Chapter 10: Kanojo no Shitsuji, Found

''Wake up.'

'My Lady, it's time to wake up.'

You hear a voice begin to get louder as you are awoken from your sleep. You open your eyes quickly, remembering that you were on your way to finding your younger brother.

"Sebastian, where are we?" You sat up from your spot, hoping you didn't waste too much of the day sleeping.

"We just arrived in Nottingham."

"How long were we traveling for?"

"Just as expected, 2 hours."

Sebastian helps you from your seat, leaving the train once it was safe enough to walk. It would take too long by carriage so it was suggested to utilize the convoy. You then left your luggage at a motel, unsure of how long the search for your younger sibling would be.

"I don't even know where to begin." You sigh, sitting on a chair after checking into your room.

"My Lady, if you give me a couple of hours outside, I can find more information about Mr. Dellwin." He begins to prepare you a hot beverage of your choice.

"You can?"

"Do you doubt my abilities?" He smiles as you blush slightly, shaking your head. He leaves after pouring your drink and you think about your next step after your brother is found. Two hours haven't passed yet and Sebastian returns with a few papers in one hand.

"It seems that Mr. Dellwin is quite popular in the area." He lays out a newspaper in front of you.

Dellwin Factory Soon to Expand!

You read the bold letters in the headline then skimming quickly over the rest of the paragraphs.

"Mr. Dellwin owns a factory that produces materials used for vehicles. He sends about over 1,000 crates per day to various places in England, as well as outside of the country. I have already checked his mansion and only the servants are present. So, hime-sama, what shall we do next?"

"Then let's check the factory." You got up quickly, eager to leave your room.

--

You were hidden within the branches of a tall tree not too far from the building. You could see many workers going in and out of the factory, bringing in multiple crates inside.

"I have an idea on how we can get in, but it might not be comfortable for both of us." To eliminate the chances of being caught, you suggested that the two of you hide yourselves in one of the crates. With Sebastian's assistance, the task was done quickly and stealthily.

"Sorry I couldn't come up with a better idea." You whispered to your partner when you knew the other workers weren't around.

"No need for apologies, My Lady. I will follow any order you command."

You gave him a sheepish smile, trying to limit your movement so you wouldn't squish him anymore than you had to. Although the crate would have been spacious for your small frame, it was barely enough for Sebastian's build. The two of you fit inside, but how you had to position yourselves was the key. You were on his lap, your legs and arms wrapped around his body with hi arm over your waist. His other arm was pressed against the ceiling of the crate as a precaution in case it would break due to heavy materials being laid on top of it. So his head wasn't constantly rubbing against the ceiling, he planted his chin in the crook of your neck.

'I have other things to worry about! This is all for finding Ryuuji-kun!' You kept reminding yourself, trying to drive away the embarrassment.

"Ojou-sama, are you all right? Your skin is beginning to feel warmer than usual."

"H-h-hai, I'm fine." You were so grateful for it being dark.

"Are you certain? I hope you are not developing a fever. I am positive your body temperature is rising." You feel his cheek and the side of his lips against your flesh.

"Y-y-yes, I'm very certain that I'm fine. I'm just...nervous and anxious about getting my little brother back, that is all."

"Hmmm. I see." Sebastian chuckles, finding it amusing how a simple touch could get you so flustered. The two of you ceased your conversation when the box began to move from the loading carriage and into the factory.

"This box is so damn heavy!" One of the loaders complained, struggling to hold the case.

"Just hold out for a little longer. We're almost to the storage room." His partner is using his entire strength to not let the crate go. Once in their designated area, their fingers gave out, quickly and carelessly discarding you and Sebastian on the floor. You held your voice from expressing the pain you felt from the sudden drop, mentally cursing at their roughness.

"My back is gonna be hurting for a week!"

"We'll be fine. Have your wife massage it or something. We still have the rest of the day to go so don't think about it." Their voices fade and suddenly disappear after the sound of the loud bang of the door shutting. Sebastian quickly pounds his arm  against the ceiling, breaking the barrier and stepping out of your container. You untangle yourself from your butler, Sebastian carefully helping you on your feet. You stretch your limbs and back before glancing to the door on your right. You notice two entry ways, one door made from simple wood and the other with a more sturdy and secure material. You guessed the door with more security was the one that led to the outside and the other for inside the main factory area.

"I'm going to look for Ryuuji-kun. I need you to destroy this place after I retrieve him, but don't kill anyone, okay?"

