And here's some very important stuff from my original script. I didn't have time to put into comic form but it's mostly talking anyway:


*Verith lays in bed at the Explorer Guild House*

Verith: *rattles apricorn necklace as a single tear runs down before he wipes it away*

Limina: Here, I found someone to help us read that note left in the book.

Verith: Really? Who is it?

Luke: It’s me. I can’t have you stay up all night worryin’ if we’re going to be buildin’ the outpost tomorrow. Let me see it. Hmm... the book itself is a book about herbal medicines but this note seems special. I'll read that.


Note: Our daughter grows worse each day and the doctors in Andalusst could do nothing. This disease can spread between children, so we had to say goodbye to our son, Verith, and leave him with a friend in another part of the forest. We left this note and his apricorn rattle, in case he ever comes looking for us. With no hope for a cure in Andalusst, we will look elsewhere until Menda is better. If this ever finds Verith, know that your parents love you and hope to reunite with you someday.

Luke: Yep, that’s all it says. Not a very long note. And they didn’t leave us many clues for finding them, either. Still, I’m willing to help when I can spare the time. For now, it's time to hit the hay.

Luke: A good day of honest work. It’s too bad we didn't find anything more to help you with that note while we were buildin’. Maybe we’ll find something once we explore the dungeon. Anyway, if you're still feeling lonely maybe one of these will cheer you up. *hands over a plushie*
