Day 3 Witch

Day three of the Halloween pictures! I had wanted to upload it yesterday, but wasn't able to finish it until now (a day later). I REALLY like how this turned out, I think it may be my favorite painting I've ever done. The lighting was fun, lining the Queen of Spades was so much fun, and just trying to get more detail and stuff in the picture! I'd love to try another indoor picture sometime, it was a challenge figuring out straight lines (I cheated ) so I can try and like, get little details in, like hanging flower to dry and pots and pans on the walls. I added the logs in last minute, since it looked kind of bare along the fire place.

SO, here we have The Queen of Spades as a witch! She is such an awesome character, and she does seem to give off a vibe (at least to Amaya) of creepiness and strangeness. Someone perhaps is trying to bargain with her, and she is not happy with what they are asking for (perhaps the price they want). Got some witch brew bubbling up in the cauldron, some ingredients and a mortar and pestle. AND A SKULL WITH A CANDLE!?! She's got all sorts of cool little trinkets. I do kinda picture this as her little cabin, though with a smaller cooking pot, but just filled with trinkets and books and all sorts of cool stuff!