"Yes, My Lady." He bows lowly, waiting in the shadows while you prepare to leave the storage room. You were already dressed as a factory worker, hair ruffled in every direction, and face spotted with black and dirt. You exit the room quietly, trying to hide your presence and mesh with the other employees. You then held a quiet gasp from eluding your lips, recognizing that almost half of the workers were from your village.

Suddenly, your lack of work alerted one of the higher ranking staff members, a middle aged man grabbing your arm and scolding you for not being at your assigned station. You let him drag you to where you were suppose to be while scanning the faces from your town to pinpoint your little brother.

"You little shit! Who told you to take a break?" Another of the high ranks screamed, whipping at the ground. Although you were too far to see what he was aiming for, you knew it was a person. You see those nearest to the scene continued with their duties, their conflicted facial expressions indicating that they were forcing themselves to ignore the situation. However, you stopped moving when you hear a voice speaking in your language.

"I don't know what the hell you're saying, boy, but you better get your ass back up and work!"

The voice sounded unfamiliar to you with the machinery drowning it out, but your heart seemed to be reaching towards the victim. You kicked the man who had a grip on your arm, running to where the one-sided fight was taking place. You see a boy, glaring harshly at the man whose foot made contact with his face.

"Ryuu!" Although his hair has grown and he looked a little bit older, you could clearly distinguish this boy to be your younger sibling. You dropped to your knees when close enough, holding him close to your chest to shield him from anymore harm.

"Another uncompliant person? I will not tolerate this!" He lifts up his whip, about to bring it down, but a loud explosion from behind disturbs his balance. You could feel the heat rise immensely in the building and shake from the bang, causing everyone to evacuate the disintegrating factory.

"W-what's going on?" Cries Ryuuji.

"Don't worry! We're getting out of here!"

"It is time to leave, My Lady." Sebastian sweeps down from the burning section of the room, lifting you both in his arms. You silently apologized to the rest of your people who you had to leave behind, but it would only be temporary. Your brother came first. Besides, there was a reason why you had Sebastian destroy the factory.

The three of you stopped in a secluded area in town, Ryuuji lifting his head from your chest when everything stopped moving. His __(e/c) eyes widened at the two strangers, pushing himself away from the female.

"W-who are you!?"

"It's me, Ryuuji-kun. Your onee-san. __(y/n)-onee-san." You were surprised by his memory change, but it was to be expected after so many years of not seeing one another.

"No...no. That can't be. Everyone...everyone's gone!"

"No, you're wrong. It really is me." You tried to wipe the dirt from your face and fix your hair to make yourself a little more recognizable.

"No! You can't be her! H-how is that possible? T-they took everyone away!" He stands up suddenly, frantically scanning his surroundings.

"The factory! The fire! Everyone is still there! I have to help them!" Ryuuji begins to lose his footing, swaying slightly. He continues to voice his worry even when his body is giving into exhaustion.

"Ryuu-kun!" You watch his body collapse, about to extend your arms to receive him, but Sebastian catches him first.

"W-we have to bring him to the hospital!"

Sebastian nodded at your command, but first took care of your peasant attire. He snapped his fingers, shadows eating away your current disguise and leaving you to your more appropriate clothing once they disappeared. You didn't want anyone to know about your presence in the factory. It would raise too many unnecessary questions. Since Ryuuji seemed a bit unstable, you felt like you didn't have to worry about him asking how you infiltrated the factory.

"Fire! The factory exploded! Call the fire department! Help!" You hear someone shout and you can see a flood of factory workers running to town while you rush to the nearest hospital.

--

Ryuuji hears a mixture of voices when his mind is released from its unconscious state. His body feels heavy and achy, the only movement he can make is in his neck. He finds a window on one side, the other, a small group of people. The small groan he emits makes you aware of his awakened state, excusing yourself from Nottingham's Chief police. Sebastian takes over the questioning as you take your brother's hand.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" you asked gently.

"Who...?"

"It's __(y/n)-onee-san." You dug underneath your top to reveal the necklace that the entire __(l/n) family had as proof of their royalty.

"Onee-san?" He stared at the necklace and then at you, having a hard time absorbing the fact that his freedom has returned as well as being reunited with one of his siblings.

"Hello, son, my name is Henry, the chief police of this town. I heard from your sister that she found you running into town after an explosion. Would you mind telling me what happened at the factory?" [1]

"I don't remember running here." Ryuuji frowns. "I remember being in the factory and getting whipped when I stopped working after I felt tired. Then someone protected me from getting whipped some more, but before I could see who it was, something exploded behind me. I got out of there, but I...I can't remember how..."

