching the territory's marked boarders.

When he reached a small bounder, Razor leapt a top it, and sat, looking out toward the Kausen territory. He wasn't a far sighted wolf, probably one of his biggest down falls, but who needed to be far sighted when you had a strong and toned body like his own? Yawning, his pearls showing, Razor rested on the boulder, which was rather cool to the touch and felt good on his stomach. He hoped the female would show today, he would much enjoy her company on such a dry and hot summer day.

:iconhyperesis:
Whitewall was on a midday border patrol, alone. At times, the male preffered alone time, especially when he had thoughts to contemplate to himself. He thought about the wolf he killed the other day; Ulric. The haunting image of the big male wolf crying under a tree, all mental stability and memory lost, just defeated. He hated that he had to kill the male in such an undignified way, it haunted him. In th past, killing a wolf never bothered the guard, this was simply because their deaths cam in battle, not when they were crying like lost pups. The conflict battled on in his head. He killed this eolf, and gave him no noble death, but he still saved the female he cared about most; Impala. Over a short amount of time, the two packmates had become very close. He trusted her wth many things he didn't trust with anyone else. With her, he could be his true self. He could be happy, worry free, and live the life of a wolf he couldn't of in Chamlek.

Suddenly, the male picked up on the scent of a loner, who was much too close to Kausen territory. The guard let out a low growl, and started running to the source. Whitewall had little tolderance for loners, and wanted to do everything he could to keep his pack and the female he cared for safe. He sped through the forest, as if he knew it like the back of his hand. He leaped oer fallen logs and off of boulders as he came at them full speed. It was part of his duty to know these lands, in order to traverse them safely and quickly. Now, he wished he had Impala with him, his patrols and adventures were always much more interesting with her around. The guard slowed his pace when the lone wolf came into view, it was a male, and he looked like he was waiting for someone, or something. Whitewall grumbled, this male looked way too comfortable this close to the boarders. He held his head high, his hackles twinging at the tips, his lips curled into a frown, and his blue-grey eyes cold, as if he could look at a wolf and freeze them. He looked the loner directly in the eye. "Seems to my eyes you've welcomed yourself to close to Kausen's land." He spoke in his rusty, smooth voice that was melted within his thick accent and choice of words. He waited for the male to respond, never going off of defense mode.

:iconsparkanine:
There seemed to be a bit of commotion in to woods that laid before Razor's eyes, his ears twitching as a wolf came into a view. It wasn't Impala. "Pity.." He thought aloud as the other wolf glared at him. He just have been a guard to the Kausen pack, just dandy! When the male spoke, Razor didn't budge. He continued to stay on the boulder in a relaxed pose, his forepaws crossed over one another as he turned his head a bit, his gaze seeming; unamused. "I always seem to attract the guards of this pack.." He then looked to the male again and chuckled softly. "I am not bothering anyone, just sitting here enjoying the summer sun on this cooling rock." It was obviously a lie, but there was some truth in it. Razor wasn't afraid of the male, he was a little bigger than the guard but if Razor knew anything, size never mattered in a real fight. "Out for a stroll yourself on this fine day?" Friendly conversation, no- there as amusement behind this sentence, and in his voice; Razor unnaturally wicked looking grin stared down at the guard of Kausen. He was a good three feet off the ground, Razor was; perched on the boulder like a lion king looking over his pride lands. His tail swished a bit behind him. This was more amusing than he thought it to be; he wondered how far he would be able to dig under this guard's skin before he attempted to 'shoo' him away, or attack.

:iconhyperesis:
Whitewall wasn't in the mood for games, not today at least, he had too much on his mind already. It almost seemed as if this male was mocking him, or purposely trying to dig his claws under his skin. Whitewall's patience level always ran incredibly high. "Patrolling, as it is my duty to protect the pack." He said sternly. The guard wasn't about to open himself up to just anyone. His mental walls had already gone up the second he saw this wolf. He knew if he were to mae conversation, he would make it short and simple, and if this wolf crossed the border, there would be trouble. "You are waiting for something. Loners don't purposely come to the border unless there is soething they desire." He said with a huff. He sat down calmly, waiting to see if this wolf would cross the border. Whitewall prayed, for the wolf's sake, he didn't. The male was only a little bit bigger than him, but still, loomed over him as he sat ontop of the boulder. This bugged the guard, he never much liked being looked down upon, and he didn't particularly like the fact that he himself was a smaller male, it made him all the less intimidating. Still, his fighting and hunting reputation was well known in the pack, and Whitewall assumed that this male hadn''t seen him before. He held back a grumble of irritation, but held his gound where he was. He would not cross onto unclaimed territory, as that was disrespectful to cross into this loner's home area, plus, he was not looking for a fight, yet. If the loner wanted one, he would hae to cross into Kausen. The guard kept his eyes locked on he male, waiting for his next words or actions.

