I am the founder of Favarikund & Hunsker-Registry, two small breeds drifting in a heavily-populated sea. Like many small breed owners (those who have a membership of under 100 and experience low activity), I've often found myself frustrated with attempts to grow my groups. We all want these beautiful creations of ours to flourish, but for whatever reason, they aren't.

What I am proposing is a 6-month collaborative event for all of our breeds. This may not bring immediate or lasting popularity (that's not the goal), but what it should become is a coalition of dedicated folk who want to have fun and be creative.

The purpose of this event is two-fold: Firstly, get participation up in our respective groups. Secondly, to reward those who have stuck with our groups.

How the event will work
Each month, there will be a series of 5 prompts. Participants will earn points by completing each of these prompts, as well as any other art (such as show entries, training images, etc.)
+2 for full-body w/ background (prompt art)
+1 for full-body w/ background (any other images)
+.5 for headshots or uncolored

Prompts are not cut off at the end of each month, so if folks are tied up with school or work, they can always catch up.

Prizes
At the end of the event, the points will be totaled and the winners announced. Here's where you breed owners come in.

There will be two sets of prizes: overall 1st-3rd (or more), and individual breed 1st-3rd. I am willing to pony-up 1500 of my own funds for overall prize money. Depending on how many participants we have, the larger the prizes.

Breed owners will present winners of their group with breed-specific prizes. For example, I might give Favarikund or Hunsker winners breeding passes, customs, extra breed points or special geldings. Whatever "perks" your breed has.

So. This is what I've come up with. It's far from perfect; there might even be some large gaps in my logic. But honestly, if we want to keep going, it's a good place to start.

As for what we founders (and maybe admin) are doing while all of this is going on ... perhaps we can spread the love and draw each other's horses during the prompts?
