About DreamUp and protection against AI
Hello all! Long time no see. There are some confusion going around about this article. I'll try to help a bit for what I've gathered from the staff. About DreamUp DreamUp is an image-generation tool (an AI) able to generate images from prompts. It uses images from datasets to "learn" how to draw, reusing parts or style of images to create new ones. First thing to know is that... DeviantArt did not, does not, and will not use deviations submitted to DeviantArt to add to third-party AI models or training sets, or on DreamUp itself. Meaning your art will not automatically be used for DreamUp. DreamUp is actually using a third party dataset, not the DeviantArt database. DreamUp makes use of Stable Diffusion, a third-party AI model trained on image datasets gathered by LAION from across the internet. But if you've submitted your art on other sites, it's not impossible that your art might be in the LAION datasets or any other dataset used by other AI. About the Protection Against AI As
