Central Marketplace, Andalusst City
-Wesley’s Point of View-

“A meatroot for ya, another meatroot for ya, then a fleshcaps for ya…”

I mumbled as I swiftly hand out these meat packages before me to those meat-loving Pokémon lined up perfectly in front of my stand. It’s crowded in this street market and it is normal because the food giveaway. I basically didn’t have any time to rest.

Then I looked around the other stands around mine—crowds of hungry, heavyweight Pokémon rushing toward the stands, trying to get their tummy filled as soon as possible. Some starving Pokémon even put their weight on the stands they are waiting at because more ‘mons trying to squeeze toward the front. Daffodil and Nimbus, from Team Dauntless, tried their best ordering the horde while passing out the packages. In the end Daffodil just ran away, leaving her winged partner handing out the food himself while trying to hold on to the wooden stall from collapsing.

As the ‘mons came and go one by one, I peeked through the gaps between the line and saw a Magmortar trying to skip into the line.

I had the line gave me a clear line of view to the back of the line. “Hey!” I shouted. “Get to the back of the line like everyone else do!”

That ‘mon turned and stared at me. He didn’t say a word, but judging by the way he looked at me, he isn’t going to walk away either.

I lifted a brow and zapped him with a Thunderbolt out of nowhere.

The line flinched as the jolt came by them. When they came by, they saw the line-skipper passed out right next to them after the jolt.

“Read the sign next time before you decide to skip at my stall, sucker,” I called out.

The sign was something I made that is placed the beginning of the line, saying, “Get in the line or get zapped”. I’m not kidding about that.

*Crash!!!*

Everyone looked to their left and surprisingly realized Nimbus’s stall collapsed and the wreckage buried the Aerodactyl under it. The massive amount of ‘mons pressured the already-fragile stall and it fell apart. The culprits were long gone when we realized what happened.

Grace and I rushed there first as we were the closest to the scene (Grace’s stall was 2 stalls over and mine was right next to it). We watched at the large pile, not knowing what to do.

“Oh God…” I moaned.

“That’s nasty…” Grace followed.

“Don’t just stand there and watch! Help me!” Nimbus cried from under the wreckage.

Grace is quadrupedal and can’t lift stuff with her front paw, I’m a ghost who can only lift light stuff. There’s no way the both of us can clear the wreckage alone.

Zenneth from Truth Hunters, Akatsuki from Plague, Dastan from Emberfrost, and Aedus of Humble and Bold all rushed to the scene seconds later. They were all attending to stalls nearby that day.

“What happened!?” Zenneth asked.

“There was too much ‘mons leaning on that stall and it fell apart…” I replied.

“There’s more, Nimbus is buried under it!” Grace added in panic.

“What a mess…” Aedus commented.

“Let’s just get Nimbus out quickly,” Zenneth remarked. “Akatsuki, give me a hand, please?”

“Alright,” Akatsuki nodded as he walked to the wreckage together with Zenneth and started moving the heavy two-by-fours away.

“I’ll help,” Dastan said as he took out his stave and started moving things with Psychic.

Grace, Aedus, and I continued handing out packages together while the others dug Nimbus out.

That’s when I wished Max was there to help us out a bit.

Wear n’ Flair, Andalusst City
-Max’s Point of View-

Emberfrost’s Neige and I slowly move the heavy load of spoolstone toward Wear n’ Flair. The boutique is located in the little shop in the middle of the city. We picked up the orders from Teresa and we were tasked to deliver them.

When we reached the door of the shop, I walked into the shop, approached the counter, and rang the bell. “Delivery for Chantelle~” I called out.

Out comes a Furfrou with fancy accessories, with an impressed expression.

Bonjour, monsieur! Are you here to deliver the goods I ordered?” Chantelle asked.

“Yes ma’am,” I replied. “They’re all outside waiting for ya.”

Fabuleux! You are the first one ever to deliver it on time! I’m impressed!” she said.

We both walked out of the store to the waiting cart and Neige for Chantelle to check on the delivery. She looked impressed at the quality of the spoolstone I delivered.

“You’ve done a fabulous job so far! I’m starting to like you!” Chantelle remarked. “So… how much is all this?”

“Uh… let’s see…” I took out a small piece of paper and looked at it. “200 Star Coins.”

Chantelle’s faces instantly changed from impressed to shock then to unpleased in matters of seconds.

“200!? Tu te moques de moi!?” she cried.

“Yeah, that’s what I’m told to collect,” I innocently replied.

“Non! Non! Non! That’s too much!” Chantelle shook her head hard. “I’ll only pay 100 for this.”

I’m stunned. “A hundred!? Madame, I’m only here to deliver and collect the goods! Even if I’m the merchant myself, there’s no way I would give 50% discount just like that!”

“How about 130?” Chantelle tried again.

“No.”

“How about 150 then?”

“No. 200 and that’s what I’m here for.”

“Okay, how ‘bout 165?”

I just showed her the inquiry impatiently. “All due to respect, Madame, I’m only here to collect 200 Star Coins assuming that you already made this deal with the Guild before they sent me here,” I firmly said. “Now, if you don’t want to pay, I can just take the whole cart away with me and tell Teresa that ‘the boutique owner is trying to take advantage of newbies by haggling ridiculously low at the delivery boy’. Your choice.”

Chantelle didn’t say a word. She turned to the store and came out with a bag of 200 Star Coins.

“This is blackmail,” she growled as she hand me the bag.

“Thank you for your business,” I replied and left with Neige.

On our way back, Neige turned to me and asked, “Wow, Chantelle is famed for being stubborn and harsh around here. How did you tame her?”

“Just tell her the truth,” I casually replied.
Errand: #12
Client: Teresa
Date of Issue: November 13, 2014
Handler: Max and Wesley of Team Eurasia
Objective: Delivery to Wear n' Flair/Meat giveaway on street market
Reward(s): 1 Star Coin(s)

Wesley is a bit of a perfectionist and he would enforce it on anyone, including to those lining up on his stall. In fact, his stall would be the fastest one to hand out all packages to the waiting 'mons if Nimbus's stall didn't fell apart. Ouch! XD

What Max does best is to be straightforward. He was just a delivery boy and gets impatient very easily if got into something he's not supposed to responsible of, like haggling. XP

HAHA WOW Daffodil you just ran away. JUST RAN AWAY. LEFT NIMBUS TO FEND FOR HIMSELF. i can't get over that
The whole incident was just so hilarious, thanks for showing those two losers

And I gotta say, Wesley has commendable patience dealing with those customers
though now I understand why Daffodil felt the urge to ditch out like that
