Details

Personality: Raiden is a little hothead. He is very bold and brave, almost to the point of arrogance. He isn't afraid of anything - something which his friends often worry about, thinking he'll throw caution to the wind in dangerous situations. He loves his family (mother, father, Skyla, Tarian) and friends fiercely and will defend them to the death. He is a mischievous fawn who often gets himself into trouble and is a handful, but he tries to be good for his mother because he loves her so. His mother 

Appearance: Too dark to be classed as blessed by Grian, Raiden still has patches of gold on his dark coat. Despite his dark appearance he is pure Silverthorne and he can (and will) laugh at all the doubters while dancing in the flames :3

History:

Raiden was born to Lyanna and Rhinestone, and had the pleasure of spending his first year in a loving environment with both parents and his older sister Skyla. He was happy and content.

But then, after the first year of his life, his parents split up and Raiden left his home. For the first time in his life Raiden knew what it was to experience loss; not only did he leave the place that had been home for his entire life, but he left his father behind. Rhinestone was a good father, and visited often...but it wasn't the same as living with him. Shortly afterwards Lyanna left him and Skyla in the care of their great grandmother while she travelled Silverthorne's extensive territory. For the 2nd time in the same season Raiden grieved. He grieved because while his mother hadn't died, she had left and the little colt didn't know when, or even if, she'd be back. Silverthorne was full of dangerous things waiting to kill them after all. He takes great comfort in being with Skyla since she is the one remaining person he has lived with since birth, and also in the unwavering strength of his gran, Tarian.

Raiden is reunited with his mother in Spring after she returns from her travels. He learns the reason for her leaving and is furious that Rhinestone's leaving her for another doe drove her away. He doesn't understand how loving one doe means you have to leave another, having grown up in a world where stags live with up to five does and their offspring at the same time. This causes him to come to the conclusion that Rhinestone didn't just leave them for another family, he left them for a "better family". Throughout the year, Raiden grows more and more angry with Rhinestone for leaving them, especially as he didn't even come back to live with them once Lyanna left. Despite this, the little colt loves his father and usually forgets his anger when they are together, only occasionally asking awkward questions or saying nasty things.

Raiden is able to practice magic this year, and he begins to do so with great enthusiasm. He is desperate to be a strong magic user as well as a good fighter. The determination to become a general have never been stronger! Together with that, his anger with his sire has yet to disappear...but the growing colt usually doesn't show it. He's even heard rumours of his father siring fawns able to use magic from birth, adding to his fear that he won't ever be good enough for Rhinestone. In an effort to combat this, he throws himself into his training so that he may one day prove himself to be more worthy of Rhinestone's affections than the "better family" and his other fawns.