"Your sister said you were exhausted and scared before you fainted. After everything you went through, it's not uncommon for your memory to be hazy." Henry continues with his next question. "Do you remember what happened after you came here?"

All the police forces throughout England knew of your tragic story and how the Queen strongly desired that this incident be fixed. Ryuuji answered every question Henry delivered, the man writing every detail in his notepad.

"My boy, you have been through so much. We're going to make Mr. Dellwin pay for what he's done. Now let's see about getting you home with your sister." Henry bows his head to the two of you before speaking with Ryuuji's doctor and nurse. They did one more physical assessment before concluded that it would better his condition if he was with you. Ryuuji was constantly worried about the other villagers from the factory, but you assured him that they will be taken care of by the law enforcements. You had the word of the Queen that everyone will be brought home safely. Throughout the ride back home, Ryuuji kept to himself and even though it worried you, you didn't push for him to speak.

From the moment you arrived at the mansion up until the morning the next day, he has not said one word to either you or Sebastian. You didn't understand! Was he still afraid of Dellwin? Still worried about the other villagers in the factory? What was it that bothered him? Not even Sebastian could give you an answer.

"Ryuu-kun, we can go into town today if you'd like? We'll spend the day together doing whatever you like. How does that sound?" you told him during breakfast. Today you had to change your plans of finding your other brother in Ipswich. You had planned to let Ryuu stay with Ciel, but you couldn't leave your little brother in this condition.

"So this was your life?" Ryuuji finally said after a brief pause. Sebastian and you looked at the young prince, waiting for him to continue.

"While we were suffering, you've been living in this fancy mansion, eating all this good food, and spending money on anything you wanted? You have enough money to get whatever you want! You even have a personal butler! But you couldn't use it to save us? All these years you only started to look for us now?! Did you forget about us? Was that it? I'm going to look for everyone else! I don't want to stay here!" Ryuuji stood up suddenly, the force pushing his chair back a few inches. With enough space, he ran quickly to the front door, refusing to listen to your pleas of stopping.

"Ryuu! Wait! Don't go! I never stopped thinking about you guys! Let me explain...Ryuu!" You went to chase after him, but lost him after he ran down the path that led to the main town.

"Please wait here. I'll go retrieve him." You hear Sebastian say.

"No, I'll find him. You have another duty, remember?" You were expecting to take Ryuuji out into town while Sebastian searched for your older brother. "Go find Hiroshi-onii-san. I know he won't believe and follow you back here, but show him this."

You gave him your small medallion to hold momentarily.

"And what do you wish for me to do when I find Norgales?" He remembers Bowen giving out the names of your brothers' captors.

"Keep him alive for now. Rescue my brother first and we'll deal with Norgales later."

"Understood."

The two of went separate routes, but Sebastian stayed hidden as he watched you dash into town. He wasn't going against your order, he would fulfill it, but he wanted to make sure his master would not have a difficult time finding your sibling. He didn't want any accidents while you would briefly be away from his sight.

He stood on a roof of a house, red eyes following a certain __(h/c) haired woman. People were staring at you strangely and tried to avoid you as much as possible. You didn't ask for help, not wanting people to know that the third prince of the __(l/n) family was missing. If that kind of information leaked out, it would subject him to another kidnapping.

"I knew it." Sebastian lets out a sigh as he sees you become stopped by a small group of men. One of them had their hand on your wrist, trying to coax you to stay with them. You glared, jabbing your elbow at his face and running as quickly as possible when you were granted the chance.

"Get her!" One of them yelled and that encouraged you to run faster.

"That will not do. I won't have you interrupt my process of formulating the perfect meal." Sebastian says quietly to himself, eyes glowing as he stares at the gang of lewd males. He holds up one finger, swinging it to the left as he hears them fall to their knees and cry in pain. He turns his head in the opposite direction of you before jumping off the roof and onto another.

--

Ryuuji hides himself in a dark alleyway, knees to chest as he hugs his legs closely. He feels a blend of different emotions, all having a negative effect on him. He was confused, angry, and lost. What was he doing? He lifts his head up when he sees two pairs of feet, eyes following from their feet to their faces.

They spoke to one another in a language unknown to him, but from their mischievous smirks and glances, he knew their intentions were ill. Before he could get up and run, they caught him by the back of his shirt, a hand being placed over his mouth to muffle his screams. They revealed a knife to his neck, still talking to him in their own tongue. He didn't understand, but he knew any mistake he made could be fatal.

