PKMN Burst Round10 - Part2

Despite their clear disadvantage, the trio threw water balloons back at their opponents. For each water bomb they threw, 3 more would splat at their face. It quickly discouraged the brothers who went back to ducking within the fort. Doing so would not protect them however as the children were coming up with multiple ways to reach their target, be it by launching the flying type warriors or by catapulting balloons or themselves at the colorful fort's walls. The boys cried and begged for this to end.

That is until they noticed that their near ally wouldn't stop despite the odds being against them.

"Kid! Get down! We are quitting!"

"Muk no!" Anise replied, momentarily forgetting her acting. "I m-mean, the game is not over yet!"

"We have no chance, there really is no point in trying here!"

"Not with that attitude! You don't win by quitting!" Anise kept throwing water balloons. At one point she even got one splatting at her arch-rival's face. Only to get 2 more thrown at her from the Archen Burst.

"ONLY I CAN DEFEAT MY RIVAL!" The Archen yelled. The Shellos burst sighs and asked herself if she was really like that! It has to be the first time she can see and even battle herself, well her past self.

"As I was saying, even if we are not winning, we should keep trying, at least to make this fig---game worthwhile. You cannot win if you quit. Even if you end up loosing the batt---round, you'll get stronger from the fighti---playing. So either way you win! Plus there is still a chance that odds will go our way." Anise continued, not looking at the brothers and trying to change her voice just to make sure that the brothers wont tell who she is.

Adamas and Perle pout for a while, not considering what the Shellos just told them.

"She is not going to stop is she?" Adamas whispers.
"Does not look like it" Perle replied.

"Also you guys, Aren't you both Dragons? Resistant to water and all?" Anise interrupts.

"Water yes! Exploding rubber bombs, NO!" The Legendary bursts shout in unison.

"Whatever, keep hiding if you want, I'll just have fun without you guys!" Anise laughs, she was not really having as much fun as she was trying to pretend.

For a few minutes, the brothers stayed as hidden as they could, but they kept getting splashed, at some point Perle snaped.

"Ugh That's it!" He stood up and grabbed a bunch of water balloon and threw them at the taller fort. "If everybody is having fun then so should we!"
Adamas hesitantly takes a balloon as well "Fine, for this round, the competitor gets to choose the game, then we'll be even!" he stood up and joined the fort's rampart to launch water balloons as well.

"Now that's more like it!"

With all this, Anise came to realize what drew her to try to impress the Victory Pokemon. From her view, Victory overall was not just about winning. It could be reached from moving on losses, no matter how many there were and that it could not be reached by quitting. Since the start of this tournament, she lost many of her battles. Since she started as a trainer, she lost even more battles, but she wouldn't of won any had she given up. She may not be a Champion, or an Elite or some other famous trainer and it might take a long time before that changes, but nothing will change from stopping. That is why she has to make it home, with help or not.
