The mane and/or tail may also be the colour of the coat in some cases.

Notable Traits:
Temperment: Said to be nie untamable the Tygre of the Old Heralds is renowned for its wild and ruthless fury which is said to resemble that of DarkDrak in its capabilities for power and destructiveness when provoked. Ancient warlords were said to have tamed them and used them to pull their chariots due to their legendary swiftness.

Culture:
Tygre use a Lunar CalendarRespect:
A culture based on pride, reverence and respect to loose this is the worst of punishments for a Tygre and they will do anything in their power to avoid a tarnishing of their respect. Those who have suffered a loss of respect are marked by black-lined white sigils. In minor offences this is a sign of disgrace and other tygre will both avoid and attempt to assist the tarnished individual to regain their respect. When a tygre is irreversibly shamed these same markings are etched into pelt and flesh with claws and magic so it can never be removed. The worst extent of these both cross out the tygre's features and resemble a skeletal design; marking the tarnished out as faceless and dead to its kind.Gender roles:
Are actually rather androgynous; for Tygre prowess and abilities are more valued and considered than one's gender. This is in part due to the relative lack of gender dimorphism. A cub is tested to determine those skills they are most attuned to and assigned a mentor on adolescence who can further their learning in these areas.Technology and Currency:
Tygre use their claws to carve stone into weaponry, instruments and pottery. Their runes are often carved on pebbles, but also on wood. Armor is made of carved hardwood and runes (if it is used at all) For tygre currency is a simple, and yet intricate system of trade and debt by word. Goods are traded for items of equal value; or a promise of some service or goods of the same. If any tygre fails to uphold their debts their Respect is thereby tarnished.Ranks:
Benadur
Translation: Leader, Chieftan, SoverignThe leader of the clan a Benadur is chosen via a mixture of prowess and lineage. The most capable offspring of the current Benadur is chosen to become the Aer, or apprentice to the leader at adolescence; and will apprentice beneath their parent for the role.
The current Benadur, or the Aer, can be challenged at any time if another tygre feels themselves better suited to the role. If the challenged agrees they will willingly step aside for the good of the clan; if not then the pair will be put to a series of Rites called the Blaenwr. The Blaenwr are designed to test not only the power but also the wisdom, cunning, skill and prowess of a potential Benadur, thus the winner is clearly the best choice for the role of Benadur of their clan.
Rhyfel
Translation: Constable, GeneralThree to five depending on the size of the clan, the Rhyfel is the enforcer of the laws and traditions of the clan. As well as the defenders directly beneath their Benadur in battle. Acting as generals and reporting to their leader.
Milwyr
Translation: Soldier, WarriorThe main combat force of a clan warriors are expected to defend their clan against any and all threats and are experts in the dangers of their territories.
Saethyd
Translation: Archer, RangerTygres who have mastered the art of magical combat, the battlemages of their clans. Like all warriors Saethyd are expected to defend their clan against any and all threats, and are experts in the dangers of their territories.
Iachäwr
Translation: HealerTyger who have mastered the art of healing magics, runes and poultices.
Croesan
Translation: Scapegoat (generally rendered as 'comedians')Though at first glance one would see a Croesan as little more than a professional fool closer inspection finds these seeming buffoons hold a surprisingly high rank amongst their clans. This is because not only is a Croesan tasked with keeping the peace in their clans and lighten the moods of their comrades, but they are the ones who keep the legends and stories of the clan, and the species as a whole.
Helfarch
Translation: HunterHuntsmen, Fishermen and fowlers the Helfarch provide the main bounty for their clan. Masterful trackers and trappers they are skilled at bringing down large game, often taking down prey far larger than themselves.
Casgarch
Translation: GathererBoth farmers and true gatherers going out into the wood to find wild edibles Casgarch supply staples to extend and reinforce the proteins Helfarch bring in, as well as the occasional crop of eggs and other special treats.
Mhrentis
Translation: ApprenticesAdolescents who have been tested on their abilities and placed under an older ranked tygre to perfect those skills they have shown most proficient in.
Cenau
Translation: CubsTiny bundles of fluff and vitriol...
Breeding:
Fully grown: 35 Maritable age: 25-30 Adolescence: 21-25# of offspring: 1-5
(rarely up to seven have been seen in a litter)
Couples are chosen by a unique ritual combining Rhythm and combat, the tygre hoping to earn their mate(male or female there is no gender role to approach another in courtship) will initiate the courtship traditionally under either the full or new moon depending on specific tribal customs. The courtship is a mingling of dance and combat intended to test both prowess and compatibility.
So long as the pair can fall into tempo neither will be harmed in this display, if the courtier however cannot match tempo with their prospective mate however, one misstep, will see them hit by the attacks of their prospective partner; a sure sign the pair is not intended to pair up.
Domestic colours signify that the individual is born from tamed parents. These individuals are thus generally more docile than wild-born Tygres. Pups will inherit realistic genetics, or at the very least a mixture of colors/markings from their lineage.