:iconsparkanine:
"Patrolling this, patrolling that, is that all you Kausen members do?" With each 'patrolling, Razor would toss his head from one side to the other before chuckling and looking back down at the male wolf; his next words made his hackles itch a bit; something they desire. "Yes.." he murmured in response as he watched the male sit, he really was content on waiting to see if he was going to cross the boards. 'How else to get under his skin... Hmm' Razor thought... "AH!" he said aloud in explanation, his idea finally coming to him as he grinned and looked down upon the small male. "I see how it is now, you don't want me to come across your lands because last time I killed a formidable foe?! Ehh?! The meat eating boar, hahaha." He chuckled, he didn't know if Impala had actually told anyone of their encounter, but, if she had; he was sure it would have reached the other guard's ears, since they are the ones supposed to be on look out and protecting the pack. Oh yes, protecting the pack and all their members. "You all should be thanking me and allowing to cross these lands, after all I saved one of your members from death." Razor snorted as he glared down at the wolf.

:iconhyperesis:
Whitewall stiffled a laugh at this wolf's battle stories and rose to his feet, pacing along the border. Though, this was not out of patience, but out of amusement, as he geared up to tell his stories."Believe me, boy, you don't want to mess with the former lead hunter of the kingdom of Chamliek." He begun as he looked at the male, then decided to explain in a bit more detail. "Unlike you, I earned my name, and my title. My whole life, from pup to adult, I trained to be a killer, a warrior, a defender. I've seen my whole kindgom burn to the ground, I've fought wolves in number's you wouldn't imagine, even recently, a bear." He growled lowly at the male that lay on the other side of the border. What the malesaid was true. But he didn't wish to go into much more detail besides that. Whitewall had seen more death than most at his young age, and he had loads of experience packed under his belt. Often, his size was always underestimated in combat, but their underestimation always gave in the upper hand in battles. He gave a sneering smile to the male, baring the tips of his front teeth, showing he meant stricly business, and was not ready to make a new friend, especially of his sort any time soon. "The look of a true defender, will lie in your eyes, and as of now, it is invisible to me," Whitewall grumbled. This he said true, emotion drained from the eyes as a wolf sees more terrible things, puts other's lives before their own. Althoug the guard din't know much about the male, he was trying his hardest to get him to leave. He sighed abruptly. He was getting worked up again, and at this point there wasn't much other than a particular female to come calm him.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor scoffed and rose to his feet, his battle scarred chest visible now as he glared down at the younger wolf, slightly agitated now. "I was raise to kill from birth, don't go talking all high and mighty when you no not of others lives." His fangs snapped shut, his hackles raised as his past seemed to come flowing back into his life. "Wolf after wolf, Mountain lions, bears and boars, lynx and fathers!" He spat out at the male below him growling. I am a trained soldier from Onhu Peaks; mountains that touch the sun and moon, son alpha Zeroes! As well as his murder!" His eyes showed nothing but hatred at this point, he wanted to taste blood..." I earned my name through all those whose fallen at my feet; I am The Ripper!" Razor whole body was twitching, his mind got joy when he spoke his title. His chest heaved up and down as he glared at the male. His fangs bared as he growled softly out of annoyance. The guard had gotten under his skin; it would be hard for any wolf to calm him now.

:iconhyperesis:
The guards hackles rised immediatley at this, he snarled a vicous noise, baring all of his teeth at the male infront of him, attempting to look as big as he possibly could."Murder is no noble move, wolf! Why kill your own sire?!" He was angered by this, families should never kill familes. This made Whitewall's anger skyrocket. His tolerance for things along that line ran slim, unless it was for an incredibly good reason. But as of right now, all he saw this wolf as was a murderer. He never had remembered being this angry at someone or something. But for one, this wolf was obviously waiting for someone at the borders, and he as praying it was not the female he cared for. He had saved her from a rabid wolf, as well as a black bear in the near past, he was more than comfortable protecting her again. "I know not of your motives, but don't you dare harma single wolf in Kausen, especially Im-" He stopped himself for a moment. He could not act as a protector over Impala when she infact, at the moment, was only a friend to him. This thought crumpled the male on the inside, and his eyes went soft, the iciness of them moving down to his paws. He was getting angry at a loner for doing nothing wrong. Dep inside he knew that his tolerance for anyone or anything had gone down since his last two enounters. But who was to say this wolf was bad yet? Besides the fact he killed his father.. But Chamlek killed their weak.. His hind legs thumped to the gound, and he slowly raised his head back up to the male."My apologies, this is not usual of me, to be this protective over, lord, the land." He spoke calmly. "I should not judge before i know."

