Description
Gold Lord has officially started his endurance career! 2 1/2 years after I bought him and he's finally on his quest to the top! My art has come so far since then. Can't wait to see how much we will improve!

Enzo just knew, just knew this part of the race was going to cause him some trouble. Of course, this was the reason why Enzo chose this race as Goldie's first endurance race. Had to start somewhere and where else was better than the bottom. You could only improve from there and that's exactly what Goldie needed. Improvement.
He was green when it came to endurance races. He'd been around the Allspire Isles covering multitudes of terrain but he had never been entered into a race before. And this race just happened to have what the young akhal teke stallion was most afraid of; a high mountain trail with an edge that ended with a drop off.
Gold Lord wasn't the type to spook when afraid. He would watch and take things slow with the guidance of a trusted handler. Heights still scared him but at least he could conquer them with some effort.
He had covered the desert with ease. If there was anything Goldie loved it was shedding off the excess energy that usually accompanied him when he stayed still for too long. The stretch of dry land proved a good place to pick up the pace. The rocky lowland required a slower pace but he had still managed quite nicely for an inexperienced horse. Just like Enzo figured the mountains would be what would snag the Teke's finishing time. He could live with that. All that mattered was starting from the bottom and working your way up. The next time a mountain stood in Goldie's path Enzo could only hope that the past experience would help shed some of that fear.
