Race for the joy (Errand 10 placeholder)

The morning is quite the rush like we had to actually take the lightest of breakfast today so, Glitter and I checked the board for anything new "we missed two errands and now I'm like guilty for this" she groaned in anger as she saw one that somehow lifted her mood somehow "this is interesting" she said as she jots down the details

"Calm down, its not like we're in huge trouble somehow" I said while patting her back "a lil race might ease our nerve hopefully" I continued to calm her down as I notice a jolteon with a cyan armband on one of its paw he seemed familiar I thought to myself as I saw him approached the buletin board proceeded to check for any errands.

One particular post caught his eye, and he was sure he wasn't seeing things. "A race for a fucking star coin? The guilds sure have nothing better to fucking do."

Still, I saw him jotted down the details and before heading somewhere to inform the others, he saw us besides him.

Glitter turned to face him and couldn't help to notice that jolteon we met not long ago "looks like we're on the same boat" she spoke, tail swishing with anger "missed two freaking errands and gah!" She shouted as she shock the nearest pokemon which would be me

"Ouch... im no stress ball" I groaned in pain, twitching a bit from the shock of electricity as if being given a mini paralyzed state. I twitched a bit more and then attempted get up to my paws but it didn't work, I should have dodged earlier but I don't have lightning reflex like she does anyway.

The jolteon if I'm not mistaken his name is Raiken from Team No-Regrets cringed from laughing "So how are you guys holding up? I've missed an errand due too. Ignis being sick too, and don't wanna miss up on this one," he greeted us as I nodded.

Glitter shook herself  from her anger "oh, doin fine" she replied as she tried to lift me up "you know, I'm thinking of a come-back from that last race" she grinned as she nudged me.

"I'm not sure this would end great" I gulped with uncertainty as I was yanked by his tail "fine... lets find a cart and get this over with somehow" I huffed, feeling like a sack being dragged to where the carts are.

"Say," he winked at us "I'll go home and call them down so we could start the race, and you go find another partner so you could participate. 3 in a cart, they say, so see you here in 10 minutes! We'll start from the beacon to subseed!" He told us as we nodded before parting ways to find ourselves another partner.

We head out to Fun's place, its a lil quiet for today at his place somehow might be due to the race thing "Fun~ Via~ guess what we're gonna do today" said Glitter joyfully as she jumped on one of the bar chair.

Fun looked at her with a lazy look "what could it be..." he lazily replied as she whispered to his ears "a race! Count me in!" He exclaimed as he went to take something

Via simply giggled and nodded "looks like you made somebody's day Glitter" she said as she lifted both Firestorm and Glitter onto her back "so, I'm guessing the beacon to the forest, yes? I'm cheering for you three" she continued as she followed Fun from behind to the said place.

Few minutes later, we made it back to the bulletin board "Maybe a lil planning would do" I told them as I took out the map "the beacon's here and Subseed is here" I pointed on the map "Fun and I defend while u get what you wanted" I continued assigning roles for the upcoming role.

Glitter nodded with delight "I'm hoping to slow him down, I'm so gonna win" she huffed with pride as she calm herself down as the planning continues.

10 minutes later, they've all gathered back at the Bulletin Board, ready to head out for the race.

"Have fun~" Raiken beamed at each and every one of them present as we cheered for joy.

"I'm just gonna watch them" she said as she sat away from the track "you three hav fun, I'm cheering for you all" she called out from the spectator spot.

Glitter got to a cart, ready as she glanced at the others "come on everyone!" She called out joyfully as she jumped in the defenders spot.

I looked at her with a confused look "aren't u gonna pull the cart?" I questioned her as she jumped down from the defenders spot "hopefully Fun is a bit lighter today" he said jokingly with a nudge.

Fun chuckled "all the best" he said as he checks his distraction supply.

"I'm gonna call the start now!" Diminuendo, a zoraork ,waved a claw, creating a red flag using his illusions and held it high up in the air. "Nameless will be waiting for you guys at the path to the dungeon! On 3!" He announced as he starts the countdown.



"3!" Everymon called out in unison. "2! 1! Race start!!"

"And away we go!" She called out for joy, getting quite the headstart with the use of flash as I didn't expect one from her as everything went blurry.

"Gah! Your flash blinded me a bit, hopefully I could defend any incoming attack with the light screen" said Firestorm while rubbing his eyes and the blurred vision is still there as I sigh in defeat "looks like its up to our ears" he said, keeping ears up and ready for action as I too tighten my focus.

Fun pulled his sunglasses off "that was something, head left!" He said, holding on tight as we made a turn to the left "I don't know if they actually anticipate a flash from you, Glitter" he wondered as he looked back and so do I.

"Oww! What was that for!?" Raiken closed his eyes after being affected by Flash, unable to navigate. "Cres, you're gonna take the wheel!"

"Got it!" Crescendo, being a Lucario, had no trouble navigating through the streets since she could use Aura Vision as a second means of sight. They quickly got back on track, following right behind. "Soulless, try hitting Waterfall!"

"..." Without a word, the Buizel obeyed. He swung his paws hard and a strong jet of water gushed towards us.

I heard them all clearly, so this is what it is to tighten up the focus on hearing I thought to myself as I heard the part about Waterfall

I used Lightscreen as I tried to block some of the incoming water "water! Why do you have to do this to me!" I called out as I laid light screen randomly at their tracks "see if you can find those light screen" I playfully point his tongue at the lucario

"Road splits into two directions! Pick a spot!" Fun warned Glitter as the cart took right "you know, those light screen at perfect angle would be like hardened up invisible wall... except for a lucario" he reminded me as I smack my head for not realising it.

Glitter didn't get the chance to know what's behind her for now after taking the right lane of the split, eventually we would reconnect and somehow be next to each other "oh no... we're gonna be joining back together! Prepare for action boys cause one might get shock, again and the other option is get super soaked" she warned us as the lane joins back together as I got ready in being defensive.
