Personality Ryuho is a bit on the brash, abrasive side which makes him rather difficult to deal with at times if you're not used to the way he works. He also has a tendency to be selfish and possessive when it comes to people and things he's fond of. With all of those negatives he seems almost impossible to get to know, but he at least does have manners and a code of honor he follows. He gives respect to those he feels deserve it, though the moment he's disrespected he's prone to becoming vicious.

History
Ryuho never really got a chance to know who his biological parents were. When he was just a baby he was left in the care of his aunt and uncle after, apparently, his parents decided that they could not care and provide for him in the ways that he needed. They subsequently dropped off the grid some time after that, the only way of communication between them being yearly letters about where they were and what they were doing. Apparently they were a rather adventurous couple that did not enjoy staying in one place for too long. It was explained to him later that they simply didn't want him to grow up with no sense of stability.

His uncle was his mother's brother, and they were from a rather prestigious family that resided in Lumiose city. He had no issue whatsoever when his sister approached him about raising Ryuho considering for years he and his wife had been trying to have a child but had been unable to do so. That being said, since Ryuho was technically an only child and his adoptive parents had never raised a child before, he ended up rather spoiled with some questionable values much to his parents' dismay. He was, however, instructed and groomed to be a "proper gentlemen" as his uncle put it.  

As far as friends went, Ryuho didn't exactly have any. Every relationship he had ever entered was a result of furthering some goal of his. At one point he even dated a young Zangoose in order to get closer to her father who owned a large stake in a technology firm. After he made the connection with her father and closed a deal between both of their parents he dumped her. He believed that if a person was not useful to him, they were a hindrance and were to be ignored. His uncle and aunt pleaded with him many times to try and change his outlook, but nothing particularly worked.

Though he proved himself to be very competent when it came to business and networking with powerful individuals, his parents decided to send him to Armonia Institute because they feared what he may become in the future if he continued on the path that he was on. They wanted him to make friends, perhaps find love, and realize that other people weren't simply tools just to be cast aside when they were no longer useful.
