Lady Serenity

This was fun, all done in Manga Studio and a great practice.  Sketch, ink (though I might not use the mapping pen as much again, the bodice was with a G-pen and looks a bit less shaky), color, highlights and shadows, and background.  I used 's Copic Color Set again, and the Copic Marker brush linked in the description on that page.  I really recommend this, with opacity varying between 30 and 80 for various levels of shadow and light.  I'm rather happy with that background, it didn't take me terribly long to do it either.  The whole thing probably was a bit over 8hrs if I did it all consecutively instead of in spurts over the last three days.

Princess Serenity, daughter of Queen Serenity (Selene) and the past incarnation of Usagi/Serena from Sailor Moon, gazes upon a rose thinking of her forbidden love for Prince Endymion before the fall of the Silver Millennium.  Given the reboot of the anime series, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, going on now, I felt compelled.  I was going to use Ms. Takeuchi's more whimsical manga style, but it was what it was when I was done, with the eyes only passing close to that.
