:iconwildfire-tama: Impala turned away from where she had watched Suteki slip away from sight. The female was off to her new pack now, to warn them of what she and Impala had discovered. It was Impala's duty to tell Gregor. Only moments before the two she-wolves had prowled through the forest, searching for Suteki's treacherous brother Ulric so they could know if he was in the area, for he wanted to kill Suteki, and now Impala due to her inadvertantly getting into the middle of their twisted relationship. They had found the male alright... but he was not well, infected with the foaming mouth disease.

It was horrifying for poor Impala to see, and the news of his sickness was both good and bad. Good because he would soon die and Impala could roam the forests unafraid once more. Bad because, of course, there was a rabid wolf running around the territory. Now that was dangerous, and that's why she needed to warn Gregor.

She saw the aged male's brown fur and bounded over quickly, her paws still shaking as she recovered from what she had seen. "Alpha Gregor!" she said as she approached, lowering her head and tail respectfully. "Alpha Gregor, I have some grave news." she told the large male.

:iconquailmix: Gregor spun around at the urgent sound of the call that was directed towards him. He watched as Impala bounded towards him with worry in her eyes. That got his heart racing, and he took steps towards her to lessen the gap before she finally got to him.

"What is it? What's happened?" He asked her, the concern very clear on his face as it sported a furrowed brow and worried eyes.

:iconwildfire-tama: Impala dove right in. She did not know Gregor well, but she could guess that he did not like beating around the bush. "Suteki and I were patrolling the territory," she simplified their motive for leaving camp. "and we saw a loner with the foaming mouth disease. He was far from camp, but still within our borders." she reported with a clear and serious voice.

:iconquailmix: Impala was quick with her answer, which he would have been sure to appreciate if what she had said didn't give him a horrible sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. Gregor knew of the disease, and he knew how dangerous it could be. It could kill an entire pack within weeks. "Thank you for telling me," He began rather slowly as the thoughts raced through his head about what to do, "Impala," He began, she was an emissary, she could run, "I need you to warn the guards. Warn everybody you see. I don't want a wolf in this pack who isn't on the alert." He told her.

:iconwildfire-tama: Impala nodded curtly. "Yes, Alpha Gregor." she said. She paused a moment. She knew that she needed to get going... but she had to know more about the disease; she was so afraid. "A wolf with foaming mouth disease can infect another wolf by biting them. Is that the only way the disease can be transferred?" she asked, her voice sounding quite anxious.

:iconquailmix: He could see that the young female was worried, and he gave a slow nod in response. In truth, Gregor didn't have a lot of experience with the disease, but he knew what he had been told. "I believe so. But keep a far birth, they bite unexpectedly." He warned. "Go now, I need you to tell the pack." He urged.

:iconwildfire-tama: Impala nodded, feeling a tinge of anxiety for her packmates. This disease was dangerous she knew, and she just hoped that it was not too late. "I will, Alpha Gregor." she said with a curt nod, then she turned and took off to warn the pack. First she would start at camp and then circle around the territory to all the known parties out in the land.
Quick Summary: Impala delivers the news of the rabid Ulric to her leader and then takes off to tell the others.

Just a quick role play of Impala delivering some important news to her alpha! :)
