Training and Play Style: Training himself with a libero's training regime until the end of middle school, his speed is his most proficient trait. However, due to his growing height, he is practicing for front row positions for the obvious advantage instead. (He tried practicing libero moves with his new height and knocked everyone off their feet, so, he was scolded to stop horizontally jumping across the court.) He has a quick reaction rate, but his body is still learning to adjust itself accordingly; his game sense still has room to improve. Thus, even if he makes it in time to the ball, he sometimes doesn't think quick enough for him to follow through. Overall, Jirou is a studious, detail-oriented player who tries to follow it by the books. However, he realizes his passion takes over the technicality of his training and is unsure if that is a good or bad thing at the moment. He hopes that over time, his training will allow his body to react naturally. 

• Excellent speed. Average power, game sense and technique. Has below-average jumping ability. 
• Excellent at receiving/passing, formally knowing how to dig but can no longer with his new height unless specific training is started. Above average spikes/attacks and blocks. Average serves. Below-average sets.
• His current training regime focuses on power and strength building. However, he still steadily trains his jump, stamina, speed and volleyball skills. He also self studies and watches old matches as a part of his training.
• Currently focusing his training on improving the success rate of his spikes via a power/strength and technique oriented regime.

♥ Hardworking. Devoted.
Jirou trains himself diligently for volleyball and studies meticulously for school even though he doesn't get very good grades. But if things doesn't seem to go his way, he always strives to at least be a bit better than he was the day before. What pushes him to continue is his admiration for his older brother and the desire to be the light in his little sister's eyes. He's the type to believe that everyone works hard though, which keeps him modest. Contrastly, he may be quite harsh with himself at times without realizing so because of his devoted nature. Moreover, he has a weekly schedule in which he tries to follow the best he could to maximize his time.

✖ Gullible. Stubborn.
It isn't known for sure if it's because he's absolutely trusting or a complete idiot, but Jirou is childishly gullible at times. He often gets tricked or scammed by people without realizing. Luckily, nothing major has happened to him thus far. But many people question whether his naivety is genuine as others assume it is how the boy stays humorous. Regardless, Jirou finds any odd fact amazing and is very easily impressed. He has a "running-gag" with Kei in which Jirou wholeheartedly believes his best friend when he says that Jirou has another three years in high school to grow shorter. (I did say he might be a complete idiot--) Jirou can be immature and may accidentally provoke the wrong people. He also dislikes giving up and is quite obstinate when he has made his mind. Some call this "stubbornness", but he likes to think of it as "persistent with a resolution".

♥ Open-minded. Affectionate.
Being a middle child, Jirou doesn't find it difficult to get along with different age groups. He would happily join in on his brother's conversation with his university peers or play dolls with his little sister and her friends. He has no bias or fronts when he is interacting between different crowds. Jirou is also friendly and affectionate. He is the type to constantly tell his friends and family that he loves them. Via sportsmanship, he really likes to show support with hugs or a hearty pat on the back. If you're a friend, he would have no restraint with leaning on you, picking you up or passing out on your lap regardless of gender. 

✖ Juvenile. Somewhat lewd.
Jirou is still quite young and can very much act his age as a hormonal teenager. At times he speaks before he thinks and says the most ridiculous things that definitely deserve a slap on the face or a facepalm from his creator. He thinks dirty jokes and innuendos are amusing and often tries to plug in a "that's what she said!" line. And if moments arise, he isn't one to shy away from them due to his curiosity. Jirou has a love-hate relationship with his constant argument with Kei about butts versus boobs, but has as much fun discussing the joys of the models in magazines. 


Likes:
♥ Jogging. With his music or the "talking cellphone" aka his best friend, Kei.
♥ Butts. May or may not be a giant "closet" perv.
♥ Strawberry cake ♌. Baked, mousse, or ice cream cake! As long as it has strawberries in it!
♥ Lazing around and catching up to Kei's blogs. After hard work of course!
♥ Cockroaches, mice, cicadas and the likes. Anything small and moves quickly kind of inspires him.