:iconsparkanine:
His question rang out and racked through Razor's mind; why kill your own sire? It didn't take him long before he responded, his bark loud and clear. "Because he didn't stop his mate from killing my mother! He treated me like a soldier not a son! What sire, what father would do such things!" He roared out, firry in his eyes as his ears twitched. "He was a Tyrant if anything! He deserved death!" His chest rose and fell with his anger, his body twitching from it as well. Razor knew the wolf had cut himself sort of saying a wolves name, which made him wonder who it was, he stood atop the boulder and looked down at the male as he spoke again, apologizing. Razor snorted and turned his head away. He didn't care for his apologizes; then it hit him. Still looking away, Razor spoke. "You were going to say Impala.. Weren't you?" He asked, as he turned his gaze onto the male once more; his stance not as threatening, but still strong. The breeze below around the both of them, ruffling through Razor's mane, and carrying his light tail with it as well; his ears were forward, awaiting an answer.

:iconhyperesis:
He closed his eyes tightly when the male spoke her, name, he knew her, she was the one he was waiting for... "Yes, I was.." He said sadly, standing back up on his feet. He looked up at the male, eyes full of honesty, and even a pang of sadness. He easily guessed why the male was here for her, because he, too, shared the same feeling he did with Impala. " saved her from a bear attack, and a rapid wolf recently...We've grown quite close.... I see you take a liking to her as well, correct...?"He asked, assumig, with this male's temper, the conversation may erupt into a bloodbath at any given moment. Whitewall then wondered how she had met the lone male that stood before him ,and how the two were able to grow so close in two different territories. He sighed almost silently, hope, but not all, traveling quickly throug his body. This male was much bigger and much more fiersome than the smaller guard was, and probably a better option for the lovely female in the long run. Whitewall knew Impala deserved whatever made her happy, and in the end, it was her choice. He held on to a glimmer of hope, that in some miracle, she wanted him.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor had calmed down for the most part now, just eyeing the other male. They had grown close. "Tch.." Razor looked away, agitated. There was no way he'd have a chance with the female if this male was in the way. He closed his eyes in thought. 'Hm.. If I kill him Impala would hate me.. If I attack him, she'd still hate me, but if he attacks me...' His eyes darted around behind his eyelids in thought, before he opened them and looked down at the male once more. "Yes, as you stated, I came here for something I desire." The last word he drug out, almost as if he meant to use Impala for breeding; which he didn't, not at all, but the other male couldn't know that. "We've been discussing her coming to live with me in the mountains, she'd be trained properly there was well." He nodded before looking down at the male again, his tongue swiping over his nose as he smiled. "Apparently she isn't very satisfied with living on these lands, Kausen's lands..." He glared at the male. "Your lands." he added. Razor was standing tall still, upon the boulder, he looked much like an alpha if one didn't know him; but, he ended up relaxing slightly at the thought of impala once more. What would she think of him right now? She had seen a side much worse than this though. Scoffing at his own thoughts, he watched the other wolf, wondering what he'd do now.

:iconhyperesis:
Whitewall Started at the male in disbelief, letting out a low warning growl. "She is by no means a trophy." He said sternly to the male. "Any wolfwould be lucky to even have the privilege of having her as a friend..."He said slowly. Maybe that's all she thought of him as, just a frend, and maybe this male was the one she loved. He let out a sigh, but still clung on to the little hope he had left withing him. He was glad he and Impala had grown so close. He could find comfort in her when he could find it no where else. He knew that even if they couldn't be together, he still could not afford to lose her friendship and trust, she was all much to special to him."It is her choice, she will pick whom makes her happiest. It may be you, it may be me, who know as of now. Fate is not for us to decide, wolf." He said calmly, hurt still ever the slightest present in his voice. He tried to look o nthe positive side, and desperatley tried to cling to the hope that burned like a flame within him he desperatley tried to keep ignited. But with each word out of this wolf's mouth, was like water to his flame.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor looked down at the male and grinned; he seemed to almost have him. "Where were you when she needed you then, hm?" He asked, finally leaping down from the bolder, standing in front of it now. "What friend at you, to leave her life endanger?" He barked out, glaring at the guard of Kausen now, his hackles twitching with irritation. Where was he though on that night? Letting a lone wolf like himself into the Kausen territory; if he hadn't acted friendly, he might have killed the female he was falling for before he had even gotten to know her; and if Razor hadn't been there, would someone had arrived in time to save Impala from the wild boar? Would Razor had ever met another female that had treated him like she had? the questions racked in his brain, but only for a moment as his attention was pulled to the male again; his tongue running over his lips as he watched the guard.

