-------------------------------------------------------------------
She was hopelessly lost. A viridian maze of plants towered above her small figure, endlessly sprawling in each direction. According to her map, she was going the right way - so why was it that there was only forest as far as she could see? Not that she was complaining, of course. Quiet, untouched places like this were extremely relaxing, and if anything the only complaint she had was that she was in a hurry. Passing tree after tree, eventually a clearing came into view, with one particularly large tree standing out more than the others, a door within its gigantic roots burrowing into the ground. Stood next to the entrance was also Robin and Kara, though the rest of the clearing was deserted. Of course she was late. Her gut suddenly aching from guilt, she glanced at Robin to see a dissapointed expression. Kara, clearly not impressed either, spoke up.
"'Course someone just had to show up later. These new recruits are slackers, I tell ya." Like a slap to the face, the already guilty Pokemon wondered why she even bothered to come. Robin, after looking at Kara with a silencing glare, turned to the small Pokemon again.
"What is your name and team name?"
"I-I'm Ari from Azure Serenity," she muttered, clearly ashamed of turning up late to the dungeon exploration.
"I see," Robin replied whilst thinking of how to handle the situation. "As you are the only one here, I'd like you to go into the dungeon and join up with another team." Dreading having to interact with others, Ari winced as she opened the dungeon doors (with help from Robin) and was greeted by a pitch black room, lit only by small, glowing flowers that were growing on vines. The glow revealed what the Eevee guessed was basalt, which made up the room's entirety. Although she was slightly mesmerized by the sight, the darkness around her made the situation more real - she was in a dungeon, with dangerous traps and who knows what else. And she was alone.
Deciding to scan the room for any potential dangers left over from the Explorers' run through the dungeon, the tiny Pokemon attempted to grab one of the small, glowing flowers, taking small, cautious steps. She reached towards the right where a couple were growing right next to each other, then quickly froze -- the echo of a small pebble falling down spooked the poor Eevee. Though she hated to admit it, she was somewhat afraid of the dark; or rather, what was inside it. Successfully plucking the two flowers from the vine after a paused shudder, she moved on to scanning the room for traps or enemies. Though she had brought her satchel full of berries in case things became scary, it wouldn't save her from a pitfall trap, especially since she was alone. Alone--
"Ow..." something small and hard had hit the Evolution Pokemon, and right in the head. Small and hard... a pebble? Pawing at the ground for whatever item it was, the Eevee had no time to react as a second pebble hit her, this time in the leg. Soon, a third and fourth pebble hit her, and familiar trembling had overtook her body as pebbles continued to hit her. Trying to move or run, she realized that her efforts were in vain - fear had overcome her, and she was frozen on the spot, unable to move or do anything. Suddenly the room became much brighter, and a couple of snorts in the form of laughter had revealed themselves, their owners opposite the Eevee, sitting on basalt pillars. Ari's eyes became watery all of a sudden, as she tried to fight back feelings of hurt. A Braixen and Meowth were across the room from her, smiling smugly as they picked up more pebbles and threw them at the defenseless Pokemon, who flinched in response. The Braixen had a stick in her hand, lit like a torch, and was waving it around while laughing with her partner. Ari could only stare at them, wanting to look away - but she couldn't, not now. She was better than them... but then why was she on the verge of crying? Muddled in her thoughts, the Braixen was the one to speak first.
"You're so creepy, you know? You have long, trailing ears, and act like you're some kind of ghoul." The fire type turned to the Meowth, inquisitive. "You think she's creepy too, right?"
The Meowth's ears perked up as if she was surprised, and she made a fake gasp. "Yeah, you're right! She really does look kinda creepy." Still frozen on the spot, her eyes fighting back tears, the Pokemon trembled so hard that she was finding it difficult to hold her satchel of berries. In her mind, she knew that she was better than them - that they were a load of crap from the society she lived in. But no matter how much her mind was telling her that she could overcome it, deep down inside she was afraid. Her body must have known this as well, because she was extremely panicked, and it had shut itself off from her commands, as if a wire had been cut that was connecting her desires to her actions.
The Braixen abruptly hopped off the pillar she was sitting on, the Meowth, like usual, following suit.
"Boo!" The foxlike Pokemon pulled out her tongue, causing Ari to flinch yet again, but this time not to pebbles or because she was being spooked - but rather at her words. The two Pokemon continued to advance slowly, purposely taking their time by pretending to investigate their surroundings, so that they could spook her again. Just as the Meowth jumped out to try and scare the terrified Pokemon again however, a small 'thump' resounded throughout the room. The cat Pokemon's face suddenly filled with dread as she realized what happened, the Braixen and Ari's face soon joining hers.
"What-" the Braixen's voice cut off, and all that could be heard above the sound of the explosion were two terrified screams. And then, everything went white as the Eevee, along with the other two Pokemon, passed out.