Dislikes:
✖ Growing pains. Still adjusting to his height and is often sore or stumbling on his own feet.
✖ Big dogs. Used to be jumped by friendly animals when he was short, so it's just a imprinted fear since then.
✖ Natural medicine. Living in the countryside, he's had terrifying concoctions in the past.
✖ Bad sportsmanship. Doesn't like foul players or people who refuse the shake hands. Rude.
✖ People making fun of his accent. Quite proud of it.

★ TL;DR: Raised in the countryside with a loving family. Got into volleyball after being inspired by liberos. Moved to the city and met his best friend via middle school volleyball. Had a falling out with the sport. His excitement for the game resurfaced after his growth spurt. Decided to enroll into Daiki Gakuen with his best friend to further push themselves.

★ His childhood and upbringing.
Jirou grew up in the countryside in a small, rural town that sold fresh fruit and sweet confectioneries as their staple. His mother owned a rather popular bakery and his father was a stay-at-home dad. He was raised with lots of love and a positive family influence. They were the type of family who did not hide anything from one another, encouraged each other, and learned from their mistakes without reproach. His parents supported their children with making their own decisions and thus, letting him and his older brother, Junpei, out with his friends to play without adult supervision. Baby Juri was taken care of by Papa-Yoshi. And true to his bumpkinness, Jirou enjoyed catching cicadas and wild field mice as a past time.

★ How he started volleyball.
Jirou was always a small child, but his loud voice and bright smile often made up for it. His brother always said he had the loudest cheer that encouraged him when he was playing basketball. Jirou didn't want to be the loudest bystander though, he wanted to be cool like his older brother and play a sport. However, he was often discouraged due to his short stature. He couldn't dunk a basketball like Junpei, and his legs were too short to kick a soccer ball. Sure he was fast and could run in track and field, but he liked how his older brother had friends to depend on in a team setting; he didn't like playing by himself. Junpei soon noticed his little brother's woes and decided to take him to a different game in which his town didn't have a team for. Thus, his older brother decided to take him to the city one day, an awe in itself for the 10-year-old Jirou... But seeing a high school volleyball match was boring. There were just more tall people in the sport blocking and spiking balls. Moreover, he didn't even know who to cheer for since his brother wasn't the one playing; he couldn't even used his most praised attribute. However, Junpei eventually pointed out the libero who was the shortest player of them all. And that was when it hit him. Jirou couldn't take his eyes off the amazing libero who pushed himself beyond his efforts saving each and every ball, making sure it never touched the floor. Before he knew it, Jirou was bouncing up and down his seat, cheering for both liberos. It didn't take Jirou much time after that to devote himself to volleyball.

★ Moving to the city and meeting Keiichi.
The Yoshi's would have never thought to move to the city. However, Mama-Yoshi received an offer to open a bakery there in addition to Junpei being awarded a basketball scholarship. She thought these two happy convergences was a sign of great opportunity. Jirou was also excited about the news since he was then finally able to join a volleyball team in middle school. Not to mention that a few days into practice, he finally met someone not much taller than himself! Earnestly, they soon paired up for practice. However, the sunshines-and-fun-times soon faded when the other child imitated the coach's spike as it landed smack center onto Jirou's precious bits. Despite their bittersweet encounter, the two became great friends.

★ Discouragement and surprises.
Both Jirou and Kei were training to become the libero in their team. This meant two things: that they had the same passion for their position and encouraged each other's progress, but they were also each other fiercest rivals for that solo position. Luckily enough, the middle school's coach was a lenient one and often rotated the players. However, Jirou soon realized that something still didn't feel right. He never got to play with his good friend. The moment he realized that, he unconsciously lost his spark to keep up with practice, gradually falling behind until he was benched for a lot of games. Before any confrontation was made between the two friends, the season was already done and summer vacation was starting. Without ever telling Kei about his problems prior leaving, Jirou returned back to the countryside for the summer to attend to his cousin's wedding. However upon his return, puberty had done Jirou well as he had grown a whole foot for the two months he had been away from the city. He returned excitedly to tell Kei the good news: that he was going to play volleyball again, as a front row player. And better yet, they could finally strive to play as teammates on the court with one another without either of them having to sit on the bench. Thus, the two continued to work hard through the summer in hopes to enter the renowned sports-oriented school, Daiki Gakuen.

