Hey there! And here's the moment you've all been waiting for! True to my word, I judged these last week, but haven't gotten around to announcing the winners until just now.

This was SUPER tough to choose! Everyone put a ton of effort into their entries, I felt bad having to choose just three. Many entries used a comic page format, and that takes serious effort and time. For everyone who did that, you deserve kudos for even thinking of entering a comic page. Those ain't no joke. (And all of yours were awesome! For some of you, it was even your first time!) Overall, I judged based on creativity and effort into your idea, plus the concept behind it. Again, I didn't judge based on how right you were in your guess. Overall, I loved EVERYONE'S entries. There were some that were funny, clever, and suspenseful. Great job, all of you! It was so super hard to just choose three. I can't stress that enough.

This comic is one I kept returning to again and again during the contest as more entries came in and during judging. The concept is well thought out, the comic page flows great, and the twist at the end is a HUGE shock! REHEMA!!! How we've missed you! And what is this? It looks like a cub Zira is with him... Hmm... While there were several entries that made this their guess (Rehema and/or Zira), this one really does it well. It's suspenseful, unexpected, and a great guess all around! Congratulations!

Second Prize
For all the wonderful art entries that I had to judge, there were several exceptional story entries - some of which were written to go with a picture that wasn't in comic form. But the one that I kept coming back to was this piece. At least one other guess incorporated the gorge, but this one did it very, very well. It has wonderful description of the settings and characters, so much so that it looks like a page out of my script. And wow! The foreshadowing in this is amazingly well done! There's echoes from the past and the future that really hit home for me. It's a very well written story that tempts me to turn it into a comic - and an overall great guess! Congrats!

Third Prize
There were a few guesses that included the elephant graveyard, but this one I think went the extra mile in explaining how the cubs would get there. They follow a dying elephant. That's genius! And very clever in connecting the grass plains with the dark, gray environment. What also kept drawing me to this comic was all the effort put into it. And from a first-time comic artist too! The panels are a bit jumbled near the start, but that's a nitpick compared to the rest. The cubs' personalities really show through, as well. The end of comic leaves a bone-chilling "what happens next?" thought and adds suspense to the whole scenario. Congrats on a job well done!

Entry for Nala15's contestTaka: Hey guys come here !
They bounced to Taka while Sarafina asked:
-What do you think it is Sarabi ?
-I don't think it's anything to  get exited about.
Taka was watching a rogue lioness and her cub approaching the Pridelands, exausted and starving, barely walking. Taka wanted to get a bit closer, but Mufasa stopped him:
-What do you think youre doing ?
- I am trying to get CLOSER you knucklehead 
-But what if they are dangerous, thy could kill you !
-They are weak Mufasa, i am going down there !
-Fine then, Sarabi, go alert my father right now.
-Alright Muffy, i am on my way.
As Taka approached the lioness, he noticed that they are brownish red, just like Taka. When he got close enough, Taka yelled:
- Who are you ?
-I am Furaha, and my daughter is Ujuzi ? Who are you ?

Mufasa ran faster, the two young lionesses behind him, as his brother called out for him again. He felt his heart race, thinking something was seriously wrong and raced over the see what the problem was.
“Taka! Are you alright..?? What is it!” he yelled, finally catching up to his red furred brother. Taka was looking at something through a tuft of long grass, and used his tail to signal for his brother to come forward further.
“Look at this...I've never seen creatures like these!” the red cub said, softly. He wasn't sure if what he was seeing would harm them or not. Mufasa crouched slightly and inched forward for a look, Sarabi and Sarafina copying him. He shoved just a portion of his head through the grass next to Taka, and his eyes widened. He could hear the lionesses gasp with surprise beside him. Mufasa didn't even notice Zazu landing back on his shoulder, a nervous shudder going through the hornbill's body.