:iconhyperesis:
Whitewall glared at the male, but only simply said."I've saved her life twice. Once, from a rabid loner who wanted her head, another from a male black bear. I've been by her side no matter what, and I will remain there through thick an thin, she may choose you, and if she does, I will still try to keep her at least as my dearest friend." He replied to the male, confidence growing in his chest a little. He refused to start the fight with this wolf, but he could feel it coming like a wave, about to strike. It was obvious the male infront of him was trying to edge him on, Whitewall had learned this in his training, to always try to keep a level head, no matter what the other opponent was saying, lies or not.  He stood his ground against the male wolf, muscles locked. He was on the morder line of defens and attack mode, waiting to see which one he needed to switch into first.

:iconsparkanine:
A wolf with Foaming Mouth Disease. "I hope the rabid wolf didn't bite you, Impala would be in danger if so..." He then looked over the males posture, and grinned; just one question remained. "Well, mister guard." He still didn't know the males name; ah well, it couldn't be help- though the  male did know that he was known as 'The Ripper' …"I must ask you.." He stood tall and looked the guard of Kausen in the eyes. "How will you save her from me?" Blunt, strong, straight forward, and an unwavering question.

:iconhyperesis:
"He did not strike me." He male said bluntly , he listened to what the lone wolf before him said, briefly glaring as he asked his last question. Whitewall hought for a moment about the situation. He shrugged at the male, pacing along the border of the territory for a few moments. Soon, his cold eyes met with the loner's a sure look on his face." I cannot save her from what she wishes to have."He bagan slowly, his voice never wavering. "If, she ends up desiring you, I will not keep her from the happiness she deserves."The end of the sentence came from the male's mouth sharply, as if to warn the lone male of Impala's importance to him, and all that the female did deerve.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor was intrigued by the male guard; he too felt affection toward Impala; just as he did- but both could not have her. Letting out a snort, Razor began to walk forward, step by step as he spoke. "You plan on just standing aside and allowing someone else steal what is precious to you? You land wolves are so spineless." He was a little bit annoyed at this point. Truly this other wolf, this guard, could not hold more affection for Impala as he, Razor did; otherwise he'd be fighting for her right now. "Land wolves are weak over all; they have poor judgment, the can't jump nearly as far as we-" Razor was now referring to his birth pack, mountain born wolves. "-and they don't even know how to fight for someone or thing they care about.." He stopped, his forepaws over the boundary to Kausen now. "Can't even fight for someone they love." He said bluntly, looking at the male.

:iconhyperesis:
Whitewall growled lowly as the male spoke. "I want what is best for her, I love her, with every fiber of my being. But, I alone cannot choose who she loves, that his for her soul to pick. You cannot claim someone whom has their own thought and will. If she loves m, she will come to me. If she loves you, she will do the same. It's common sense, and nothing for me to me mad at. Think of this, to be mad at a wolf becuase she can't stop having feelings that she can't control for another male? Thats ridiculous." His stance turned slowly into an attack one, as the male called his kind spineless."You know nothing of me, or the pack I live within, now I suggest you take your paws back a little, wolf."He said sternly. Whitewall was excellened at holdiing his tongue. Part of him, his past, wantd to attack the male right on the spot just for the insult, and being only centimeters into the territory. But his other half knew to hold back, to always remain calm and collected, in order to think logically."If she loves you, she does not need protection from you. But, its a differen't story if she fancies me."He said with a small shrug. To him, this was simple ,and he couldn't understand why the other male could see the situation through the guard's eyes.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor understood where the other male was coming from- but at this point; his challenge had already been made- The challenge to be the only one Impala 'fancied' as the other put it. He chuckled softly, knowing he was irritating the other wolf; but he grinned. "Now, now, mister guard; I am The Ripper, not a wolf.." He pawed at the ground a bit, digging into the dirt slightly, smiling a wicked grin, one befitting of a devil. "The Ripper follows no one's laws- and has no boundaries..." He added as he took two more steps forward, half his body now within' Kausen's territory. Razor's golden eyes show a sort of madness behind their gaze- not a physical disease, but more of a mental one. "I am here for one wolf, and one wolf alone; now stand aside, MUTT!" He barked out at the guard, baring his fangs, his hackles twitching and his muscles itching for action- his fangs blood thirsty too.

