:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz padded through the forest. It was quite thick here, casting shadows on the ground and dimming the sun even thought it was midday. Alcatraz then picked up an odd scent... the scent of a pack he had never run into before. He turned slightly and skirted just outside the border. It was difficult to tell exactly where it was due to all the recent rain, but he gave the scent markings a wide margin. He had not had many good run ins with pack wolves, and he would not mind leaving this pack's general area undiscovered. He hoped that this pack was different than most others, though, and actually defended their borders. Lenient packs were his pet peeve, since his own pack had been that way and that is what killed half his family, most of his pack, and his childhood best friend. When his pack did not change their attitude toward outsiders after the incident, He had left that place as soon as he could hunt, unable to handle the burden of knowing it could easily happen again.

:iconxacidiccanine: Ivan had just about finished hunting, and taken down an elk calf. Not so much because he couldn't kill fullgrown elks on his own, he sure could. He had the strength to it, and could take use of his mind if he was really set upon it.

Afterall, the big brute was a hell of a lot smarter than most of the other wolves gave him credit for, and he did have some ideas and some thoughts he'd most likely struggle with on his own.

He was tearing aggressively into the flesh of the calf, before another faint and way too familiar scent fought it's way through the thick smell of blood all around him. It was the scent of a lone wolf, a lone wolf that Ivan had not yet encountered before, and it immediately had him raise his head and perk his ear.

Sniffing at the air, taking in deep breaths, before exhaling. He turned his head towards the scent of the other wolf, and he narrowed his eyes, or well, his good eye at least. There wasn't much of an reaction from his blind eye, and it basically just looked 'tired' as if it had become less functional over the last few weeks.

It gave the brute a somewhat groggy and annoyed look, and made it look like he couldn't quite figure out whether to be calm or not. He bared his teeth in a devious and smug grin before turning all the way around. He was waiting. Waiting for the loner to get within sight, and that'd be when Ivan would take proper actions.

as he waited, he dug his claws into the soft soil beneath him and as the loner finally became visible, he let out a loud growl and ritted his fur. "What do you think you're doing?" He snapped, furiously before walking towards the loner. Ready to lunge at any moment.

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz looked over in surprise as a harsh voice rang through the air. A huge, bulky wolf was making his way toward Alcatraz. He was taller than him, certainly much heavier, and had the well fed look of a pack wolf. Speaking of well fed, he even had the blood of prey dripping down his thick neck fur. Alcatraz stopped and looked at the male, staying calm. If it came to a fight, Alcatraz was ready, but in this case... he may refer to avoid it if he could. This wolf did not look like the type to go easy, and looked even more menacing with that blood on his muzzle. "Excuse me, sir." Alcatraz said formally, "I do not believe I have crossed the border. Am I mistaken?" he asked, breathing in through his nose. He could smell the scent of this new pack, but he was pretty certain the border was still between himself and this huge male. Although he was not quite sure that would stop the dark wolf.

:iconxacidiccanine: Ivan now narrowed both his eyes, as he licked some of the blood off his teeth, before stopping merely an inch from the border, starring down the other wolf. Ivan was bigger and he quickly came to the conclusion that this loner, would be no match for him when and if he decided to attack him.

"You're awfully close though." Ivan snapped, and raised his tail in dominance. Ivan was well known by the loners around the blutwald pack, even if they usually kept miles between themselves and the border.. Ivan was known for his merciless killings and brutal butchering of innocent families, after which he'd start to feast upon.

To most wolves, this large brute appeared intimdating and terrifying, and the fear he often sensed from the wolves around him happy. Excited. "Who exactly are you, and what the hell do you think you're doing here?"