'Help!' He mentally screamed and closed his eyes, not wanting to see the weapon so close to his face anymore.

"Gah!"

"Uwah!"

The one holding Ryuuji releases his hold as well as the knife. He turns around to find a tall man dressed in back, dusting off his sleeves and shoulders. The two kidnappers were laying on the floor, their breathing being their only movement. The man in black steps closer to Ryuuji, the boy frightened yet curious of the stranger.

'If that guy knocked out those two men, then he must be good, right? No...what if he's after me, too?' Before Ryuuji pivots his body to escape, he hears his name being called,

"Master Ryuuji, are you all right?"

When the man is now bathed in light, he recognizes the figure as his sister's servant.

"Shitsuji-san!"

Sebastian nods before resting on one knee to be at his height level, "Do you have any injuries, Master Ryuuji?"

"No, I'm fine. Thanks. How did you find me?"

"I was just passing by. Now, let's get you back home. Princess __(y/n) is quite worried about you."

"I don't want to go back there! I'm going to find the rest of my brothers and sisters! Why does she care now? She has everything she wants. A mansion, a butler, good food, clothes, and money! How come she's only trying to find us now? I have been waiting and waiting! Why is she so late?" Ryuuji voices his feelings towards the black butler, allowing his turmoil to drip from his eyes.

"You are misunderstanding something, Master Ryuuji. Princess __(y/n) was recently granted all this fortune."

"What do you mean?"

"Before I found Princess __(y/n), she was held captive by a man named Randolf Bowen. For four years she has been held prisoner in his mansion. A few weeks ago, I went to their mansion to inquire about an open butler position. That was when I found your sister brutally beaten and unconscious. I took her to the hospital and that was when the Yard became involved and when I learned everything about her background. The Queen had heard the news and appointed everything that Mr. Bowen owned to her and since then, the two of us have been searching diligently for you and the rest of your family and people."

"She...she was hurt, too?"

"Yes, for four years is what she told me."

"Is that man dead?"

"No, he is in jail."

"After all the scary things that happened to my sister, why did you still want to serve her? Is it because she has money now?"

"Whether she was poor or rich, there is something about Princess __(y/n) that I simply cannot let go." His eyes close and his lips curve into a sly smile.

"What does that mean?" He tilts his head to the side at his answer. "Do you like her?"

"You must go find your sister. She's in town looking for you. You two should return home before our important guest arrives."

"Huh? Who?"

"Please follow me, Master Ryuuji. I'll lead you to where Princess __(y/n) is." He leaves his question unanswered, marching along the sidewalk.

"W-wait!" Ryuuji moves from his spot, pushing his way through a busy crowd as his eyes were glued to a tall black haired demon.

"Shitsuji-san! Wait for me!" He was forced to look away when a person bumped into his small body. He calls to Sebastian again, glancing up, but this time, finds him gone. "Shitsuji-san! Where did you go?"

When the people decease around him, he finds himself at an intersection, but still no signs of Sebastian. When he is about to call for him again, he hears his name,

"Ryuuji-kun! Ryuu! Where are you? Ryuu!"

"Onee-san!" He gasps, seeing you across from him. "Onee-san! I'm here!" He waves at you and when the roads were clear, you met in the middle.

"Ryuu-kun! I..you were right. You were right that I should've looked for you much earlier and I-"

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry for yelling like that! I didn't mean it! Shitsuji-san told me everything. I'm sorry, onee-san...I wasn't thinking!"

"Sebastian told you everything?"

"Hai...about Bowen and how you were trapped in his mansion for four years and he hurt you a lot!" Your top began to dampen from Ryuuji's apologetic sobs, but you didn't mind. You kissed the top of his head, holding him close as you rubbed his back.

"Hey, it's okay. I don't care about that anymore. I care about you guys. Let's go home now, ne?"

--

It took a while to return home since you were walking and not running like before. You both weren't in a rush anyway. The walk gave you and Ryuuji time to talk. Before you opened the door to the mansion, it had opened from the inside and you were greeted with your one and only butler.

"Okaeri nasai, hime-sama, ouji-sama."

"Y-you're back! Does that mean you found-"

"I have prepared some afternoon tea and snacks for you and Prince Ryuuji in the sun room."

"Where did you go before? Why didn't come home with us?" Ryuuji remembers having lost him before finding you.

"I had to run a few errands." He leads the two of you into a section of the house that provided a view of nature's beauty which Sebastian worked very hard in cultivating. The glass encased room not only allowed you to glimpse outside, but also acted as a shelter from uncomfortable weather conditions. He pours you and your little brother tea, describing its name and ingredients. He presents a tall tray of a variety of food, placing it in the center of the small table.

