Watercolour and india ink sketch.
Being an architect, there is nothing I enjoy more than exploring the city and sketching buildings. This summer, when the weather was fine, I set out to explore London and do some sketching from life. The result was a series of London architectural sketches that I have turned into greeting cards.
Lincoln's Inn Fields is the largest public square in London and is located in Holborn. It is a square suffused with history and tradition and surrounded by 17th and 18th century buildings, many of which housed (and in some cases still house) barristers. The building I decided to sketch was the old Land Registry Building at 32 Lincoln's Inn Fields which has since been taken over by the London School of Economics and Political Science.