★ Decision to enroll in Daiki Gakuen and the present.
Since middle school, Jirou had always wanted to attend the prestigious Daiki Gakuen for the school's dedication and seriousness to the sports. He also thought that the uniform was amazing and would look intimidating once worn. But it would be a lie if he didn't admit that the one major factor for enrolling was that he wanted to check out some "high quality" booty of students who's school prided on their training regime. However, aside from his dream of playing volleyball in high school, he is unsure of how to plan for his future; to aim to be a professional player or to take over his family business? But right now, all he wants to think about is playing for Daiki Gakuen with Keiichi to the best of their abilities and win their games.

• [NPC] Junpei Yoshi: He is the eldest son (21) in the Yoshi family. Junpei is determined, hard working and a great leader. He fully supports his younger siblings in whatever they do and will always try to make time for them despite his busy schedule.
• [NPC] Juri Yoshi: She is the youngest daughter (8) in the Yoshi family. Juri is super attached to her brothers, but enjoys pestering Jirou more. If you find anything related to a sheep in their household, it most likely belongs to the little sheep enthusiast.

• Jun Hattori: He has heard many rumours of Daiki's VB Captain, but has not have the chance to talk to him personally to see if they are true or false. Jirou follows the advice of and listens to all his captains, managers, coach, and team adviser.

• Keiichi Inoue: Best friend since middle school. Their friendship grew over the years with their aspiration for their team sport. However, they bicker often about the most important thing ever considered by a high schooler: which is better, butts or boobs?
• Chiaki Ise: They first met when Jirou went to pick up his sister from a play-date at the Ise's household (their little sisters are best friends). They eventually become friends after finding out that they were both into volleyball. Jiirou is terrified of his face though.

Personal:
• For the most parts, Jirou has a weekly schedule he tries to follow. It changes when there is a game or school festivals, but this is generally it.
• Speaks in a Kansai-ben accent, having been raised in the country before moving to the city when he started middle school.
• He's not naturally that dark. He's just really tanned. Country boy for you. Heh.
• He works in his mother's bakery as an assistant. He bakes bread, decorates desserts and helps at the till. His family home is on the second level of the establishment.
• Unlike his best friend, Jirou supports butts more so than boobs. His height challenges the fact he sees more cleavage than glorious gluts though. He jokingly blames Kei for the growth spurt because he always gave him his milk when they were younger.
• With that said, he checks out both females and males and is unsure of his sexuality. But he doesn't focus his time figuring it out and instead, likes to live each day to its fullest.

Volleyball Related:
• His little sister gave him the sheep hair pin after she noticed how much he swipes his bangs during practices and games. He wears it for her more so than the functional purpose.
• If you find any sheep graffiti on his personal sports wear (ex. his shoes), it is most likely because Juri drew on them as "good luck charms". He leaves them there so he won't hurt her feelings, and because of the sentiments.
• During practices and games, he wears black compression shorts to ease his growing pains.
• Pink glasses are manly. Juri and Kei picked them out when he needed a new prescription. He is near-sighted and wears contacts during games so sweat won't get on his lens.

• (Semi) Literate > Script: I tend to write 2~3+ paragraphs as a starter, but I don't expect the same if you're not comfortable with it; I eventually reply to as much as I get from you. I can script anytime, usually for shorter RPs though.
• Skype = Forum/GoogleDocs > Notes > Comment: I am good with most things actually, and I like them for different reasons. Mostly for archiving. But I tend to only like comment RPs for short, slap-stick kinda things. 
• Character development > Slapstick: I'm really interested in character development and chemistry with the characters whether it be friendship, love-interests, enemies or etc. ♥

Overall, I really just want to get to know people in the group~ HEH~ ALL YOU QTS PLZ. But I'm also A-OK with:

• mutual headcannoning if we're both too lazy to RP LMFAO--
• throwing art at people when I have time
• and getting to know people between RPing! MOST DEF THIS PART. ♥

The only "rule" I have is that I believe that RPing is a 50/50 workload; I give as much as I get and I mutually conclude the same for you. If that's not your thing, then we might not be compatible RP partners. ; 3 ;
