Collabs, Art trades and Requests are now open!
<Edit, off topic - If anyone is looking for resources to learn art, I have complied a list of useful youtube tutorials, HERE.>
I put up the stamps noting this in my Deviant ID a couple of weeks ago, but I realised I hadn't made a journal about it until now, so here it is. I am opening Collabs, Art trades and Requests! A note - I would very much prefer art trades and collabs, though I don't mind doing requests if and when I get the time to do them as well. Also, I would only be doing sketches, not full colour pieces, because right now, I don't have much skill with colouring and need to learn it and do practice stuff on that end, before
Production hell and Tears of blood
My experience as lead animator for a short film competition.
I am a final year animation student, and a short while ago, I was involved in the production of a few [very] short animated movies for a competition at my class. It was the hardest, messiest, fastest I have ever worked. Of a total 54 shots, I animated 35, in under a week, with a 72 hour work binge during the weekend during which I slept a total of 3 hours. I was asked [by a few friends and a couple of subreddits] to do a write up of the experience, so I did just that, here!
Future plans and updates
Hi all! Just a quick update and some plans for the future. I have a tumblr now, here - its a blog where I collect art related posts, fan art, submit my own artwork, and occasionally also reblog some stuff about animation shows. If you guys wanna have a look at it and follow if you like it, I'd quite grateful!
There are two things I'm going to start learning soon -
2d animation, and Digital painting.
2d anim because it is super useful to know and has a lot of stuff that can be applied to 3d animation. Also, it can be used for quick pencil tests and such, so rather than go from Storyboard to 3d anim, I can plan out stuff with an animatic/pen
Sorry I've been inactive for a while
There was a lot of personal stuff and study related stuff that took up all my time these past few months. A shoutout to my dear friend and artbuddy Ravenwilder who has been there for me throughout all of it.
Now that things are more stable, I hope to start submitting art more regularly. Also, her comic, Clay is possibly going to be updated soon, so check it out if you like!
Ps. Happy Women's Day, everyone!