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala padded through Kausen territory, looking for Whitewall. They would soon embark on their journey to his home land of Chamlek and she was trying to think of what to bring... so she figured she would ask her friend. Now that Ulric was taken care of, Impala no longer feared trecking through the forest by herself as she looked for the big male. She scented the air carefully, closing her eyes as she drank in the forest scents, trying to find his. And there is was! He must have passed by this way. Patrolling the mountain borders, she assumed. She trotted after the scent trail, her tail high and waving in the air. It was a lovely day in Impala's eyes, and the gentle breeze ruffled her long, curly fur as she bounded along. Soon she would reach her favorite part, the edge of the treeline where an open field spilled out to the mountains. She bounded through the brush and into the field only to catch another scent.... Razor? What was he doing here? She got worried... what if he had come into the territory and Whitewall had discovered him. Would they get into a fight? She did not know who she was more afraid of... she hoped that they missed each other and did not end up meeting... still, there was a certain urgency as she trotted toward the scents.

Sure enough... they came into sight, staring each other down, looking about ready to break into a fight. She  sank into the bushes for a moment, her eyes wide. What if they fought? She didn't want to see either one get hurt! And look at how big Razor was compared to Whitewall... she felt a sinking feeling of concern for him... would he be able to beat the rugged mountain wolf? And that mountain wolf looked like he was about to attack! Surely she could at least try to smooth this over... She at least had to try. Suddenly she heard Razor bark out loud and she leaped out instinctively, in a soft of panic that she would be too late if she waited any longer. "Razor!" she cried, bounding toward the two males. Her voice was not stern or angry. It just sounded upset and stressed. "What are you doing? You can't attack a Kausen guard on his own land! You'll have the entire pack on you!" she stopped in front of both of them, her amber eyes flicking between them both, but looking mostly at Razor, whom she had addressed.

:iconhyperesis:
Whitewall stood his ground as the male taunted him. He knew very well that he should not initiate the fight, and wait it out until the male made his move first. Whitewall was not known for starting fights, but he was well known for finishing them, with victory on his side. However, this male was much bigger than he, and, from what the wolf said, had quite a reputation of his own. The guard knew that could easily be a bluff to scare him, so he did not let fear eat at him. "Your name does not matter, regardless of it, you are still a wolf, and that is nothing to be shameful of."He said calmly, his voice unwavering. " 'The Ripper' as you call yourself. The title does not make you any more or any less of the being you are." He finished, looking the male right in the eyes. Suddenly, Impala was there, standing in between the two of them. He looked at the snarling wolf with anumaused, cold eyes. She sounded upset as she called out to the lone wolf that stood before him, warning him of his consequences of crossing the border. He looked at Impala as she spoke, then back to the wolf."You are not who you claimed to be?"He said with narrow eyes, the thing he hated more than anything was a lie. The words that the fmeale had spoken were true, and ones the male had not long ago had also said to the male. His body remained still, tense, and locked, he dare not move, not out of fear, but as a warning to the male infront of him. He was willing to do anything for his pack and Impala, whether it involved violence or not. Quite truthfully, the guard preferred the latter of the two options.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor looked at the female before him, he knew he would see her today- but he didn't think it would be like this. his attention turned to the guard once more. "I am who I am, wolf. Razor- The Ripper, I have not once lied about who I am." He snarled as the guard doubted him. He then looked to Impala, a hint of softness in his eyes as she stood between the two males; her gaze was on him, which made him look away. "I didn't start anything.. " He huffed. "Just minding my own business until he came along." He nodded his head to the guard once more. "I wouldn't have attacked him.." He sneered as he locked gazes with the male guard once more. "I was just letting him know I was here for you, Impala.." Razor let the females name roll of his tongue. This too, wasn't a lie; he was here for the female, he wanted to relax with her on this day, a day he needed company. Though, at this point it seemed as though it wasn't going to happen.

Irritated, Razor's hackles twitched, his tail swishing in annoyance as he turned his back to them both, looking over his shoulder at Impala. "I see now why you choose Kausen and not Freedom." His heart ached, he didn't know what he was saying; his murderous and evil side was itching forward. He began to talk away, toward the boulder he was once preached upon, waiting for the female. "You are spineless, just like him; and the rest of you land wolves." His voice had darkened, as he leapt up onto the boulder, turning his form to face them both- the caring for the female in his eyes, gone; but the hatred toward the guard remained, it drove him at this point.

