My entry for SKRATCHJAMS 's Battle the Undead
Kinda sketchy as they are in idea development, but I had fun.
I thought it be cool to fill in the blank that teenagers actually able to hold themselves against the apocalypse. But as both of them are teenagers, dodging a frontal assault is always their plan of survival. And they are like scavengers in the city. They move in the shadows, quickly and quietly.
Joe Red Head: - Main weapon of choice was actually a sling shot: distract, disorient, and disengage. If things get hot, he can always switch to his baseball bat for defense. Gas mask took from a hardware store. And arm pads are from his usual skating sports. His skate was broken, but he can always get a new one someday. Afterall, its free this time.
Mia The scout: - Main weapon was a bow, having won several sport games of archer shooting, Mia is as good as a sharp shooter. She usually scout on top of the building, or high ground. And prefer to keep her distance from the zombies. If things get out of hands, she will switch to her knife (located around her leg). Bow was taken from an archery shop, which explain the sport-ish color.
