Anabelle

The journey had been going on for so long... The red dun filly didn't think that it was ever going to end. It had been harrowing, many fawns dropping towards the rear of the guards, then suddenly disappearing altogether. Those that became sick, injured, or too fatigued to carry on were left behind. Anabelle could only watch as the snow covered their bodies until they became hidden or out of sight.

Finally, when she'd been a breath away from giving up and joining those fawns laying back there among the snow, they arrived. At first she didn't realize it. Nothing had really changed... But, she soon begun to dully take notice of the accumulating amount of fawnlings in this place... and then they stopped... They hardly ever stopped. Was this it?

The young filly looked around at the strangers. Her eyes were narrowed. She was so young and had been so full of life... Now she was full of hatred. Hatred towards these cruel strangers who had whisked her away from her Mama. Were they all this horrible? She liked to think that they weren't.... But, they were guilty until proven innocent in her mind.

Kaziya

Kaziya had been one of the first to enter their new home, if a prison could be called a home.  Having just woken up from a quick nap, she had a somewhat fresher outlook on things.  Sure, it was scary but she had her friends and Keet’s dad was here!  If he was here, she was sure things couldn’t be that bad!

A few more fawns, the stragglers of the ground, began to file into the compound.  Kaziya’s ears pricked forward, noticing the red dun filly Anabelle.  She looked lonely and Kaziya knew how awful it was to feel lonely.  Raising her tail like a flag, she waved it back and forth excitedly.  “Hey Anabelle, over here!”

Her shout across the group to the other filly did not go unnoticed.  With a stern gaze, she was promptly shushed by one of the nearby guards.  The pangare filly dropped her head, laying her ears against her head.  “Erh, sorry,” she responded apologetically.  But the reprimand didn’t last long.  When the guard moved on, she raised her head against and whispered feverishly.  “Anabelle.  PSSSSST!”

At least she was trying to be quiet.

Virgil

Virgil still feels very tired he has rested for a bit but it still not enough. He hasn’t figured a way to get back home nor had he managed to see if his parents are near to save him and the other fawns. He is about to lie down once more when his attention was focused on a pangare filly shouted the name of a red dun one. She must had annoyed a guard because immediately he caught the scolding of a stag telling her to be quiet. Snorting he shakes his burnt buckish pelt free of snow and walks to the tired looking Anabelle.

“Hey I have seen you before back at our home!”

He says the word home with emphasis because this isn’t their true home, and he wanted the mean stags to know that this would never he his home. One of the stags is about to scold him but another told him to ignore the fawn. Virgil turns his attention back to Anabelle.

“My name is Virgil, what is yours?”

He looks at the other filly waiting for her to join them.

Ffion

Ffion sighed as she finally got up from her mountain den; not able to sleep. She wanted to know what was going on in the main herd and her mind wasn’t going to let her rest. She walked steadily down the icy path down to the woodland. The skies looked dark which made her worry; she didn’t want to be stuck down with the gossiping does not being able to get back to her den. She walked for almost 10 minutes before she got to the main herd and she felt her blood go cold.

She took a few unsteady steps closer watching the guards move the scared and thin looking fawns into the place they took prisoners. These fawns were not prisoners; there were babies…

They looks so scared and looked so hungry; she didn’t recognize them. She took another uncertain step towards them but staying far enough away. Why were they here? why weren’t they with their mothers and fathers like they should be? She bit her lip as she watched them feeling her heart sink even more as she thought about her first born…

Anabelle

Anabelle's eyelids drooped. She was just about to doze off when a voice caught her attention... A familiar voice. Kaziya! The red dun filly's head shot up, big brown eyes widening even more as she looked around desperately for her friend. She spotted her golden friend not too far off, huddled into a group with three others. One of the fawns she was with was the one who had called the silver stag his father. One colt was large, a bit intimidating. Then there was a small filly, then Kaziya.

Anabelle took a small step forward but stopped when another voice piped up. This one she didn't recognize. She turned her head towards it, seeing a colt with a dark buckskin coat approaching her. He claimed to have seen her in the Cape before and she herself had seen him around. She might have even played him with a couple times, she wasn't sure. "Hello." she said softly, then answered his question. "Anabelle." she smiled slightly then looked to Kaziya. "Let's go over here." she said, wanting to go over to her friend but not wanting to be rude to the colt, so she had just decided to invite him.

Kaziya

Tired, but happy to see her friend, Kaziya waited patiently for the two fawns to make their way through to crowd to her.  Cool!  Now she had not only Keet, Illyrica, and Rafe to keep her company but two more friends!  She didn’t know the buckskin colt but he seemed to know Anabelle, so he was probably cool.

