Time for another issue of Feature O' Friends! This series is aimed at developing and nurturing community spirit by allowing members to suggest a friend to be featured in the next issue. Those who suggest a friend will also have their art featured as well. :deviation:

How to Feature

Interested? Come on, we'd love to see who you're willing to suggest! But before you do any suggesting, here are some guidelines and steps you should take in order to participate.
  1. First, think of a friend who you think deserves a feature, and write up to 5 sentences why you think your friend should be featured.
  2. Choose two deviations from their gallery and paste the thumb codes of them here. Make sure to delete the last : from the thumb code so that it is easier for us to copy and paste.
  3. Also include the thumb codes of two of your own artworks.
  4. Submit your suggestion as a comment on this journal, and wait for you and your friend to be featured in the next issue. :happybounce:

She just draws REALLY lovely things- I never know what to expect next, but it always ends up being something really nice! Her character designs are top-notch, and she draws incredibly beautiful people and landscapes. Every time a new work goes up, she manages to take my breath away all over again with the skill. She's also a lovely person, when it comes to replying to comments!~ I feel like she deserves more attention.

I'm suggesting Brazzi-Designes because he is an amazing artist with a lot of talent and skills in different areas/forms of art. Literature, photography, mixed media, you name it :D His work has a lot meaning and deep thought in it, the poerty is absolutely stunning and very touching, easy to relate to, describing emotions perfectly. He is also a lovely helping person with a big heart, and tries to bring light to this dark world and help people in need :) And I think he needs a cheer up, because he has been working so hard XD

Her ability is off the charts for someone at such a young age. I thought I was looking at a professional artist, not a hobbyist when I saw her page. She does amazing realistic portraits of Hollywood's finest looking men, with such finesse and detail. The other thing that was really impressive is that she also has great anime fanart. Last, but not least, she sticks to the pencil and paper which really makes her work standout over the new age digital love.

I’m suggesting Mephikal – she’s my very first Internet friends and one of my best friends forever. She has an amazing digital cartoon-like art style, which is very colorful and wacky (in a good way, of course)! Her works are always very uplifting and cheerful! She also does cool traditional art (like still life)! She’s an awesome and funny person and you should check her out if you already didn’t!

She is a great person and is very determined to improve her artwork a ton. Her painting skills are great, as are her drawings. She's always kind to everyone, no matter what. She's an all around great person, and deserves more recognition.

Though I don't write as much anymore and this account is now for digital art, we became friends on the poetry scene when I first joined dA. Her works never cease to inspire me and give me shivers. She has a way with words, somehow enchanting them to slither inside your head and take up residence like a persistently captivating ghost.

UnshackledMy Dear Peter,
There is a masterpiece: internal and wicked, laser-scrawled and syllable-heavy. It surfaces slowly, like pond scum. I often scrape at it industriously, collecting pieces and bits in the spaces between periods and capital letters, on the back of receipts, and on the college-ruled lines of composition notebooks.
Were it set to music we would find it minor-keyed and shocking. Yes. Let's make this happen, if only to say we succeeded in a single thing, together. There is room in my cerebellum for the both of us to grow: crookedly, zigzaggedly. For us each to lean in, your left cheekbone will pin that half of my shrug down. We will no doubt find ourselves swaying in circles as if we were cut out and pasted back onto that overcrowded dance floor. I would hold back motions and words for the first time in my life, letting you lead. Ah, but words are not lyrics when they're left to bleed out on winter's bike paths. I wander worn synaptic trails, wringing my hands and h

I should like to feature my friend Greg. He is a great writer who in his three years on dA has met little success, and for the most part his works have gone on undetected, but he's stayed humble and patient. His latest series, Infinia Legends, is by a long shot one of the continuing stories that I look forward to most on deviantART. Being selfish, I definitely think more activity would mean more deviations, which would mean chapter two! Check him out! :happybounce:

Infinia Legends Act 1                                  Shifting Sands
Walking down the small landing shuttle's boarding ramp, Vanden T'kosh took stock of his new surroundings. It's a quiet place, they'd told him. Lifeless might have been a better word, he thought, staring out across the sea of sand. The wind tore at the surface and the howling was loud enough to startle him at first. “No, it most certainly is not quiet.”, he told himself. The atmosphere was breathable, he knew, but with that kind of wind, you'd have a hard time catching a breath. Fortunately for him, he was wearing his specially made variant of Arkos Shocktrooper gear. Arkos shocktroopers wore brown over yellow armor suits, with bonelike protrusions and an insectile appearance. The literal 'shock value' of deploying a unit of them could affect the opposition psychologically. They were elites, trained to kill methodically and effici
VisionsAs the field of twinkling starlight shines down upon the sea,
As the sky of brilliant crimson slowly fades to black,
As the pearl of purest silver greets the evening skies.
Have you ever stopped and wondered?
Have you ever sat and thought?
Have you ever peered into your soul to clean out all the rot?
Seasons change,
We stay the same,
Continue as we are.
Stagnant water going bad,
Please someone cause a stir.
A plea for all humanity,
To those who yet can clearly see.
Stop the madness,
Stop the war,
Stop the killing,
Enough no more.
One step closer,
Not enough.
Who has the courage,
The iron will,
To cross a minefield,
To not stand still,
To bring us in,
To never yield.
We've made our choice,
We can't turn back,
We fall into eternal black.
As the field of twinkling starlight shines down upon the sea,
As the sky of brilliant crimson slowly fades to black,
As the pearl of purest silver greets the evening skies.
Have you ever stopped and wondered?

RedThe sun setting behind the distant hills on the horizon was red. The book that weighs hundreds of pounds which I carry in my bag is red. The scars covering my body secrete the red-velvet life known as blood.
I hang downside up, with that life rushing to my head, consuming me; killing me. I know that I have not long to live, yet I must not die. The red book in my bag is the reason for my quest, the journey of which there shall be no return, but my quest has not yet been completed. I am not the one who began this, but I am one to finish it. I think he has immense talent. The work is wonderfully original in the composition aspect and of the highest quality in execution. He is a young artist in need of some encouragement and a wider audience for his work. Whilst I am a fan of Surealism, I’m also an admirer of anyone with the creativity to combine original composition with technical skill.
