Breeding Legendaries

A player may only breed a specific species of Legendary Pokemon 3 times a year. Normal cooldowns to their breedings still apply.

This means that should Player A choose to breed a Zapdos, for example, they are limited to breeding -any- Zapdos or Zapdos related hybrid THREE TIMES BETWEEN JANUARY 1ST AND DECEMBER 31ST. You may not breed one Zapdos three times and then breed another three more. You get THREE SPECIES SPECIFIC BREEDINGS IN TOTAL.

You also may not 'loan' your Zapdos to another player to breed for you. Once your Zapdos specific slots are used, you are done being involved in any Zapdos related clutches for a year.

These are species specific, mind you. Just because you have used your Zapdos related breedings does not mean you're restricted from breeding your other Legendaries. You have 3 breedings for each different Legendary species. Unless they are double/triple/quadruple Legendary hybrids, that is; if you are trying to swing around the rules and get more Zapdos breedings by breeding a Moltres/Zapdos, for example, it will be invalid.

A total of 2 Legendary babies can be achieved in a clutch. You are free to use lucky dice on your breedings, but you will never get more than 2 Legendaries, even with the breeder ribbon.  This includes any hybrid babies in the total.

That means, in total, a player can potentially produce 6 Legendary Pokemon of a specific species per year.

Please also note that you can only get up to 2 legendary babies per clutch.  This meaning, if you breed two legendaries together you can only get 2 babies max.

Legendaries are intended to be rare. We do not approve of 'puppy-milling' your Legendaries. On the flip side, we didn't want to make the restrictions too harsh. Players without Legendaries should still be able to have a chance to get some and not be cut off because someone else decided to abuse the breeding of a species.
