Family:   Father— Parnell Adalstan; head of brick mason company; Alex doesn't dislike his father, but he has no real affection saved up for the man. Alex assumes he prefers his sister, and due to infantile jealousy at seeing Parnell constantly around her, Alex grew up emotionally detached from his father and solely interacts with him when topics of the Games or his training is at hand.
              Mother— Maisie Adalstan; plasterer; his relationship with his mother is mostly favorable when his sister isn't in the picture. She's caring, but has always shown more affection toward Edith, which made him always resent her company or beg for it. Now Alex only goes to her when he needs/wants something he can't get himself.
             Sister— Edith Adalstan; blacksmith apprentice; Edith is 3 years younger than Alex and is a major kiss-up. She and him don't really have a favorable relationship due to one being jealous of the other and the age gap makes Alex automatically feel superior, which naturally, his sister dislikes.
Significant other: Jean DeLuca; one year younger than him and one of his closest friends since childhood. They have been in an open relationship for three years now.
Personality: Alex has a very bitchy, rich-kid attitude that makes him feel like he deserves everything he asks for. He's not as outwardly and verbally tough as he is whiny and judgmental. He can get very easily jealous of people and constantly fights for attention, and will do just about anything to get it. He’s obsessive over people that have shown interest in him, and tends to cling onto them for support whilst repelling those he feels don’t care about him. Alex is a compulsive liar and will say anything he thinks will get him by whatever situation necessary, though he doesn’t usually keep track of his stories, nor is he good at changing them on command without tripping himself up. Aside that, he's very childish in the sense that he'll mock others and act all high and mighty like he owns the place, and much like an attention-needy child, he will always try to pry compliments from other people (specifically strangers), and constantly needs to be under supervision. If he feels completely at ease, he can easily become one of the best of friends, a good shoulder to cry on, and get his sincere opinions on things; and not being the brightest bulb in the box, Alex, the same way can lie, is prone to falling for whatever promise people make that he wants to believe in. He considers Jade Sterlingshire his best friend, and will openly gossip with her and tease her, and will always take advantage of her company to poke fun at other people instead of keeping to himself. Despite him not wanting to admit it, Alex doesn’t want to have to kill his best friend and training partner, but he tries to use her as a form of motivation to distract himself from the truth. He's impulsive, rash, and instinctive, which helps him be fast on his feet but restricts him from seeing the bigger picture. 
he enjoys using her as a form of motivation to try harder in combat, and that distracts him from the truth of what he wants to happen. Around others especially, Alex has the tendency to show off and holds no regard to the element of surprise; he’s impulsive and rash, and goes solely off instinct, which helps him move fast, but keeps him from seeing past his own hand.
