August 10, 2014 Update:  One submission in and I've read some comments and journals that had little hints of work being done!

A little note to me (and all of you) from Magical525 "September issue of Cross stitch crazy has some patriotic animals on pages 34 and 35"  She's still looking out for us!

The most perfect example of pride for your country is found here www.my-cross-stitch-software.c…  This is the most amazing group effort I have ever seen in the wonderful world of cross stitch.  We judges are floored by the incredible work accomplished by this group of stitchers...Hats off to Poland!

Just another idea (we do not recommend you try this for the contest) for you to consider to show your colors!!

As ye may know, July 1st is Canada Day, July 4th is the US Independence Day, July 14th is Bastille Day (La Fete Nationale), August 15th is the Indian Independence Day, August 17th is the Indonesian Independence Day, and September 7th is the Brazilian Independence day. But we don’t want ye to feel left out if ye don’t have a “day” for your nation during this three month sailing, what ye are after is pride for your country!

Show your national pride by stitchin’ up something that relates to your nation, state, county, or province.  It can be your country flag or logo, flower, animal, mascot, historical moment, coat of arms, map…..something that represents your love of where you live!

To help ye with ideas, yer judges have added a few links to show you what is out there and to help get you going. Please note that we are not suggesting you purchase any pattern found on these websites, it is merely there for suggestion/inspiration for your project:

CONTEST BEGINS JULY 1, 2014 AND ENDS ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2014.

Need ideas?  We have places to go, people to see!
