Description

Here we have the Kirichu, a magical relative of the Giraffidae family, smaller than Giraffes but larger than Okapis. Kirichu are characterized by their large ears and 3 horns, with two horns between the ears for decorative or defensive purposes, and a single horn in the center of the forehead which allows them to express their magic. Kirichu live alone or in small social groups, and communicate to one another with coos (similar to doves) and humming.

Up to 50% of Kirichu pairs are in homosexual relationships, and caring for fawns is often shared between all nearby friendly Kirichu, regardless of family relations.

Kirichu magic is practical as well as cultural; most magic is used to manipulate the world around them to aid in survival, from helping fruits to grow quickly or flowers to bloom, to detecting poisonous foods and creating triggers to signal when predators are nearby; other magic is used to create visual and other sensory messages, from fireworks-like displays for story telling, to allowing them to decorate and style each other for rituals and gatherings.

They may also leave small, glowing spores on trees and leaves as they travel through the forest, which act as visual beacons to tell other Kirichu who is in the area and where to find the best fruits and fresh water.
