TEMPERAMENT: Highly dominant female. Very sure of herself, confident with other dogs, people, and in nearly every task. She is very tough and responds only to very firm corrections, which makes her a dog not for most people. She is quite reserved, territorial, but is difficult to handle because she is so driven and strong. However, her obedience is getting better and better every day, and she requires a lot of practice. She has good food drive as well so we marker train with her. She requires a lot of dominance exercises to remind her who the boss is. With most of my dogs, they "get it" and no longer challenge me, but with her, she just has that "edge". I like this though. I need this in my program. She has a natural hunting instinct which we have been developing out with her. In 3 days, she caught a total of 7 squirrels that have been terrorizing the cats in the trees at our farm! She is quick, stalks quietly, and pounces. She also chases away coyotes from the horses and goats which few of my other Corso do. She is very work oriented and has enough energy to work all day, but she isn't hyperactive. She is actually quite calm usually. She is not aggressive per se but provoke her and you'll be sorry. She is an awesome protector and I always feel safe with her.

CONFORMATION: I would consider Ashira to be a doggy bitch, but the thing with the Corso is that a doggy bitch is not a bad thing. She has very good bone, is balanced, muscular, and very powerful. I believe she will also be powerful in breeding. She looks a lot like both of her parents, but I think her face reminds me most of Arshavir. She has beautiful, clear, open eyes with good pigment of the skin surrounding and that trademark Corso caramel brown. She has a chiseled cheek, deep muzzle, long flews, and correct converging axes of the head. Her nostrils are wide open and her lips form an upside-down U in the front. Her neck is of sufficient length, she has a strong wither, forequarter, and hindquarter, good loin, deep ribcage, nice front. Her pasterns are good and she has the correct cat feet. Her only weakness is overangulation in the back, but her rear legs are otherwise strong with long thighs. Her tailset is nearly perfect to me.

DISCIPLINES: Hunting and guarding the farm.
NUTRITION: 2% bones; 96% raw meats (chicken, turkey, goat, beef, venison, and sometimes emu if we can get it); 2% organs (liver mostly). She does get tripe and pumpkin from time to time. Her supplements include ester-C, brewer's yeast, kefir, and glucosamine. Once weekly she gets raw fish for her omegas.
