I mostly use paragraph style, but I'm willing to try whatever if you prefer another type. We can plan ahead or start with a prompt, or we can yolo it.  If you like you can just send me a starter or a message saying you'd like to RP and we'll figure something out. Renuka Pant / F / 30 / Pansexual

Personality:
Level-headed, patient, down-to-earth (sometimes literally), she can sometimes come off as lax but she has a history of anxiety

curious (sometimes comes off as nosey b/c she'll poke her head in to see what other people are doing), ambitious (not always outwardly-so), has a tendency to get nervous before big events but once she's in the moment she's fine

it's pretty easy to gain her trust but once you lose it you'll never fully get it back, loyal, a peacekeeper (also doesn't like to get in arguments/ fights with people so will find ways to avoid conflict in general)

enjoys working as a team, comfortable in leading positions but enjoys letting others take the spotlight, enjoys sports but isn't really what you'd call athletic, occasionally a bit flirty

It isn't always obvious but she's very interested and invested in her work and really enjoys it.  Sometimes the paperwork gets repetitive to her and she'll look for distractions, but all-in-all she enjoys her job.

History:  The Pant family have lived in Verot for generations.  Always welcoming to new people, cultures, and traditions, the bloodline can be traced back to all corners of the nation.  Renuka's mother was a seamstress and father a merchant (though he liked to dabble in other things as they caught his fancy).  Renuka was most influenced by her grandmother, Anurandi Pant, who enjoyed collecting things both valuable and trivial.  Together they would sift through her old photos and keepsakes and Anurandi had a story for each of them.  With her grandmother's stories and the Desert's already-established economy on archaeology, Renuka studied hard to become an anthropologist.  Just two years ago she finished writing her thesis which included theories on the rise and fall of the Yveltal Cult group.

Her work gained her connections with a lot of influential people, many working for the Desert government.  She began to pay closer attention to Desert politics, having always been pretty patriotic, and actually managed to get a foot into the government.  She became more involved through the years as the well-being of her biome became of high importance to her.  Her anthropology thesis took her almost five years to complete with her increased work outside of school.  Last year the Desert Assistant position opened up, and she applied for it eagerly.  The tests and interviews came easy to her and she got the position.  Soon after, the Leader, Clayton Silverman, stepped down and she was given the position in his place.  She's very humble about her new title and quick to remind people she's not the only person working the government - she has a brilliant team which she's very proud of.  She'll refer to herself as "just the pretty face relaying the messages" but she does take criticism hard and is always eager to please Desert citizens and do what's right for the Biome's environment.

Don't talk to her about aliens or Yveltal.  She has a lot of pent up conspiracies and you'll never shut her up.
She genuinely likes to compliment people and make them feel good.  Sometimes this can come off as her being flirty, and if you like the flirting and she likes you then she might make it actual flirting, but otherwise it's probably just her being nice.
She tends to be very close with best friends - trusting, caring, intimate [usually but not always platonic].

Personality: Proud [who wouldn't be with those lashes!], a good judge of character, not really into 'playing' but is happy to let young pokemon play /on/ him, he does enjoy sports [polo and races, for example] and a good walk/ run, easily contented and generally gets along with people and other pokemon.
Short History: Renuka's uncle breeds desert pokemon for transportation and she was given a numel when she was young.  The two were inseparable and have grown quite alike.  They work well as a team, both in battle and sport (Dalit is Renuka's Polo pokemon!).

Personality: A bit impish, likes to poke around - curious and mischievous in a way, think "cat", can also be lazy at times, loves recieving/ catching food, often found lazing in the sand - on hot days she'll bury herself with just her 'other mouth' (what do I even call it..??) exposed, occasionally she may get herself into trouble after which she will either quickly flee or 'apologize' (basically just stop whatever they were doing or blink a few times before sauntering off to find something else to do), she really enjoys battle and is quite competitive if a bit scrappy.
Short History: Renuka found Rotem out in the desert, half buried in the sand (with the "head-mouth" thing sitting in waiting, like a trap).  Renuka was intrigued by the pokemon and decided she really wanted to capture it.  It wasn't an easy capture, as the mawile was rather set on being left alone [unless dinner was involved] but eventually Renuka pulled through.  Rotem became accustomed to its new lifestyle pretty quickly.

