Leapers: Rescue Mission

Ether's portal opened to a scene of utter devastation as she and Lynn raced to answer Jannika's distress call. They caught sight of the pretty blond Allurian as she flew through the air backward and slammed into the ground, skidding along until finally a wall stopped her.

The grey skinned monstrosity whose blow had felled her took a menacing step toward Jannika.

"Hey you, ugly, how about you try me for size?" Lynn yelled to draw the creatures attention.

"Lynn, what are you doing? " Ether asked

"Get Jannika out of here, I will draw it off" Lynn told Ether, gulping nervously as she saw the sharp bones that protruded from the beast's knuckles. Suddenly this idea seemed a lot less good than it had seconds ago, but she was committed now.

"But Lynn..." Ether called after her friend as the young Amazon slid between the beasts legs, and landed several quick blows before darting out of range, drawing the beast away, "My powers need to recharge" Ether finished lamely. Hopefully Lynn could buy enough time for Ether to gather enough juice to get all three of them out of here. Ether ran and checked on Jannika.

The Allurian groaned but didn't open her eyes, she had taken quite a beating in the fight. "I need to get us to a hospital" Ether thought as she gently gathered Jannika in her arms and started to open a portal. It was going to be slow in forming, her powers were still low.

"Okay go go go" Lynn yelled as she returned. The creature was behind her, following slowly, seemingly in no hurry.

"Ether..go?"

"Lynn, I need more time!  You've got to keep him occupied a little longer" Ether gasped as she struggled to force her portal open.

"Oh Poo" Lynn thought to herself as she turned to face their approaching doom.

"You better hurry, I am not in the same weight class as that thing" Lynn told her friend as she clenched her fists and took a step forward. "Weight class, who am I kidding, I am not even in the same postcode" Lynn thought to herself, the next few minutes promised to be the longest of her adventurous life so far.