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz shrugged his broad shoulders, although they did not look very broad compared to this huge male that faced him. He was getting pretty uncomfortable right now. Could he beat the male? ...for the first time Alcatraz was not sure. But maybe the big male was slow? Maybe that blind eye would offer Alcatraz some kind of advantage? Either way, the cocky young adult was not one to be afraid. He held his tail at a neutral position behind his legs as he answered in a calm voice, keeping his head a respectful level below the male. He often was one to defy those who accused him of being too close to borders. If they wanted that land just outside their borders, then they should put a border around it too. But when facing this male... Alcatraz was quite unwilling to do so."Alcatraz. I am just passing through. Forgive me, I shall be out of your fur, then."

:iconxacidiccanine: Ivan starred at the other wolf as he answered the questions he was asked. It didn't bother Ivan that he answered, but he also really didn't like this wolf either. Solely because of this wolf being a loner, and in Ivan's eye, far most loners were dirty trash, that should be ridden from this world.

"Too bad you've already been to close." He said before letting out a short, but somewhat insane and maniac like laughter. It took the large brute little to no time, before he lunged at the wolf before him, opening his jaws as wide as he could, ready to land a powerful bite onto the loner, if he didn't reach to get out of the way.

Most wolves that had encountered Ivan and experienced his signature move, the fast strike with a 'killer' blow to follow up to it, had been intimidated by the sheer sound his teeth made when they met as he'd slam his jaws together, which'd make a loud, terrifying 'clank'´, had afterwards taken distance from him and suddenly watched their moves and turned awfully careful, even if they had been confident from the start.

Many wolves before had died between those jaws, thanks to that sheer attack, and that one powerful bite that Ivan had, and many wolves had also learned about his skills when fighting, and how he managed to take down 4 wolves while only getting little to no injuries.

Then again, the size and strength the 'monster' had, was immense, and his hate to everyone that was against him and his father, as well as those intruders, lone wolves, fueled that power.

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz tensed at the maniacal laughter, alarm flashing through his vision as he knew that the wolf was going to attack him. Quick as a whip, the wolf lunged forward, huge jaws gaping and ready to tear flesh. Alcatraz dove to the side quickly, in a panic, adrenaline rushing through his large, dark body (although he didn't look very large next to Ivan).

The sound of those huge teeth as they clamped together made Alcatraz's insides quiver, and he quickly regretted his instinct to counterattack. But it was too late to change because his adrenaline he had already pushed him off the ground, leaping for the big wolf's side and driving his teeth into that thick fur.

:iconxacidiccanine: The wolf was lucky, and had just about avoided that one killer move of Ivan's. The smaller wolf had choosen to return the attack from the right side though, Ivan's blind side, making Ivan loose the vision of the other wolf, until he felt it's fangs at his side.

Immediately the large wolf turned, intending to bite down on the other wolf, to catch either his back or lower back and pull him away. Ivan couldn't allow himself to get hurt, that'd be the same as a loss, which was unacceptable.

Afterall, he was known for his strength and his killings. Even by loners living as far away from Blutwald as possible. "Not bad.." He huffed as he let go of the smaller wolf, to lick his teeth. "Unfortunately, not good enough either!" He then snapped and lunged yet another attack at him, going for whatever part of the smaller male that he could get, be in the muzzle, or an ear, the shoulder, the neck, a leg, something.

He just wanted to see and feel the blood of his opponent, so badly.

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz felt strong jaws on his flank as Ivan dragged him off his back, despite Alcatraz's desperate attempts to hang on. The huge wolf practically threw him away. Alcatraz stood firmly on his four paws with his tail raised and his fur bristling as he faced the wolf again. But the power of the male as he pulled him away frightened the once unshakable Alcatraz. And he decided in that moment that he could either keep his foolish pride and die here, or he could run and live to maybe someday redeem himself.

