Proteus

An individual named after his own species, as "The Proteus". In other words, he's the chief of the kind.
Led escaping human slaves and helped still "free-kingdoms" against the Telchine Empire in more than some 60 centuries ago.
His reptilian kind came from the water to help those in the surface who were suppressed by the mammalian forces of the joint of Minotaurs, Satyrs and Telchines. The battle ended with a great flood, extingushing the megafauna (or at least it is thought as so - the Telchines learned how to keep them alive, contained in fossils deep within the Fields of Eris).