“Hi, I’m Kaziya.  You can call me Z, if ya want!”  She said, introducing herself to the colt.  With a wag of her tail, the red gold filly walked to Anabelle’s side and touched noses with the spotted fawn.  Satisfied, she sat down on the ground, her back legs splayed out to the sides as she got comfortable.  Although the guards occasionally shushed the group of captured fawns, they didn’t seem to be particularly mean to anyone.

On the outskirts of the group, Kaziya looked at the faces of the onlookers.  Some looked angry, some looked pleased.  Some even looked sad, like the face of the pretty doe that walked up.  Kaziya blew out a breath of air, watching as the puff of vapor rippled then disappeared.  “Pretty crazy, huh?”  She was, of course referring to their predicament.

Aislin

The mood had been strange this morning. Actually, this mood had already longer been strange. To start with that  a lot of guards had been leaving, without telling where they would go. Exploration, she thought. But later it became more obvious that this was something bigger, but even she did not know it would be this big.

The young fawn walked towards the big group of fawns producing a wide arrange of noise. Some were calling their mothers, other were calling their fathers. But it was obvious that they were scared, exhausted and in a poor condition. She wonders what had happened to them, and considered it strange. Very strange.

But what might even be more strange is that she knew none of these fawns. Not a single one of them. So, her curiosity grew. And as she approached the big herd of fawns her determination to find out what was going on grew too.

Ffion
Ffion looked around before sighing and walking forward towards the group of fawns. The closer she got to the sad looking bunch the more her blood turned cold. Why would they take these babies away from their family? What have they done to deserve this?

She got close to the fawns ignoring the dirty look she got off the guards and nuzzled a few of the sad looking fawns; trying to silence their cries to stop the guards from shouting at them.

Virgil

Virgil follows Annabelle to where the other filly is at, and quickly learned her name Kaziya. He gives her a small smile before being polite and introducing himself.

Virgil: “Nice meeting you, I am Virgil.”

He sits down joining Kaziya in the same action, he still feels very tired, but at least he had made some company during their stay here, which he hope isn’t very long.

Virgil: “I hope we don’t have to stay long… I miss my parents…”

Turning his head to the side he sees a doe giving attention to some of the fawns that had been kidnapped and it’s makes him wonder that perhap there were are good fawnlings in this herd too. Not all of them, but some at least.

Nopharia

Nopharia woke with a start at the cries of children. Her heart sunk as she rose to her feet, and followed the wails to the most frightening thing she had ever seen. Fawns cowered in a group, eyes wide and mouths agape. Nopharia's nostrils flared in astonishment and the heavily pregnant mare made a lumbering attempt to push past the other onlookers and reach the children.
After a bit of shoving and pushing, she had reached the guarded children, and raising her head high and proud she brushed past the guards ignoring their eyes upon her. Alliance children or not, she knew this was wrong.
The Grulla doe stood protectively with the children, eyeing the guards as if daring them to touch another hair upon a fawns head.
"It is alright little ones, we will sort this out."

Anabelle

The growing number of fawnlings were overwhelming. Never before had Anabelle been this crowded.. She didn't like it... But, some of these strangers looked compassionate...Maybe they actually did want to hep her.

The red dun filly slowly laid down beside Kaziya and Virgil, letting out a small sigh of relief at the action. It felt kind of good to lay down... and to lay down for a while at that. She snuggled in close to Kaziya, taking comfort in their close proximity.

She watched the strangers now. A sooty silver grullo and a pangare flaxen chestnut doe were merging in with the group, going around and nudging some of the crying fawns, trying to comfort them. Anabelle's ears flicked back slightly. So, it looked like not all of these strangers were bad... A couple were trying to help at least.

She spotted another fawn on the sidelines, a pretty silver dapple filly. She looked a bit confused and merely watched them, not moving. If only she knew what the fawns before her had and are going through…

Aislin

Time had passed, and the big herd of fawns had started to look for each other and make small groups. One of those groups had she found particularly interesting, as one of the members had been looking at her with its big, sad brown eyes. A fawn with a strikingly red dun colouration with fawn markings. It was hard to miss, even in such a big herd.

She knew she had to help the fawns, but she had no idea how she could. Comfort them, like everybody else? Or could she do more? She was not sure how to do this, but nevertheless she ran into the herd of fawns while dodging the guards quickly and swiftly while they yelled after her.