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala tilted her head as he said he would not have attacked Whitewall. He had looked pretty angry a moment ago... either way, Impala was glad she intervened. She didn't know if Whitewall would be able to fight Razor... he was so big... and Impala herself had seen what he is capable of. She tried to force the thought away. Whitewall was the best fighter she knew... right? She just hoped that they would not fight. Whichever one won, it probably would not matter because both would probably get quite injured. She looked at him as he said he was here for her. She smiled a little. "Oh..." she said. She enjoyed talking to Razor, and learning about the mountains, but with Whitewall standing right there.... she suddenly felt almost criminal for enoying his company so much.
Impala blinked as Razor spoke to her in such a way... and she had thought they were such good friends. She got the feeling that after this meeting, nothing would ever be the same between them. "Razor, don't be like that..." she said, padding a few paces over the border, then stopping as he walked away further. Her tail drooped and she whined quietly. Then he leaped up on the boulder and Impala backed up nervously at the anger and darkness in his gaze. "Razor..." she said uneasily, backing up acceidently into Whitewall. She stopped and looked back at him for a moment, as if to make sure it was just him she had backed into, and then looked back up at where Razor gazed down upon them, her white ears flat against her head. She mad sure that she was still between them. She didn't think Razor would attack her...

:iconhyperesis:
He let out a low growl at the male. How could someone speak to another like that, if he had feelings for Impala, and that they knew each other. Whitewall wished to open his mouth, but hurt was already flying through his body. Not physical or mental pain, but the unique pain of heartbreak. The guard knew he didn't stand a chance against this male when it came to romance, Impala seemed to take a liking to this male, as he saw the way she behaved when he'd said he'd come to see her. Still, he remained silent, words unable to express the guard's emotions. However, something eas changing in the male, his comments wee growing drastically more hurtful a,d the look in his eyes changed. He saw the fear grow in Impala's eyes, and the hatred for him from Razor. He stood slightly infront of Impala, unsure of what this male's intentions were to be. If Razor to leap, Whitewall would be in the direct line of fire, and he knew it. The thing was, the guard wouldn't rather be anywhere else than standing between this male and potentially protecting the female he adored.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor looked down at the both of them, the guard would sacrifice his life to save the female they both cared for; but Razor's mind wasn't there; The Ripper was itching to play! His maw slightly parted, he breath rather heavily through it; his tail raised ever so slightly above his back, his leg straight as he stood tall and proud on the rock; much like a king, lord- an alpha. He growled and his hackles twitched as he suddenly burst out into laughter, smacking his head against the top of the boulder and collapsing for a moment. It was the only way Razor knew how to fight back against himself. Dazed, Razor opened his eyes and looked at Impala, he eyes showed nothing but sadness as he meekly got to his feet and leapt off the boulder- away from them, and began to trot away, back toward the mountains. He wasn't running from the male guard, or the challenge, he was doing everything in his power to keep his demonic side at bay now; and the only way to do that- was to never see the female again; or near the territory of Kausen, it would be best if he just remained in the mountains. Who was he to think she'd be with him? He was a monster. "Monster..." He spoke the word under his breath as he left- his hackles and 'The Ripper' within him itching with joy from the evil word Razor had just used to describe himself.

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala let out a small yelp as Razor slammed his head against the rock. She pushed past Whitewall, staring up at the male, her eyes wide with concen. "Razor!" she cried, but he wasn't listening. He burst out in insane laugher and Impala stared up at him in shock, completely confused. And then he turned and trotted away. Impala watched him go, her amber eyes shining with sadness. Did that mean that they would not be friends anymore? Would she never see him again? She sat down, watching as his form got smaller and smaller as he disappeared into the distance. She let out a whine, hanging her head. What was wrong? Was he angry with her? She had no idea what had just happened.

:iconhyperesis:
His eyes softened when Impala pushed past him, softly, he let her by. The ignition of hope in his heart was gone, he knew who had won, but if it had meant Impala would be happy, he was alright with that.  He watched as she sat on her haunches and let out a whine. It crushed him, to hear her so upset. Slowly he approached her, and whispered softly to her."If you wish to go after him, and you need him, you are free to, if he makes you happy,do not let that slip away from you, my dear." He said, then padded a little ways away, to le his own thoughts wander in his mind. He knew very well that he may lose his chances with Impala at any moment. As much as the female meant to him, her happiness peaked his interests. He set his head down on his paws, closing his icy eyes, holding back the confusion and hurt boiling inside. His eyes were the doorways to his soul, and all he could do was try to calm himself dow.

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala looked at Whitewall as he approached her. His words were... odd. What exactly had the two been speaking about? She thought she might be able to guess... but, especially Razor, had quite an extreme reaction if they were talking about what she thought they were. She let out another whine, now Whitewall was upset soo. She got to her paws and turned to look at him where he lay. She padded over to him and sat down. She had never seen him this upset. "Whitewall... I belong here, in Kausen. But... Razor is my friend. I want to see what's wrong with him... I'll be back soon." She turned and raced after Razor. She could run very fast, and it did not take long for her to get rather close to where the male was trotting away. "Razor!" she called as she approached. "Razor, what's the matter with you?" she said, her voice loud to carry over the wind out on this open prairie before the steppes. She had a feeling she may never get her friend back, but she was willing to give it one more go.