"Please excuse me. I shall return shortly. I still have a few things to prepare for later."

"Prepare for what?" You looked his way after you took a sip of your beverage but found him gone. You let out a sigh and wondered what kind of news he brought back. A few minutes later, you and Ryuuji hear a knock from the foyer, getting up to see who wanted access inside. Sebastian was the first to the door, opening it for you to see Fred and Randall. Your stomach began to ache and your chest tightened at their presence, thinking their visit meant something ominous.

"Yes? May we help you?"

"I believe there are two people who you'll be very glad to see." Fred stretches his lips wide as he moves away from your direct line of vision. On the clear path before you, you see two people, one male who looked a few years older than you and a four year old girl, held securely in the arms of the man.

"__(y/n)-chan. Ryuu-kun." The boy whispers loudly and your eyes widen, realizing who he was underneath his bedraggled appearance.

"Onii-san!" You pushed your body towards him, arms encasing him tightly when the distance no longer existed. Ryuuji followed your action, the three siblings crying against one another from the surge of emotions passing through them. Fred and Randall dismissed themselves, having completed part of their task.

"Is this...?" You stared at the youngest child after pulling away from your older brother.

"Hai it is. It's Junko-chan."

"She got so big!" Ryuuji recalls Junko being only a month old when the kidnapping started.

"Junko-chan, this is __(y/n)-onee-san and Ryuuji-onii-san. Remember I told you about them?"

"Onee-san?" She blinks before reaching her arms out towards you. You smiled, holding her for the first time in years.

"What about Rihito?" Junko had a twin brother and they were the youngest out of the eight of you. [2]

"He didn't make it. He died a few weeks after coming here. Norgales told me they both became sick and had Junko-chan stay with me so that I could take care of her. I never knew the name of the bastard who originally had Junko and Rihito, but I'm not going to give up. I'm going to find who is responsible for the invasion and kill him so that he can never hurt our family again."

"Onii-san..." you frown, not wanting him to give into darkness. That's why you made a contract with Sebastian, so that you would be the one to protect them and prevent their souls from blackening.

"How did you get here anyway?"

"Your butler found me." He nodded towards Sebastian who was standing by the door.

"I thought you had to do some errands?" Ryuuji raised a brow at the red eyed man.

"I did. I was also entrusted the task of finding Master Hiroshi. Through my research, I heard that Mr. Norgales was invovled with the attack of your village and resided in Ipswich. When I went there, I found that Master Hiroshi was no longer in Ipswich. Instead, he had moved to the town of Oxford."

"I escaped with Junko a few days ago. I overheard Norgales and his men talking about separating me and Junko and I couldn't let that happen. While we were escaping, I had shot Norgales in the process. I'm not sure if hes still alive or not, but I kept running. I hid in Oxford and tried to seclude myself as much as possible. I didn't know who to trust or who to go to. And then your butler showed up. He told me you were safe and where you were. He also gave me instructions on what to do when I got here."

'My name is Sebastian Michaelis, the current butler of your sister, Princess __(y/n). I was told to come and find you. Your sister is alive and well along with Prince Ryuuji. You will be reunited with them so as long as you follow my instructions. You  will take the next train from here to London. I will provide you with the fare money. When you arrive in London, look for Mr. Aberline and Lord Randall of the Scotland Yard. You can tell them everything that has happened and from there, they will lead to you the mansion. However, please refrain from telling them of our little meeting. It will only complicate and cause problems for your sister. I understand you want answers, but trust in my master.'

Had he not met this man, he would have never been able to be with you and Ryuuji again. But how did he get to London before him and Junko? And from Ryuuji's question before, it seems that Sebastian had other duties to complete.

"Man, just what are you, Sebastian-san?" Hiroshi asks.

"I am simply one hell of a butler." Sebastian chuckles, resting a hand over his chest before bowing.

--

For the rest of the week the four of you exchanged your stories of the years you were separated. You had time to mourn for Kanako and Rihito as well as make new memories with your three siblings. However, you had to temporarily stop the bonding time.

"You have to go back home, Onii-san." you said during breakfast.

"Huh?"

"The three of you need to go back to Japan and let everyone know that we're still alive."

"Why can't all of us go back? I'm not leaving you here alone."

"I'm not alone, I have Sebastian. I have to stay here to find everyone else."

"I'll be the one to stay."