When she saw the group with the red dun fawn in it she stopped and introduced herself, then she laid down and took a look at all of them.
“I am here to help.” she was not really sure whether she should smile or not but decided not to, since there was really nothing to smile about.

Kaziya

So many new faces!  It was all so exciting.  Even if she didn’t understand everything that was going on, meeting new friends was always a treat!

But Anabelle and Virgil seemed sad, so Kaziya dropped her head down and nuzzled the red filly’s head.  “It’ll be okay guys!” she began cheerily with a bob of her head, “Just think of it as an adventure!”  She loved adventures, even if she was tired and maybe just a little bit scared.  But if she thought of it as a game, she didn’t feel as afraid.

Kaziya looked up as the grullo doe and silver dapple filly melted into the ground.  She grinned.  “See, they aren’t mean!”  She would have jumped up but, since Anabelle seemed comfortable, she stayed put as best she could.  With her ears pricked forward, the pangare filly introduced herself to the new strangers.  “I’m Kaziya!  Call me Z if ya want.”

Her voice trailed off as she once more looked around the hollow.  It looked, in a lot of ways, similar to home but it smelled so different!  “Do y’know where we are?”

Virgil

Virgil lets out a sigh and tries not to be so sad, it was hard thought and he was hungry, but he didn’t want to move yet, he was comfortable, and being together with the others kept him warm. He then heard the voice of a doe that had gotten close to them, and then Kaziya introduced herself excitedly. Despite the situation he smiles a bit, Z definitely is a happy fawn.

Vigil decides to lie down tucking his legs close to his body. Then he looks at the doe that came to them.

Virgil: “Why they took us from home? Daddy told me that bad fawnlings only did that, like some oakferns… are you guys like them… or like blackwoods?”

He remembered asking his dad once about the different kingdoms because he had heard some does talking about them. He told them about the small oakfern that took small fawns, then the huge blackwood that took does away, his father didn’t tell him why thought those two groups took fawnlings away. Then the glenmore that could make plants grow, and Silverthorne that made fires.

Nopharia

The grulla doe made her way to a trio of fawns, tightly snuggled by a main herd doe. Her brown eyes gazed upon the quartet with warmth.
“hello little ones,” She greeted, her eyes flicked to Aislin, “its good to see not everyone is being inhospitable here.”
She shifted to her other foot, the night hours were making her weary, and the stress was not good for her, that she knew. “Do you mind if I lay with you? Perhaps we could try to figure out a way to get you back to your families." Nopharia grinned.

Aislin

She looked at the other fawns and was just about to answer their questions when Nopharia walked in. She nodded to greet and agree with the words she spoke, but did not respond with any words as she was always a bit more shy around adults.

“Now, to the questions.” the fawn thought and nodded. “To sum it up, you all are in the Hollow which is in Windborne. In main-herd territory, I believe. “ then, she turned silent for a long while and laid her head to the ground, before looking up to Nopharia and hoping that she could answer the question why they were here.

“To the questions about why you are here, and why they took you.. I just don’t know.”

She hoped that Nopharia could answer this question later on, since she herself was wondering about this herself too.
Then, the fawn sighed a bit but decided that being sad with them would not comfort them. So, she made a small but cautious smile.

Anabelle

"Maybe not all of them..." the red dun filly mumbled lowly under her breath. "But, most." Anabelle glanced over at Virgil as he questioned the silver dapple filly as to why her kind had captured them. The filly snorted under her breath slightly. Did he really expect another fawn to know?

Another doe suddenly came over, the silver grulla that Anabelle had spotted earlier. The doe seemed rather kind... She asked if she could lay with them. Anabelle didn't really say anything, just nodded slightly. She didn't have much to say to these strange adults. She didn't like them... didn't trust them.

But, when the silver grulla mentioned something about getting home the filly's ears flicked forwards once again. The grulla could get them home!? "Really!?" she exclaimed, big brown eyes wide. "You could really do that?" the filly glanced to the side, noticing that the pangare flaxen chestnut doe hadn't approached them yet.

Jeet

Jeet picked his way carefully among the little cluster of bodies, his ears turning to and fro anxiously as he guided his son to the small group of other foals gathered near Nopharia. He offered the other grulla a tense smile as he nosed Keet into the protective semi-circle he formed with the doe.

“Best keep our voices very low on that subject,” he warned, his eyes meeting Nopharia’s, “we might be friends, but there are very few here who would be happy hearing that kind of talk.” He wanted the exact same thing, but they were a minority here, and there were guards everywhere.

“But for now, how about a story?” The silver stag offered a friendly smile to the small cluster of fawns, folding his long legs beneath him as he settled down with them. “Something to get our minds off of the bad things.”