            Forces the target to switch to a random ally.
Personality: Loves to run and is Renuka's "race" pokemon.  Not only is Nakia a fast runner, but her bulk makes it difficult for opponents to push by her, and she tackles through obstacles with ease.  She's a sucker for attention and loves baths.  She makes friends easy and will sometimes nudge/ push people for attention (like "pet mee") but if her pushing bothers you just give her a nudge and she'll back off (Renuka's been caught between Nakia and a wall too many times :'D).  She's usually pretty docile and chill, but Mew help you if you piss her off (luckily this is pretty difficult).
Short History: For most of her her life, Renuka feared Hippopotatus and Hippowdon - she'd heard how dangerous they could be with their surprising speed on land and their deadly bite - until she met somebody with one.  She immediately decided she wanted one but was too busy to go out and catch her own.  Nakia was given to her [as a hippopotas] as a gift from her family and friends for her birthday and the pokemon seldom left her side while she continued her studies.

Sabri / Starmie / 64 / n.a [Renuka uses they/she] / Water-Psychic
Ability: Natural Cure
            This Pokemon has its status cured when it switches out.

            10% chance to confuse the target.
Personality: Despite how seldom they move, their gem-like eye is always alert and moving.  While they prefer to remain stationary, their psychic powers aid them in raising their body to a "standing" position when battling.  They love to swim (and move a lot quicker in the water) and enjoys being around children.  Sabri seems to have a 'third sense' for things like storms and will become more anxious when they sense one coming.  It's unclear whether or not Sabri can communicate via telekenisis - they've never used it with Renuka.  If they want something they will usually get it themselves [Psychic helps], but usually they're just content with whatever.
Short History: Found while exploring ruins, its constant gaze was creeping everyone out, but Renuka thought it was kinda cool, so she decided to catch it and keep everyone happy.  Renuka often worries about how happy/etc Sabri is [since they don't really communicate] and will go out of her way at times to do something for them (it's never really clear how much Sabri appreciates this).  The two of them seem to get along, with a "mutual respect" between the them.

Tvuna / Mandibuzz / 78 / F / Dark-Flying
Ability: Overcoat
    This pokemon is immune to residual weather damage, and powder moves.

            Heals 50% HP.  Flying-type removed 'til turn ends.
Personality: Watchful, diligent, dislikes being touched/ handled [prefers to be independent] - despite this she's known to be patient (like when shelter- workers were trying to help her when she'd been injured) and will give many other signs of displeasure before she chooses attack as a way to get someone to stop something.  She's pretty good at conveying what she wants someone to know (gives clear signals, etc.).  When meeting new pokemon she is often cautious, preferring to perch away from them and observe them before making a move to interact.  She enjoys battling and testing her strength, but she is adamant about fights being fair (no cheap-shots, no picking on the weak -- just tests of strength and character).
Short History: Tvuna was taken in by a shelter after she'd been found injured after a sandstorm.  Renuka's friend was a shelter-worker so she brought Renuka by one day to see the Mandibuzz.  She asked if she could have the bird when it'd finished healing, but they said it was really up to the Mandibuzz.  Renuka spent a little (read: a lot of) extra time there afterwards, trying to gain the mandibuzz's preference.  Apparently it worked because Tvuna agreed to become Renuka's partner after she'd healed.

Renuka's final pokemon was originally a haxorus, given to her by her Grandmother before she passed away 4 years ago.  The haxorus had belonged to Anurandi since she was a girl (and it was an axew) and they were very close.  After Anurandi's passing, the Haxorus become quite distant and eventually became ill.  It succumbed to the illness last year and Renuka has yet to fill the remaining slot.
