Comissioned: Di Avalaria Family Portrait, 2065AD

Alrighty! First and foremost, I did not make this image, this picture was made by as a comission I paid for with points. She did a truly excellent job, and all credit should go to her for her work.

And so, this is a portrait of the Imperial Family of the House Di Avalaria, the Royal Family of the United Dragon Realms of Avalar.

To those who don't follow my fanfiction, it likely requires some pointing out as to whose who. The Empress of Avalar is the black dragoness, Ddraigtanto Di Avalaria. Her lover is the green dragon, Alexander Greywater, the Dutch King of the Netherlands.

With them are their children: the red dragoness, Princess Eve Di Avalaria, is the eldest daughter and Fire Guardian of the Warfang Dragon Temple, with her girlfriend Olivia Snowflurry, Apprentice to the Ice Guardian Cyril Abelburben.

The LoS CC Cynder (the smaller black dragoness to those who don't know), may be the second Princess of Avalar, but she's a dragoness of House Di Avalaria in name only, as she is Ddraigtanto's god-daughter, she's with her partner and companion, Spyro the dragon, who is the youngest purple dragon. Her situation is quite unfortunate in political terms: She was set to inherit both Avalar and the neighbouring Empire of Sekeolath; however, an ousted claimant to the Kingdom of Sekeolath presented a stronger claim to the throne than Cynder (whose birthmother usurped the northern kingdom in a Maleforian coup), and so she lost that; that left her as heir to Avalar, until Ddraig became pregnant...

...That then leaves the youngest of the House Di Avalaria: Prince Elwynn. Prince Elwynn is the youngest child of the family so far, with a lot of titles ready to fall into his lap: He is Prince of Avalar, but also heir to the Avalarian Empire, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Barony of Avalaria, with the Barony of Warfang set to be given to Eve, for as a guardian, she may never be queen or empress, but she can hold lesser titles such as baronies.

In my headcanon, this portrait was comissioned by the Royal Family in the 2060s, when Elwynn is around 5 dragonyears old; Ddraig is in her late 30s/early 40s in dragonyears, having ruled for nearly 60 human years (since 2007), and Alexander is in his 50s, Eve and Olivia are in their late teens/early 20s; Cynder and Spyro are around 8/9 dragonyears. It's a pretty nice family group, pretty much everyone can be counted among the Lawful Good branch of the moral compass. This is set more than 60 years in the future, but chances are, give it another 60 years, and the portrait may need to be painted again...

did a really good job on this picture, I can't stress that enough; you should go and give her loads of praise, and faves, and watches, and points, and generally sit patiently until she's ready to take comissions, whereupon I'll probably be somewhere in line to get her to do even more stuff for me to gush over!