He chose the latter as Ivan spoke to him, but a moment too late. As he sprang back to flee, Ivan lunged. The huge wolf's powerful jaws snapped down on his upper shoulder. Alcatraz felt physical pain shoot through him in amounts he had never known before. His sand baked yellow eyes flew wide in terror at this new horrifying experience as those massive teeth sank into his pelt, a pelt he once thought nearly untouchable. And then Alcatraz opened his mouth and let out a noise he never even knew he could make. A yelp. And it did not stop there. Panic gripped the dark male as he frantically tried to pull away, yelping and yipping at the intense pain. He had to get away! He craned his neck around in desperation, biting Ivan's ear as hard as he could. Or at least, biting at the stub that was Ivan's ear. He could only pray with all his might that this would make the huge male loosen his grip enough for Alcatraz to pull away and escape.

:iconxacidiccanine: As he caught the other male by his shoulder, he tightened his grip, as much as possible, and started to trash around for a while. He enjoyed the sound of the whimpering and yelping wolf, it was like sweet music to his ear, and he paid little to no mind at all, to the fact that the smalle male was trying his best to bite at the stub of Ivan's right ear.

The ear that had been torn of his face by his own brother when he was younger. Without letting go of Alcatraz, Ivan bared the rest of it teeth in a wicked grin, opening his eyes wide, before doing a throw like motion with his head and then only slightly let go, so he'd still tear fur and maybe an ounce or two of skin of the other male.

The large brute licked his teeth and remained still after that, before he once again started to walk towards Alcatraz. "It was a clever plan to try and flee.. What a shame I am so quick on my feet, huh?" He started. "You should think a little thing like you would be faster than me.. I guess not." He chuckled, as he was still getting closer to the other wolf.

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz could not stand the pain as the wolf whipped him around with unbelievable strength. He flailed his dark legs, trying to score them across the male's face or anywhere. And then in a mighty heave, Ivan threw Alcatraz to the side, keeping a piece of his dark fur with him. Alcatraz lay stunned on the ground, blood pouring from his upper shoulder, pain searing through him. He stared numbly at the he-wolf as he prowled toward him again, Alcatraz's fur still stuck between his teeth.

As quickly as he could, Alcatraz scrambled to his paws and took off as fast as his sore paws could carry him. Alcatraz was just lucky that it was not his leg that had been bitten. It hurt to run for sure... but he needed to do it. He must or else he would die... Surely he was faster than this nasty brute, right? He sure hoped so as he forced his aching body to move at it's full speed in an attempt to preserve his humiliated life.

:iconxacidiccanine: Ivan chased after the loner for a good amount of time, before deciding that his message must've gone through to him, and slowed down. "AND DON'T YOU DARE COME NEAR THESE BORDERS AGAIN, SCUM." He yelled after him, laying down his ear and snorting loudly. "At least not as long as I'm in this pack." He then mumbled. Before turning around to walk back inside the Blutwald territory.

Afterall, the brute had other important things to take care of, things that could have great meaning and impact on his future, as well as possibly the future of many others as well.

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz heard Ivan howl those menacing words after him, but he continued running for a short while before finally slowing down. Now that adrenaline was not coursing through his body he was beginning to feel the full effect of the tear in his shoulder... and the soreness of being throw around and then slammed into the ground. Alcatraz finally stopped by a stream and waded inside, his pale yellow eyes narrowed in defeat and shame. He was horrified at what had just happened... never had he been beaten before! Chased off like a mangy rogue! He dipped down, letting the stream rush over his wound. He winced but bore the pain.

He glanced behind him, toward Blutwald, his expression a mixture of pain, shame, and bitterness. The dark loner had learned a hard lesson today. No matter how tough you think you are, there is always going to be someone tougher. He just hoped there was someone out there tougher than Ivan. And that someone would find the brute and end him.
Quick Summary: Alcatraz is skirting the border to Blutwald and runs into Ivan. The huge male attacks and the two get into a brief scuffle which ends in Alcatraz getting a nasty wound on his upper shoulder before managing to escape, hurt and humiliated

Oh gosh Ivan's scary... but Alcatraz needed this to knock him down a few pegs. No one is invisible and he needed to learn that.
