And let this be a lesson to you. If you set up a trap that your could potentially fall into, then make sure you can escape it.
Also, a true hero takes the most complex path to heroicness as possible (and one with the most collateral damage as well). None the less, I suspect that Green Emote to be in that pit all on his own for quite a while, before he finally gives up and goes through the door (probably to get a bite to eat before he returns to the pit to continue his escape plan).