:iconhyperesis:
He looked up as Impala padded to him, sshe was so sad... He looked at her in concern, wondering what was rushing through her head . She had sat down next to him now, he perked his ears and raised his droopy eyes, he listened to what she said, such confliction. He sighed as he watched her go. There was a little relief when she called him her friend, but the male was still weary, she must not know of his feelings to her, similar to how he kept his a secret to her as well. He could only hope that Impala would come back afte a while, bearing good knews, but he knew he must accept the possibility of on pleasant news. He rolled to his side and closed his ees again, another method he had to calm himself, if this would not work, pacing would be the next best option. He laid there and awaitted the females return as his thoughts barrled through his head.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor's head was throbbing, he had knocked it harder against the boulder than he had expected; he tittered as he walked, swaying from side to side occasionally, and stopping a few times to regain his sense of balance. He was bleeding, but not much, it wasn't serious, not as much as his mind set at this point. He licked some of the blood off his maw that had trickled down from his brow. "I have never tasted my own blood before.." he murmured aloud to himself, until he could have sworn he heard someone call his name. His ear twitched, but he still moved forward, his pace not slowing down; but his motions still swaying and tittering from side to side. There it was again, his name; it reached him through the winds. He stopped and turned around, only to see the white she-wolf racing toward him. "What are you doing..." He murmured, not loudly, he didn't except that she could her him, he was more or less thinking aloud. When she reached him, he looked at her- he was confused. "Impala.." He started to say before he went silent, his legs shaking a bit, having trouble holding him up. "Go home wolf." He murmured, looking away from the female. His tail was limp as he then turned away from her, his back on her once more. Why had she followed him? "You don't belong with me, you don't belong in the mountains." He spoke once more before walking onward toward the peaks. He could no longer trot and keep a steady pace with how weak his legs felt at this point, walking was his only option. Razor stopped though, before turning his head around, and gazing at the female once more. "You can't trust me." He stood there for a moment, letting the wind ruffle against his mane- he was serious, as he then turned and continued walking away.

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala's amber eyes were wide, "Oh, you're bleeding!" she said, her voice high with concern. She watched him as he spoke. Wolf? He had never called her that before... it sounded so informal, so distant and cold. "I know I don't belong in the mountains... but I don't understand what the problem is. We both knew I couldn't live in the mountains. So what now, we can't be friends anymore?" she leaned forward as he stumbled forward. He didn't look so good... she was worried he had hurt himself when he hit his head. "What are you talking about? Of course I can trust you... you saved my life." she said quietly, her amber eyes searching his face, but then he turned and continued to walk away.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor stopped once more as she brought back their first encounter and sighed. "I didn't save your life.. I just defeated the challenge before me; your safety was not on my mind- and it is not my concern.." Lies, lies all through his fangs. He hated himself; but what else was he to do? She can't leave the pack for him, the guard would surely come after her, and he can't join the pack because of the guard; and they can't run away with one another either, after all, she already said Kausen was her home. He turned and looked at her again. "If you ever see me again, I will not be friendly, and you will only have so much time to run away.." It was a clear threat, as he growled softly. "Go home wolf!" He barked as he snapped his fangs in the air, his forelegs shaking ever so slightly; his golden eyes showing hatred- though it wasn't hatred toward her, but himself; how was see to know that though?

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala narrowed her eyes in disbelief... after all the nice talks they had... all the memories? And he was going to go ahead and say that he didn't care about her at all? Well, she cared about him. When she had attacked the boar (not that it did much for the fight...) it had been only to save him. "Razor... why?" she whispered as he said she would only have so much time to run away... did that mean he was going to attack her? He was going to try and kill her? She felt her heart twist with the pain of that reality he had given to her. She narrowed her eyes, shining with tears as she looked at Razor, a mix of hurt and betrayal. But the look in his eyes was what gave her the final blow. The hatred that shadowed them... his teeth flashing as they snapped in the air by her soft fur. She flinched. A big wolf snapping like that was enough to get Impala to back off. She backed up, her tail curled between her legs, and her honey-amber eyes gave him one last injured glance before she turned away, taking off at a loping gallope back toward the Kausen border. Her mind was whirling and she shook her head to clear it, trying to stay calm with the gentle wind on her face as she ran.

:iconsparkanine:
Razor watched her run off, it pained him- but it was for her benefit. right? Snorting, he turned around, and began to walk toward the mountains once more; up their sides, near the peaks- and into his maze of a cave he called home. What he didn't know was that once he took his first rest- he wouldn't wake as Razor; he'd wake as The Ripper!

