What is a Ryuunu?
A mystical creature based in a dragon and a dog together. It is said they will bring happiness and good luck to the people that can get one. Read all the Species Guides for more information.


1. Where does the Ryuunu name come from?
The name "Ryuunu" comes from the words "Ryuu" and "Inu" which mean "dragon" and "dog" in Japanese.
Both "Ryuunu" and "Ryûnu" are correct.


What's the Ryuunu biology?
Ryuunu is a combination between a dragon and a dog; giving them mythological characteristics like a back mane, long dragon whiskers, dragon tail, etc., as well as canine characteristics like ears, body fur, dog paws and the like. Characteristics of this species are drawn from both species, some from dragons and some from dogs, and the specific features never change.

Draconic features include whiskers, horns, back mane, tail, eyes and scales. Canine features include ears, paws, the main body shape and paws. The shape of the ears and the fur's pattern vary depending on the breed of dog used. Ryuunu eyes are able to see in the dark like dragons and can also resist wind and dust. Since they are not only dogs and are partially dragons, they are much larger than normal dogs, but they still maintain the same relative proportions between various dog breeds.


What are Ryuunu gender differences?
There are THREE clear differences between males and females:

Firstly, females have long and sharp corners to their eyes.
Secondly, females have two points on their horns instead of only one.
Thirdly, females have an extra whisker each side of their tails.


What's Ryuunu main behaviour?
This species, like dogs, are very territorial but also very loyal. They are not violent but if they feel threatened they can use their powers to fight.


What's Ryuunu main diet?
Ryunnu are omnivorous creatures, meaning that they can eat both plants and other animals. The diet of any individual Ryunnu will vary, from fish, meat or vegetables, based on the breed of dog and its own tastes.


Where do Ryuunu live?
All Ryuunu live in The Ryuunu Mountains. Those mountains form a circle, creating a valley with a large lake in the middle. Each mountain has a different climate, causing each Ryuunu to live in the one they find most comfortable.


Can humans enter the Ryuunu Mountains?
There is an invisible energy barrier that protects the Ryuunu Mountains, created by the Easter Dragon Soul to protect Ryuunu Species. When a human crosses that line, they must obey the rules there. If a human breaks a rule, a Fire Ryuunu called Michio will appear and give them a Warn. After some warns, Michio will exile that human forever.


How many warns can a human get?
A human can get 3 warns:

• First warn: Yellow
• Second warn: Orange
• Third warn: Red

Will everyone see who's warned?
No. The warnings will be delivered by Note, so other users will not see you have been warned and won't treat you as a rulebreaker. The information will stay between a warned user and us. Also, don't think bad about yourself or ourselves for getting a warning, we are only trying to follow rules as we don't want anarchy in this friendly species.


Can a human remove their warnings?
Yes, a warning will be automatically removed from our internal Warning list after a good behaviour time.

• Yellow Warning expires after 2 weeks of good behaviour.
• Orange Warning expires after 2 months of good behaviour.
• Red Warning expires after 6 months of good behaviour.

What does happen exactly when a human gets 3 warnings?
When a human accumulates 3 warnings and receives a fourth one before expiring, depending on how bad were the actions they did, that human can be exiled forever from the Ryuunu Mountains. That will mean to be added to the Blacklist, and everyone will be able to see it. Also, if that human bad actions are intentional from the very beginning they can get a direct ban and be directly posted in the Blacklist.


How did the very first Ryuunu appear?
Since long ago dogs have been loyal to humans, but sometimes dogs are abandoned by them. One of those dogs was a male Shar Pei and he was still pretty young. He travelled for a long time, walking and walking, until he arrived to some virgin mountains untouched by humans. The air was fresh and pure and the landscape was beautiful. It started to rain, and as he hadn’t eaten anything in days, the Shar Pei had to enter a nearby cave to keep warm. Once inside, he heard a voice calling him to go deeper into the cave. Bravely he delved deeper into the dark passageways until he found a powerful, bright light. A voice spoke to him from the light, identifying itself as a dragon soul, an "Easter Dragon" soul to be exact. The soul talked to the dog, saying that it would give him an amazing power.

The Shar Pei was already very weak, having already lost everything else he had but his life, but he slowly stepped forward and let the light envelop him as the voice had spoken. In seconds the Shar Pei started to notice that his body was changing! His ears, his tail, his claws, his whiskers! He was completely transformed after that: the dragon soul gave him the power of the Eastern Dragons. The dragon soul told him that from then on, he would be protected by the dragon power for being the most loyal species in the world. The dragon also said that he could use the soul’s light to transform other dogs if he so wished, but it would work only on other dogs.

With renewed strength the Shar Pei went out of the cave and instantly noticed that his body was much stronger and faster. He couldn't help but go and hunt something to eat. Despite the rain, with his new body he didn't have any problems hunting. It was then the Shar Pei decided that he would find other abandoned dogs and bring them here so that they may all live together and in peace.


Who created and designed the Ryuunu Species?
Ryuunu was designed by Cachomon and improved with the help given by Tetsumon.


Will there be a western Ryuunu?
Yes, Ryuunu has 3 subspecies: Eastern, Wyvern and Western. But they will be available when Eastern subspecies is totally finished and with much more owners. You can see a sketch of each here:

How can Ryuunu happen?
- When they are still dogs, they can be converted into a Ryuunu going to the
Dragon Soul cave and being enveloped by it.

How are Ryuunu born and what do newborns eat?
Ryuunu are born from eggs. And they are nursed until they get teeth.
