How to register your horse

Is your horse an accepted color?

• The rules are simple: in most cases, the horse must show the genes it is being registered under.
  _{Note on Flaxen, Pangare and Pearl: In RL, there is a test for Pearl but not Flaxen or Pangare. Because of this, and through a group wide poll, it was decided to only accept Pearl carriers and not Flaxen or Pangare carriers. This is similar to the rules in several real life color registries: no show, no registration. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.}
  
• Unnatural horses are accepted, with several caveats: the underlying color must be visible, fantasy markings may not cover more than half the coat, and the 'horse' can not have more than 25% non-horse features. • For all horses, a grey or white pattern covering the color is acceptable.

Does your horse have a reference with a full correct genotype?
-If you need help, feel free to note us or ask around, many people in the dA stable world can be happy to help!

• The reference needs to have name, gender, color, correct genetics (written to convention: dom is uppercase, recessive is lower, 2 alleles per gene) and breed. If you own a gelding and would like it to be listed in the registry as having semen available, please have that listed as well.

You do not need to belong to this group, or need to have a stable registered with any stable group


If your horse fits the requirements, then simply suggest the reference to the correct folder!
One of the moderators will check your horse.  If everything is included, the reference will be accepted: the moderator will add it to other relevant sections if it qualifies for multiple folders. Easy peesy
_{If your horse can fit in multiple folders, please just suggest it to one of them and we will copy it to the other folders. Please do not submit it to all appropriate folders, this will not work and creates more hassle for us.}


After registration/updating/selling etc...

If your horse has been registered, but you changed the reference, sold your horse/bought an already registered horse:

• -Remove the older reference from the group and suggest the new, up-to-date reference to the group. Place a comment in the acceptance area mentioning that the horse is already registered and it is simply an update.