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala saw Whitewall laying on the ground just within the border. She slowed to a slow walk as she approached him, and sat down beside him in a huff, her amber eyes narrowed, still filled with hurt, as they rested on the ground. her ears were flat against her head and she let out another sigh. She looked at Whitewall after a moment, "What did you say to him?" she asked him quietly.

:iconhyperesis:
His eyes opened slowly at Impala's voice and he sat up slightly. His eyes immediatley softened when he saw her appearance, she looked sad and broken. He looked down with guilt, feeling as if this was all his fault. Why did she come running back, if the male had desired her so? He pushed the thought from his mind, and opened his mouth to speak."When he first came into sight, I warned him to stay off of Kausen land, he spoke of no reason to be so close, but I knew there was one. I warned him not to hurt a single wolf on Kausen land, especially you. That was the moment our confrontation became heated. I said nothing to insult the male, at least I dont believe I did. I told him I wanted you to be happy, and that you would choose whatever made you happiest." He said simply, with a small shrug. There was't much else, besides the discussion of their pasts, their names, what the had seen, but nothing of the matter that would affect Impala, or the male's mood. He looked at Impala, somehw, he wished that he hadn't stumbled upon the male, or that he'd acted a bit differently...

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala nodded at him, "Okay... well, maybe he wanted me to live with him... but I can't do that... he knows it." she looked up at her friend. Her best friend. Then she looked away, away from where the mountains poked into her peripheral vision. "I'm... I'm glad you were not hurt, Whitewall." she murmured softly, pushing her muzzle into his thick fur. She let out a deep sigh, breathing in his comfortable scent. She may not have Razor, and that upset her so, but at least she had Whitewall... her relationship with Whitewall was different than the rest. She needed his strong support and unwavering affection. He would never say any of those terrible things to her... he would always be there for her, right? She looked at him, her honey-amber eyes gentle. "You know that you are my best friend, right?" she said, remembering how upset he had sounded when he said she could go with Razor to the mountains. She wanted him to trust her like she trusted him... trust that she would be there for him like she knew he would be there for her. "What will make me happiest is to be wherever you are."

:iconhyperesis:
He nodded slowly, smiling ever the slightest. He was glad she didn't think of leaving, he saw then she had turned her vision away from the mountains, his ears perked up more wth interest. A sensation of tingles and a skipping beat of his heart ran throug his body as she spoke those words, pushing her head into his fur. This made his smile grow."I am glad you are not hurt as well, dear, I couldn't of handled seeing you harmed."He said in return, closing his eyes very briefly, then reopening them. Impala's eyes met his own, hers full of compassion and care. Their color baffled him, and he didn't want to look away. He nodded slowly when she asked her next question."Of course,Pala."He said confidently. Her lat statement widened his icy eyes, and the smile that had played on his face grew bigger. He couldn't believe his won ears, he made Impala happy, happiest at that. His tail wagged at this, and he almost seemed to fluff up in excitement. His tone became honest, full of love and care."I could say the same about you, Impala."He began slowly, looking the female in the eyes."My top priority is too make you happy, and I must do anything possible to keep ou as such, wheverever we are."

:iconwildfire-tama:
Impala smiled gently at him as she got to her paws, her warm amber eyes meeting his icy blue ones, like the summer sun and the winter moon. "Stay with me, then, and you've already done it." she said simply, her fluffy silver and white tail brushing his side. "Let's go home... we should rest... to prepare for our long journey tomorrow." she said, a smile forming on her jaws as she indicated their leaving to Chamlek tomorrow. She remembered him saying not long ago that they could leave whenever she was ready. And she was ready. She would rather nothing else than to get away with Whitewall. Just him and her. Get all this stress and sadness off her mind. She trotted toward camp, once again stopping and waiting for him to walk beside her. That's how she felt most comfortable; with him right beside her.

:iconhyperesis:
His heart fluttered at her words, she had chosen him. He smiled widely at her, soon rising to his feet when she did. "I vowe to never leave you."He spoke mater-of-factly,. His ears perked at her next statement. She wanted to leave tomorrow!!! Tomorrow for his homeland! This brought the male much joy as his tail wagged furiously."I do agree."He said happily, he was more than ready to repay a visit to his former kingdom, reminess in all of the power it once held. He just hoped that the land wasn't crawling with Outpost wolves. He had known these past few days had been rough on both of them, especially Impala, he knew it would be good for the two of them to get away. He smiled at her as she waited for him,the hope and confidence in his heart regained. He padded up to her, brushing his fur with hers, guiding his best friend, and love, back to camp, where a long, well rest awaitted them both.
