Description
On January 30th 1985, Ice Climber game was released in Japan on Famicon. Featuring Nana and Popo conquering mountains and collecting vegetables. An alternative arcade version of the game called VS. Ice Climber was released later featuring some new content.
The characters weren’t seen in a while, until 16 years later, Nana and Popo made a come back in Super Smash Bros. Melee, representing the nes era and definitely being one of the most interesting and unique addition to game’s roster. Smash bros series definitely helped people to learn about these two and they even earned a place in the hearts of some of us. Including yours truly.
Now, in January 30th 2015, the series turns 30-years-old! I have no idea if Nintendo is even gonna acknowledge this, but you bet I will!
January 2015 is Ice Climbers’ Month!
That is right folks! Put on the sunglasses and pink shorts because EVERY SINGLE DAY of January 2015 I will draw something Ice Climbers related and finally celebrate their 30th anniversary. If you want to join, please let me know if you do something.
I am not expecting anyone to be this nuts and draw something every day but even small contributions would mean a lot to me. Never the less, I really hope you all will be looking forward to this.