"No, you can't. It's you that has to go. We don't know if Ojii-san or Otou-san are even alive. If something had happened to them, you're next in line as the new Emperor and you're the only one who can lead and protect the dynasty."

"Then, I'll stay with you!" Ryuuji interjects.

"You have to help Onii-san take care of Junko-chan. I promise, I'll go back as soon as possible."

Everyone disagreed and was upset with your proposal, but when you explained it, it was important to let your grandfather know that you were still alive. It hurt that the four of you were going to be disconnected again, but you kept reminding them that it was only temporary. You had Sebastian make arrangements to meet with the Queen so that she could coordinate the transportation as well as security guards. And before the beginning of next week, they were on their way home.

It had been one hell of a month when you thought back on the recent events that occurred. However, you weren't complaining. You felt like you accomplished a lot. You were seated on the small steps of the cemented patio, glancing at the garden before up at the black painted sky stippled with numerous white dots.

"Ah, there you are, My Lady. I thought you retired for the night?" You didn't need to look back to know who it was.

"I wanted to stay up a little bit more."

"Then please wear this. The temperature has dropped slightly." Sebastian pulls out a black, soft sheet from his vest, applying the material over your shoulders. You blink a twice at the feel of the smooth blanket, but accepted it happily, holding it close to you.

"Sit next to me."

"Ojou-sama, for a servant to be sitting-"

"That's an order." You smiled up at him, moving to the side slightly to indicate that the spot beside you was free to take. "Besides, didn't I tell you that you're more than my butler? You don't have to be so formal with me."

"Yes, I do remember." He occupies the space you gave him. "I apologize, Ojou-sama. It's a bit of a habit of mine."

"You don't have to be sorry. Is the habit from your previous masters?"

"Yes, it is."

"I see." A cold wind strokes your face and neck, causing you to hold onto the blanket tighter. You glanced up at the man beside you and wondered if Sebastian felt cold or if demons were even sensitive to adverse weather conditions? You figured you'd be polite and drape a portion of the comforter over his shoulders. You pull the ends together in front of the two of you, holding the extra pieces securely.

"My Lady, you should be the only one using this. Demons don't usually get affected by temperature changes."

"Are you really going to make my kind gesture go to waste?" You pouted at him.

"No, I won't. My apologies, hime-sama." He chuckled, taking the ends of the sheet from you so that he would be the one to hold them. "For you to be thinking of an unworthy servant, such as myself, I am truly grateful."

You mentally sighed at his self perspective, but you knew his mannerisms were due to his previous contracts. As you continued to stare before you, you rested your cheek against his arm.

"What were your other masters like?"

"They weren't any different from one another. At times it felt as if I was serving only one master. They were arrogant, parsimonious, strict, and very demanding." He said objectively.

"What was it like being their butler? Did they treat you nicely at least?"

You listened to his past masters' treatments and you stared with wide eyes at his experience. They were no different than how Bowen treated you. They demanded everything to be done quickly and precisely. They threw food at him if it dissatisfied them. They even physically hurt him if they felt Sebastian displayed any act of insubordination. You observed his straight face during his explanation and your heart begins to swell. Your thoughts revert to those dark moments as a prisoner and compared it with Sebastian's encounters.

The frustration, the humiliation, and the anxiety, you remembered it all and thinking of him going through that caused your vision to become blurry.

"My Lady, have I said something to upset you?" Sebastian was not expecting this particular reaction from his master.

"No, you haven't. I'm glad you told me, but I'm sorry that happened to you. People can be so cruel. How can they do that to another being?" You sniffled quietly, empathizing with him. You understood the pain, although Sebastian didn't feel it as much as you did.

"It is human nature."

"Not everyone acts like that."

"Is that so?." He said through a small smile, but didn't believe in anything good from humans. They were only good at suppressing his hunger.

"I would never do that to you. Ever." You whispered softly, burying your face in his arm as you wrapped your arms around his.

"I greatly appreciate it, My Lady." Sebastian's words didn't sound as if he was convinced, but you would prove him wrong. When you began to nod off, Sebastian took that as a signal for retirement. He managed to keep the blanket over you while he lifted you in his arms. He brought you to your room, carefully laying you on the soft and inviting mattress. Your body accepted the warmth and comfort as you unconsciously hugged the nearest pillow. Sebastian pulls the blanket up to your shoulders and stares momentarily. He recalls of your promise to never do harm to him and chuckles lowly.

'What a silly thought. A human causing physical or emotional damage a demon? You are one hell of a strange human, My Lady.