Keet

The sooty bay colt grinned crookedly to Kaziya and plunked down close to her, looking up at his father with confidence. “What kinda story? An adventure? It should be! We all know what it’s like to go on an adventure now, right?” He puffed up proudly, even though he was tired and his long legs felt boneless from the journey.

“We’re all pro adventurers.”

Kaziya

Kaziya’s head whipped around as she heard the sound of Jeet’s voice.  “Keet!” she exclaimed excitedly, wagging her tail as her friend stiff-leggedly plooped beside her.  Nipping his ears in greeting, the golden fawn nodded energetically.  “E’sactly!  Totally pro,” she agreed with a sage nod of her head.  Being a pro adventurer was serious stuff!

She looked up at Jeet, her eyes wide with wonder.  “What kin’a story ya gonna tell?”  She loved stories, even if they did sometimes make her fall asleep.  Her aunt told the best stories and she hadn’t met anyone who was quite as soon as her but, since Jeet seemed pretty cool, she was sure he had a bunch of new stories to tell her that she hadn’t heard yet!

Being surrounded by such friendly company made her feel much more at home.  The filly made herself comfortable, cozying up to Keet and Anabelle as she waited for Jeet to begin.

Aislin

She smiled when both Jeet and Keet came walking in. She did not know either of them too well, but they seemed friendly enough.

She looked to her side to see the fawns cuddled up together, and she herself was not too sure to join them. Yet, after a while she decided to shuffle closer to Keet, cautiously joining the cuddle-fest.

She too was excited to hear the story, so with perked ears and a raised up head she waited patiently for Jeet to begin.

Anabelle

The young filly's ears flicked back nervously as a grullo stag and a young bay colt joined the growing group. She recognized them both. They were father and son.

The fiesty red dun filly shot the stag a small suspicious glance before looking away again. She didn't trust these adults very much... especially stags. Stags had been the ones that had taken her from her family and brought her here. No, she wouldn't trust them at all. Who knows, he could have been one of the strangers who had stolen her and she just hadn't seen him in all the pandemonium!

Despite herself, the filly's ears flicked forwards with curiosity as the silver stag mentioned a story. Okay, okay... He had her attention now. She'd always been a stickler for stories. What sort of stories would the stag have to tell though?

Anabelle glanced at Keet briefly, a little curious about him but a little too shy to talk to start a conversation with him, before smiling slightly when Kaziya snuggled back up between her and the bay colt.

Virgil

Since his questions couldn’t be answered he decided it to drop the matter. Then he saw Jeet and Keet join them, he had seen them previously back home. He hasn’t interacted much with them but had seen them several times. Once Jeet mentioned about making them a story, he had captured Virgil’s complete attention.

Virgil:” A story would be nice.”

He is a curious fawn and would always ask question of everything to his parents. The possibility of learning something made him forget a bit the predicament they are in. He gets more comfortable and turns his head and ears towards Jeet.

Nopharia

Pharia's heart jumped when she heard Jeet behind her. His was a voice she didn't often hear, and since their escapade she hasn't seen much of him. His words quieted he about the fawns escape. "Of course Jeet, I wasn't thinking."
She fell quiet then, smiling when the fawns grew excited at the promise of a story, and how the little ones boasted their bravery. She knew an adventure story would be well reciprocated. She enjoyed the sight of the stag being so fatherly, wondering how her fawn would be with him as well. She then turned to Anabelle, who was looking a bit unsure of Jeet still. Pharia Nuzzled the little thing, "are you alright little one?"

Silas

What was going on?  Why was he being kept here?  Where was his mother?  The simple colt could only ask these three questions over and over in his thoughts, confusion and terror the only emotions he was currently capable of.  He could hear the voices of other fawns, guards, and adults behind him, but from where he lay curled up in as tight of a ball as his form could create he could not see them, nor did he want to.

Silas’ thin sides heaved rapidly as more sobs rocked his form, gasps filling the small gaps between his tears.  He had thus far refused to move, wailing for his mother each time any fawnling came too close, begging them to let him go find her.  Not many other fawns of his age had attempted to reach out to him yet, but Silas was far from being concerned with comfort or friends.  All he wanted was his mother. . .
Well, here's part one!!! Part two will be continued on the same doc :3 It'll basically be based upon Jeet's storytelling and interaction between fawns.

If you'd like to come in late to part two that's fine! But your character must be in the main herd or must be a captured fawn ^^ If you want to join in note or comment with the character you want joining in and give me your email c:
