Food. We all eat it-- some more than we should, others less. Some follow strict dietary rules; others simply stuff their faces with whatever is handy. Some of us eat out of a box; others on fine china and silver. Everyone's food ritual is unique to the individual, our habits grown out of our geography, social class, religion, economic status, and countless other influences...
The Prompt
Write from the perspective of one eating for the first time, or for the last time. The primary focus should not be on the food itself, but rather on the eater's process and experience. How does he/she taste their food, why did they eat what they did, what did it feel like? What memories did it spark, what connections did it create?
Side storylines and interests are welcome!
