I thought it'd be best to write these down before misconceptions happen (luckily they haven't, but preventing is always best!) This journal contains the basic rules for a MYO, what you can do with it, and what if you want to get rid of your Aigippus (goes for MYO and ones designed by me).
Make Your Own rules
- You can make an Aigippus as a character of your own, or as a gift to someone else.
- You can make one for FREE.
- You can NOT make adoptables/custom designs of them for points/money. Only people who have explicit permission from Vuurstern may make adoptables of them (see list below).
To get an Aigippus approved, draw the design and show it to Vuurstern. Then art of the character will be accepted into the group. Your design will be approved when:
- The rarity sheet has been respected:
- The anatomy is correct ( see the species information sheet and these examples to understand their anatomy)
- The colours are realistic:
They can have any fur colour that is realistic for a mammal. If your colours look a bit too saturated or unnatural (for example, as orange as oranges, bright red or a bit too blue) I will ask you to tone them down a bit. They also shouldn't have 100 completely different colours in their fur.
- The markings are realistic: that basically means no heavily shaped (for example a butterfly- or music note-shaped) markings. Also, no heavily themed designs. It's fine to have a certain animal's looks in mind while designing your Aigippus, but keep it believable. Also, not every design has to be based on something!
- (Highly preferred) it has stripes on some part of the design. Striping is a key trait of Aigippus and they should have, at least, striping somewhere (even if it's vague). The most common place for this is the hindquarters. Striping also commonly occurs on the legs (unless there are white markings covering it), dorsal stripe, shoulder/neck and ear edges. No striping whatsoever is very rare and I'd prefer to keep those designs rare.
So you have an Aigippus. What can you do with it? And what not?
What you can do
- Make as many Aigippus as you want
- Make a free Aigippus for someone else
- Give your Aigippus away for free
- Trade your Aigippus (for other characters, art etc.)
- Sell your Aigippus character for a price you deem fitting
What you can NOT do
- Make Aigippus adoptables or custom designs for money/points unless you have explicit permission from Vuurstern
- Make an Aigippus with rare, very rare or impossible traits without permission
- use an unnatural Aigippus in the events
Also, if you want to get rid of your Aigippus, contact me (Vuurstern), I might be interested in taking it off your hands
I guess that's all I needed to say on this topic! In case you wonder why I set these rules, I don't want people to make profit out of my species, I find that rather rude. Of course, they aren't legally copyrighted, but I find it a matter of decent manners to respect the wishes of a species owner. As this is a relatively unknown open species, I don't really expect many people trying to scam others and all, but you never know. I'll also include a list with people who can make adoptables below here.

News Journal
This is just a journal for news and updates in the group!
Up until this day I (Vuurstern (https://www.deviantart.com/vuurstern)) was the only admin in this group, but today draqiin (https://www.deviantart.com/draqiin), Griwi (https://www.deviantart.com/griwi) and SheepMaker (https://www.deviantart.com/sheepmaker) have joined as admins to help me out with various aspects of the group. We plan to do more world building, creating events following Flooded and a storyline to put your characters in, things to achieve and a lot more! There will also be more adoptables, so if you don't have any design ideas yourself, there should be options to buy designs from us.
We're going to see where this is going! I know the group has been somewhat dormant up until this point, bu
Event: Travelling ENDED
EDIT: Event will be extended to the 15th of September to allow people more time to enter if they wish to do so!
This journal describes the ongoing event. The current event is Travelling.
Sorry there has been no activity in this group for a while aha we're doing our best but we all just started college again and life is hard. The winner of TRAVELLING will be announced as soon as I can talk to the other guys! <3 Thanks so much for participating! Hopefully we will have a new event up soon as well, will keep you posted! - draqiin (https://www.deviantart.com/draqiin)

Hoofprints
Hoofprints are the group currency of Aigippus (https://www.deviantart.com/aigippus). They are entirely optional, and you do not need to collect them if you're not interested in them! You can use them to receive art prizes of your Aigippus. Other prizes may be added later.
Basic calculations Images must be related to group events in order to count for hoofprints! Random art will not count.
Headshot, bustshot of halfbody: 1 hoofprint
Fullbody: 2 hoofprints
One extra Aigippus in the drawing, belonging to you: 1 hoofprint (if not fullbody, then 0)
