Halini suspects the photo. It could be of anything, but her pride snaps away any further thought. "Give me that phone." She growls, her stomping stride fails to intimidate the sitting man's composure.
Devin takes a sip of his iced latte, and leans back on his chair. "That's the nicest greeting I've gotten all day. Everyone else simply nodded out the door." No games, Halini's hand thrusts open. Silence is not a good answer. Devin expected her anger and disbelief, but not her hostility. Latte blotches bounce onto the table from a single fist fall. Realizing the scene, Halini quickly left, out of sight.
'Everyone must had seen me. But at least the place wasn't packed.' The customers were sparse, and paid little attention until the sudden table slam. 'I shouldn't go on that detour anytime soon.' Halini worries about the picture. Her look wasn't best, nor did she look the way she wants to feel. What's worse she doesn't know if it's really her Devin took a shot of. Horrible. A headache begins. And it's only the afternoon.
Back at the coffee shop, Devin had apologize for the social disrespect, opting to leave, along a bigger tip than usual. He shoves his wallet into his pocket. His other hand holds his phone. Glowing white flashes onto his face as he cycles through the photo gallery.
He smiles. 'At least you said hello to me.'
