Personality:

Intelligent/Enlightened: Unlike others, Kiev is a very strategic male. His mother was also very bright, which she managed to pass down onto her son within the little time that they had together. He is constantly questioning the world around him and searching for answers. He enjoys observing the stars at night and wondering what is beyond them. Kiev's brain is always working and contemplating different ideas, ones that he is hesitant to share with others.

Envious/Possessive: Kiev does not have much in the way of friends, but if he happens to bond with a certain wolf, he is incredibly selfish, because he is terrified that he will loose what he has managed to grab onto. This is due to losing his mother at a young age (young enough to understand what happened). Kiev will want to spend all the time in the world with his companion and will become upset and disappointed if he sees him/her spending more time with someone else. However, Kiev doesn't realize that he is this way and is confused when someone puts him on the spot for it.

Natural hunter: Kiev was born to hunt. Even at a young age, he's nearly mastered the tracking and stalking techniques. He constantly works on his skills to improve himself, but mostly to prove himself to the higher ranks. He takes his task very, very seriously and usually tags along with the other hunters of Kausen to observe them and make mental notes.

Love-struck/Hopeless romantic: His eyes are always searching out a young, beautiful female wolf to "fall in love" with. Kiev does fall very fast and, unfortunately, very hard. However, his love life is drier than a desert, since he does not know how to properly "woo" a female, and he usually makes a big fool out of himself.

Pre-Group History: Kiev was born from a loner couple. As a young child, he was exposed to domestic violence, as he constantly witnessed his mother and father yelling at each other, and sometimes physical abuse. His mother was very small and mentally weak, whereas his father was the dominant, powerful, "no-bullshit" type. The large brute was hardly around the den and rarely explained his absence. When he happened to, it was because he was "hunting", but he returned with food on a very rare occasion. His father's abuse tore his mother's heart apart and was often skittish, but she spoke of her mate in a very admirable, respectful way. Kiev was far too young to realize that his mother was absolutely terrified of her child's sire.

As time passed, Kiev's father's truancy became more and more frequent. The pup was growing fast, and so was his brain. His mother often took him out on little "adventures", teaching him about the world and how it works. Despite her submissive attitude towards her mate, she secretly had extensive knowledge that she passed down onto Kiev whenever his father wasn't around. His father wanted to keep his mate and son "stupid", but to his ignorance, did not realize that it was the other way around.

One fateful day, Kiev made a grand mistake. He confronted his father on his return of a full week and demanded to know where he was. In outrage, Kiev's father swung his massive paw and threw his son to the side and then stood over top of him, threatening his life. His mother pleaded for her son, apologizing on his behalf, crying to her mate. With a snort, his father turned tail and left the same way he returned. Kiev never made the same error ever again - he never had to, for he never saw his father's face again. A few days after the incident, filled with cries for her mate, Kiev's mother finally grew a thick skin, took her son, and fled the den. However, as time passed, Kiev began to notice that his mother was growing weaker and weaker. She laid down more often and could not provide food for her son, so Kiev taught himself how to hunt down the simple foods, like mice. He did not realize that he mother was very, very ill.

The pair eventually ventured to a grotto and tall, rocky cliffs that surrounded it. Kiev's mother was awfully shaky and fragile and often lost her footing. The pup began to chase a passing butterfly and he got too close to the cliff edge, that led to a lethal fall onto jagged rocks and water. He could not hear his mother's cries, too focused on the butterfly. The female quickly grabbed her son's scruff before he could fall over the edge to his death. When she let go and began to lecture him, her weak muscles collapsed and her back paw fell over the rocky fringe, along with her entire body. Kiev watched his mother collapse onto the jagged stones a hundred feet below. At that moment, his entire world crashed down before his eyes. For a few oblivious moments, he leaned over the edge and called out to his mother, but the only reply he was granted was absolute silence.

Kiev wandered off by himself, on the verge of starving. He unknowingly came across Kausen's territory and was founded by a young male named Seaver. The kind wolf took him back to the camp and introduced him to the Alpha and was invited to join the pack. At first, Kiev was reluctant, but he soon accepted the offer.

//: I really like Miss Mona! She's very sweet and to be honest, she reminds me a lot of my own mother. Maybe that's why I enjoy her company so much. She let me bring a puppy she was babysitting outside into the forest and I had a lot of fun! Miss Mona also gave me some future hunting advice, and how to avoid a certain injury, and explained how I could hurt myself if I work too hard. I appreciated her advice and took it to heart.

///: I met Nahi on the northern border of Kausen. Her overall mature and lovely spirit sort of enticed me. She told me that she was going to create a pack of her own and I didn't really understand why she wanted to, but I believe that anyone can do whatever they want to do. I just could never imagine myself as an Alpha. I thought Nahi was a pretty wolf and I want to visit her once she's created her pack.

Lukas
//: Lukas and I really had an interesting meeting... we ended up getting into a lot of trouble with an angry mother bear and a fiece mountain lion. He protected me from the cougar and for that, I am grateful. I hope we can hang out again, but hopefully without any dangers!

Impala
///: Gosh, Impala... where do I even begin? She helped me on my first deer hunt and ever since then, I can't keep my eyes off of her. I know she's interested in that Whitewall guy, but I can't help but think that maybe... maybe someday she'll see that I'm not a pup anymore and that I could care for her. I appreciated her helping me on my successful hunt and I want to go hunting with her again - we made a great team.

Woo! Second character! I have to admit, I put a lot more time into Kiev then I did with Ocala. I think Kiev is a lot more interesting then my Blutwald girl, since he has more of a personality and background twist. I have future plans that are going to turn ugly with this guy, so I'm very excited to roleplay him. (:<
